not many games to pick from especially pokemon, this game is a ton of fun

The fighting system is a strange combo of a 3D arena and classic 2D fighter. The controls are pretty easy to learn but hard to master. Roster is fairly limited. Local play is difficult because one person has to use the gamepad and the other has to use a pro controller/tv.

This game accomplished something we all dreamed of when we played Pokemon, which is having control of the actual battles. From the people who brought us tekken this game is easy to pick up and play, but takes time and practice to master.

This is a game for any who like tekken and/or pokemon. Its a must have for pokemon fans out there. Its something that has great controls and feel to it. I would rate this game a 10, if it just had more characters and customization.

Too bad it took so long for them to bring out a game like this to the Pokemon franchise. This game although feels a lot like a button masher is a load of fun and a blast to play with my 5 year old. The whole RPG platform of the Pokemon franchise gets old and repetitive so much so that I just can't sit still for it anymore. This gives me the best of both worlds though I get the pokemon I love mixed into a tekken/street fighter scenario with mega evolutions and it fills the void when pokemon go leaves me wanting more. It's just a win win. Unfortunately it seems to have come too late and just when the wii u has been killed off. A port to the Switch with more playable characters is so needed to keep this alive but in the meantime pick it up and enjoy!

This is a great fighting game. Love it so far. Highly recommend.

Awesome fight mechanics, solid online play, and LOTS to unlock.

Character pool is a bit shallow, but it's not that big of a deal. The game is really fun to play with friends, and the single player isn't bad. It's a lot easier to get a hang of compared to other games like Street Fighter since the combos aren't as complex.

Wasn´t expecting that this game would be so much fun to play.

Honestly thought this was going to be a mediocre attempt of a fighting game. Was completely wrong and happy for it. A lot of depth and skill required. The graphics are top notch and controlling the pokemon feels fantastic.

I was surprised at how much I enjoy this game. I was worried it would be too much like Tekken, which I do not like at all. Instead it is a solid fighter that has a lot of Pokémon flavor. Good controls , graphics and modes.

First off, I love the concept. The ability to finally battle as pokemon like this is insanely cool. I thought the roster could have been a bit bigger, but for the first game of this concept, I like it. There are some classics and some newer ones and they really have good variety on display, as opposed to all being fighting types. My problems come with the phase shifting and combo systems. These were a little hard to fully work with at first, but with a little time and effort, I imagine someone far better at fighting games than me can excel at them. I think being able to shift from a 2d fighter to an arena fight almost at will is cool, I just cant work with it very well. It is also a blast seeing all of these moves in full 3d with beautiful animations. I do recommend it and surely hope it gets a sequel.

This is a really fun game if you are into games like Tekken, Soul Calibur etc. It plays like an arcade fighting game and it's pretty challenging. The story mode is a little boring but the daily challenges are fun.

My daughter loves this game, I played it with her and had a great time.

If you like pokemon and fighting games get this game

The game is mostly full of positives with the only negative aspect is the lack of more characters. The fact that is has deep mechanics invested is not a problem at all and is actually greatly appreciated. Hope to see more games like this.
