Got this game for my 7 year old niece. She absolutely loved it. I think it's the perfect introduction to Pokemon for kids who may not be familiar with the franchise. It's basically a remake of the old Pokemon Yellow that came out for the gameboy many years ago, but remastered for the modern age. The game looks great. The catching mechanic is easy for kids to grasp. She loved catching the different Pokemon and also having them follow her around the game. This also carries some nostalgia for people who played the original game 20 years ago. I think this is a great game and would strongly recommend.

This game really takes me back to my childhood, and is what I imagined Pokemon would really be like when I was a kid. For the most part it's the same game as the original Pokemon yellow, but it has a few tweaks. You can now ride your Pokemon, your partner gets special skills, and there's multiple cute cutscenes that add to the presentation. Yes, catching Pokemon is simpler and done like Pokemon Go, but it doesn't really detract from the experience too much as there are plenty of trainer battles. It's definitely a good Pokemon game to hold us over til the new one comes in, so give it a shot!

I grew up playing Pokémon games but for the last several years I’ve steered clear of the recent games because they’ve added hundreds of lazily named and designed Pokémon that I simply don’t care about. They’ve also added a ton of activities and mechanics that add pointless things to the game. This one is basically an updated version of Pokémon Yellow that works very well with Go. If you liked the original games, you’ll love this one, the graphics and gameplay are great and it’s the original Pokémon so none of the dumb ones. It’s super fun, really nostalgic, and if you play Go it’s even better.

I am a huge fan of the first couple gens of Pokémon, the early games got so much right. So too, in suit, did let’s go pikachu, the spiritual successor of Pokémon yellow. Seeing the Pokémon alive in their world has been fantastic. The Pokémon go mechanics held me back from purchasing for a long time. They weren’t that bad when I started playing. handheld mode on my couch, aim and push a button. You could even get different sized mons for a little bonus and see shinies in the wild. However the motion controls in docked hold this title a little too far away to be a personal favorite. Docked mode will force a joy-con out of your hand in favor of a one remote play through. That along with no added support for pro controllers left this lacking. Don’t go into it expecting more than the “skyward sword” of Pokémon, unless handheld is all you play. All in all, worth a buy if a sale is on.

Extremely fun game and super nostalgic!! Only thing I regret is finishing it off so quickly, but had a blast while I did !!

I’ve collected all the original Pokémon games and I gotta say this new version and for the Switch is amazing and more simple, only thing is that when leveling up your Pokémon you can’t battle wild Pokémon and to level up is to catch Pokémon or battle people in the game
I played pokemon sword and shield and this game has way more graphics than those two games. You can't battle wild Pokemon sad part but you could battle Trainers and re battle gym leader after you beat the game. Best game for shiny hunter look in YouTube there is allot video. Overall don't listen what people say I know is not a FireRed and leaf green cause no national Pokedex but it's totally worth shiny hunting this is best game for shiny hunter.
this game is really fun to play, it has good story and great gameplay

This game is great, minus some of the new features. Like you can’t battle wild Pokemon... but it was still fun! 16 hours of gameplay if you rush a bit.

It's a fresh and fantastic take on the old Pokemon you know and love. It's somewhat different in various ways, but still a lot of fun. My take is it is aimed at newcomers and younger players, but there's absolutely a lot to love for veterans and nostalgia-chasers.

I bought this in addition to the Eevee version, but quickly dropped this one since it didn't have the Pokemon I wanted in it. Either way, this is Pokemon Go, but as a full game. It's weird in that you do a lot of catching of Pokemon, but not a lot of battling. They really take the catchphrase "Gotta catch'em all" to heart! Because you will be catching every single Pokemon you come across to try to get the best stats- or maybe even a shiny. It's an alright mechanic, but can get rather boring after awhile. It's really no surprise the game is as polarizing as it is. You either love it, or hate it. The game is worth a try if you want something more casual, but given that normal Pokemon games are already pretty casual this might be spread too thin to really keep you involved for very long.

It’s esentually Pokémon yellow version but In 3D with Pokémon visibly running around the wild and Pokémon go catching mechanics. Having a blast with the game. Always fun to go back to Kanto and the original 151 Pokémon. And to the naysayers who said this game would be bad without wild Pokémon battles: it’s actually almost better. The reason being is you can see the Pokémon in the wild and avoid them if you wish. We all know the terror of running into 1 million zubats and caterpies randomly in the wild. In this game you get to avoid that mess. 10/10

Essentially, Pokémon, Lets Go Pikachu! Is the Pokémon yellow version. Still a great game expanded to console. Graphics are way better than i remember on my Gameboy color. This game is great. Only take away i have is you are able to level up Pokémon with battle wild Pokémon like in the older versions. But it is still enjoyable.

Great remake of the original Yellow version. All the Pokémon's look great. I love that you can see Pokémon's roaming wildly in the grass. You can even transfer your Pokémon from Pokémon Go to here, which helps when you don't have a friend with Let's Go Eevee to trade into here so you can complete the Pokédex. I don't like the new catching mechanism which is similar to Pokémon Go, but it is a twist to the original formula that has been in the games since forever

The game starts off very easy and you might think you’ll get past this thing in a couple of weeks, but there is so much more to the game. Despite making it easy to level up your team, the game becomes increasingly more challenging as you progress, but never feels overwhelming. I highly recommend this game to everyone! Also, you can acquire ALL of the original starters (Carmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur) just by doing some simple tasks. You might even be able to catch some duplicates too for trading.

I LOVE THIS GAME! My favorite pokemon Series, the original games (Blue, Red, & Yellow version) Redesigned JUST ENOUGH to please the NEW crowd, BUT old school enough to please THE FAITHFUL OLDER FANS (Like me)! PS: NINTENDO, please don’t CUT BATTLES MORE THAN YOU HAVE ALREADY WITH THE WILD POKEMON. I UNDERSTAND THAT IT WAS TO SAVE THE HASSLE OF CATCHING POKEMON, BUT THAT WAS ACTUALLY HALF THE CHALLENGE, AND A PRETTY FUN EXPERIENCE IN MY OPINION! Now it’s a little TOO EASY... Yes even for the younger fans... Anyways, Thanks.

Perfect for recreating the nostalgia of OG pokemon games in Kanto region. The wild pokemon catching mechanics have been taken from Pokemon Go and is equally disappointing, but everything else is great.

If you remember playing Pokemon Red/Yellow, this is essentially that game, but upgraded. The graphics and colors are vibrant, playing in handheld mode isn't too bad, you can play with another person... and it incorporates Pokemon Go. You see Pokemon before interacting with them. If you're targeting a specific type then it's so much easier. There's still a bit of a grind, but nowhere close to what it once was. It's a fun game that anyone could pick up. It's the same game, but with some tweaks. Definitely love this game.
