Customers are impressed with Pokken Tournament's smooth and deep gameplay, finding it fun and easy to pick up and play. However, some feel the game is lacking in content, particularly citing a limited roster of characters and a weak story mode. The controls are generally praised as simple and intuitive.

The new game is a fresh start to a classic fan-favorite. However, the game feels limited in it's game-play. Hopefully future games have more of a free-form style, similar to smash bros.

This is a much better game than I thought it would be. It is very accessible to beginners. I think their are some balance issues in the gameplay, but hopefully they get cleared up with patches (like the shadow mewtwo infinite combo).

There's a decent roster of characters and thankfully they all play very differently so there are brutes, agile fighters, more technical types. It is still just a fighting game but overall one of the better ones to come out recently.

It's like playing Tekken with super smash control scheme. Easy to pick up but takes a bit to master it. Good fun by yourself or fighting others online / local. Online, very little issue with latency.

play the game for a couple of hours and I notice that there was only a limited amount of pokemon . the moves are over the top . when you first start the game you must create your own trainer and you must go through a tutorial

IF you are a huge fan of smash bros and pokken, this was meant for you. It plays very similar to Smash Bros, you can use all the Amiibos available for it and the online play is spot on quick.

I was really excited about this game but it gets old really fast. The story is bland. I felt like there was no challenge either. I beat everyone with Lucario pretty easily.

My kid really enjoys there and there is enough fun to be had just button mashing with how cool the visuals are that we're both having fun learning the layouts for what each character can do

This is a unique fighting game filled with Pokemon characters. The game is great for beginners and pro's alike. One of my favorite Wii U games that you really need to try to understand.

This game is the holy grail! I do wish you had to somehow catch different pokemon to train up and fight in the arena, but that's for the next one ;) My kids love playing this too haha.

Every Pokémon fan should own this game, and any fan of genre fighting games should buy it as well. The one downside is that the modes are some what lacking and that the possibility of no dlc is kinda worring.

This is a very fun game. It is a fighting game that is accessible to beginners and pokemon fans generally, but one that hardcore fighting game fans would enjoy playing as well.

This game does everything right in terms of bringing the pokemon and their movesets from the RPG's to life in real time battles. Theres a lengthy solo game, as well as local battle and online battles.

I do enjoy the game a lot but I had hoped that it would be a little bit more like Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Stadium 2 for N64. I expected it to also be a little RPG(ish) but it is not at all. Felt more like all the other action fighting games out there.. Also, I hope that they come out with more Pokemon that you can fight with because as of right now there is only 14 to choose from which might sound like a lot but again, if you originally started off playing Pokemon stadium to now play this and be restricted to only 14 that does have a big impact on expectation.

The game is good for fighting fans, but in my opinion the learning curve has limited its play in our house. The game sits on the shelf, coming up short for my 8y/o who was so excited for this game.

It is an excellent arcade port of Pokken Tournament with translation and lots of depth. A well addition to everybody who is a Pokémon fan that happens to own a Wii U.

This is something that the Wii U needed. something different and fun. I'm a bit disappointed about the amount of characters in the game but overall it's a great game.

Purchased for my 12 year old son. He loves it. Played for two hours the first day. He says it requires quick thinking and strategy and that's what he likes best.
