Bought this for extra storage on my PS5. Can confirm it works! 5637 MB/s read speeds whereas Playstation recommends 5500 MB/s. I transferred Astro's Playroom to the SSD and did not noticed any performance issues with the game. I do recommend getting a separate low profile heatsink for this from Amazon. The model that comes with a heatsink might work but you will not be able to use the cover to close up the area. This uses TLC NAND which is the cheaper and slower version of NAND. I don't plan to play my games on the SSD much and will mainly use this as storage so I'm ok with it. The best performance for games, IMO and in theory, will be on the PS5 console storage. Some 4th gen M.2 SSDs have read speeds of 7000+ so I could be wrong. Reliability is hard to determine since it's so he, but this has a mean time before failure (MTBF) of 2,000,000 hours so I'm hoping this will outlast the 5 year warranty or even the PS5 generation. 1 month update: TBD 3 month update: TBD

One of the most affordable gen 4 NVME drives you can get. Installed it in my PS5 and I am not disappointed. Fast load times and integrated seamlessly with the console. No issues so far! Just had to purchase a separate heat sink. Would buy this brand again!

I love this NMVE. I cant wait to upgrade my motherboard to support more than 2. Im definitely getting more of these for my mext PC build and my soon upcoming upgrade.

If the applications and boot-up time on your PC are slow, consider getting better storage AND having your operating system moved to that new drive. It can potentially save a ton of money over getting other hardware upgrades.

Very fast boot time. Comes with something on it to help dissipate heat, so don't rip it off. Fit into motherboard fine, but the motherboard had a cover that was only for the longer version of these. I left the cover off and there has been no problems with the heat.

Got this at a great price point, probably the cheapest 4 x 4 NVMe 1TB drive I have found. Install was a snap and the access time is amazing, great addition to my desktop PC - made it my boot drive and it is now super fast to boot!

One of the cheapest m.2 i found for the ps5. So much easier to install console storage then PS4/PS3. Awesome!!

Dont overspend on M2 drives. You likely dont need (or wont achieve) max advertised speeds on most drives.

I wanted to upgrade the internal storage for my PS5 but didn’t want to double the cost of the console. This baby basically doubled my storage for a very affordable price. I haven’t noticed any performance hit at all. Would highly recommend!

In case you wonder: works just fine inside ps5 as long as you add a heat sink.
