These are the games that started it all. I'm happy that they are still very widely popular.

I first played this game 20 years ago, and decided to pick this one up and see if it is still as good as I remember. It is. It is still as addictive now as it was then. Those who have been playing the newer installments will find this to be much more difficult, largely due to lack of later conveniences such as EXP share, and changes to the amount of experience points awarded for victories. Graphically it's terrible compared to modern games, but very faithful to the original. The only thing missing is the ability to play it in Super Game Boy/Game Boy Color mode.

Pokemon Blue is one of the defining games of the Game Boy era. It is a fantastic game that is fun, has excellent music, and introduced the original 151 Pokemon. If you've never played this, I recommend it.
