Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with Pokken Tournament's smooth and deep gameplay, finding it fun and easy to pick up and play. However, some feel the game is lacking in content, particularly citing a limited roster of characters and a weak story mode. The controls are generally praised as simple and intuitive.

As advertised, this a Pokemon fighting game similar to the fighting games you would find in an arcade. With a roster of around twenty characters, there is a fairly large learning curve in perfecting your ability to use them all effectively. Without putting in some effort you won't get the most you can out of it.

Pokken Tournament is a very fun fighting game the color full action and having the feel your in a Pokémon battle is close to what a lot of fans want for a MMO. It's straight forward and beginners will catch on quick but it has deep enough mechanics for pro players as well.

    Fun Fighting Game with Pokemon

Overall, Pokken Tournament is a fun game, if you're interested in fighting games with Pokemon. The difficulty is well-tailored for children, but takes a while to increase difficulty for the adults that are interested. The story is fairly minimalistic, but that's to be expected from this genre.

I've given just about everything pokemon a chance, but was a little hesitant about this game when it was coming out since it had tekken mechanics. I'm also not a good fighting game player. haha. I still took a chance since it was pokemon and I'm glad I did. Great game!

Easy to pick up and play but also has a very deep fighting mechanic. Single player can be finished super fast and easy. Online multiplayer is where it's at. Fast matchmaking and for the most part, great connections. You'll get the most fun when playing with others. Kind of lacking in single player mode.

Pokken Tournament is what many Pokemon fans have been wanting, a legit fighting game centered of Pokemon. Nintendo delivers, they do. The characters are unique enough to where you can't play all the characters the same way. It's a good start and all I'd primarily want from a sequel is a larger roster.

My son wanted this for Christmas, I didn't know anything about it & didn't read the reviews. He's 12 & this game was only one of the few things on his wish list, so I ordered it. He & his 2 brothers absolutely love it! This is great for any Pokémon fans!

We enjoy fighting games, and Pokken Tournament is enjoyable and has great graphics, but it is not as great as Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat. The controls are very different than the usual fighting game and take some getting used to but the characters are fun and it is a different experience.

This game is hella fun, everybody has always dreamed of being able to battle Pokémon through actual use instead of only just commands well that possibility just became a reality. Only down side is there is only a small set of Pokémon to choose from, a wider variation would attract more audience.

The boys play it often and love to pick the characters. Wish there were characters to choose from. The battle sequences are pretty good and it's easy enough for a 5 year old yet challenging enough to keep an 8 year old entertained. All in all, a good game for the renewed Pokemon craze.

Pokken comes from the makers of the legendary series Tekken and Pokken does not disappoint in the slightest. Pokken is a simple to learn fighting game that anyone can enjoy so make sure to pick up a copy if you own a Wii U. Beautiful graphics will surely awe you at the power of the Wii U.

I love fighting games, and thought I'd take a chance playing a Pokemon game, even though I'm not a Pokemon fan. I'm glad I took the risk - this game is a lot of fun! Easy to pick and deep enough for those who have been playing fighting games for years.

At first I was unimpressed with this game, but the more I played it the more it began to grow on me. The story is a bit of a grind, but I love being able to collect stuff for your trainer. This is a great game to play with friends, but if you are looking for a party game look elsewhere

My friend pick this game up and we both played it the same day he did. The game's aspects is totally different to your original Pokemon's RPGs. The game's mechanics are pretty smooth especially played with the Pro Pad exclusive game controller.
