Better color and graphics then ruby. In the beginning there is alot of talking but it's teaching how to play. Easy to play.

This game was as good as I thought it was going to be but with the Early on "hand holding" tutorials it dragged a bit. No gyms like the past games but instead the trainer must go through unique trials.

I got this for my 10 year old for Christmas along with several other pokemon games. He seems to enjoy this one the most.

Pokemon is something that can register with all ages. I'm a guy who doesn't game much, but I have a fondness for Pokemon. Upon getting this game, it was nothing short of fun. The storyline is quite annoying to have to go through so many lines, but nonetheless, the experience is GREAT! You will enjoy catching pokemon, battling them, and raising them. This game is fun for kids, teens, and adults. Pokemon creators have done it again to make a game that is fun, exciting, and challenging!

This is a great game! Really appreciate the removal of HMs and also has a unique story line (without gyms!).

Sun is really awesome. Different Pokemon from moon but still great game. Bought both so i can get the special Pokemon.

Having been away from the Nintendo/Pokemon scene for many years (haven't played since Ruby/Sapphire) I found myself way more excited that anticipated to play this new iteration. I recently tried version Y in the couple months before this released but it didn't give me the same feeling of nostalgia renewal as Pokemon Sun/Moon. The new pokemon are great and I love the new moves that came with them. It's incredibly helpful to not have to worry about HM's anymore too :P.

I bought pokemon sun and pokemon moon. In my opinion, it is a great game for those who never played pokemon before and those who have been playing pokemon for years. Good for beginners because the game play is very informative. As for the experienced players, this game is different because there are no gyms! In place of gyms are trials. Overall, I had a great time playing this game. I am highly satisfied with my purchase and I would recommend to all Pokemon lovers.

My kids really enjoyed the game, there ages are 12, 9 and 5.

If you've fallen out of Pokemon the last few gens I think its time for you to finally jump back in. X/Y laid the groundwork for Sun and Moon graphically but still very much felt like your standard Pokemon game. Sun and Moon doesn't strive to reinvent the wheel but it takes a lot of the best aspects of the previous gens and put them all into one game while doing plenty of new stuff. It'll still feel like a Pokemon game but its fresh enough where you'll enjoy it.

I haven't played any Pokemon game since the originals, but this game is a lot of fun. It has a very different story than in the past and has a great collection of new and old Pokemon. The best additions for me are the online features where you can trade online or through wonder trade (a random trade system where you select any Pokemon and receive a random Pokemon from someone else). Overall, if you were ever a fan of the game, it is worth a buy.

You're probably already playing this if you've loved a previous game in the series... so it's a given. For those who have not yet been won over through the years, this one is an evolution that I think should. Strategy that can be as simple or complex as you would like with a system that continually rewards the player who sticks with it. Love being able to teach my son the basics of a game that is deeper than I think many people give it credit for.

Pokemon Sun is an absolutely well polished game and is a faithful installment to the new generation of Pokemon. It takes all of the elements that we love from the old games and puts a fun new spin on them. Pokemon get new forms, there's a new local and a new system that replaces the played out gyms system. If you like Pokemon but have been burned out on the series from the multiple similar installments, this is a good one to get back in on.

Overall this was a pretty charming, decent pokemon game. I've been playing since Red and Blue though so that's where I'm coming from when reviewing this game. The intro of the game is charming but the constant tutorials outstay their welcome imo. If it was all story I wouldn't mind. But 10 minute one sided dialogue exchanges about desert quickly get boring. Beware if you own any DS that is NOT a NEW 3DS or NEW 2dsXL, the loading times might get on your nerves especially during battles with many pokemon or very flashy moves. That being said, it's still a fun pokemon journey with interesting new monsters this 7th gen. Try it but do your research first so you know what you're getting into.

This is one of the best Pokémon games ever, new region and new AWESOME POKÉMON!

I've been enjoying playing Sun/Moon. Didn't grow up playing Pokemon as a kid so I don't have the same nostalgia googles some people seem to have for the series. I like that this one has nice 3D models but dislike that the 3DS doesn't offer 3D viewing. If you liked other recent Pokemon games you will likely like these.

Pokemon Sun and Moon doesn't have the usual 8 gyms and elite 4 battle at the end. It has "trials". I'm only through the first 2 so far, but it's a nice change of pace, though I would have been happy with the traditional format as well. I will say it's a bit on the easy side, I haven't come close to losing a battle yet. But there are a nice range of pokemon to catch and it's a very enjoyable experience going through the world.
