    My son loves everything Pokémon, collects the cards and plays all the games. I thought this would be a no brainer and that he would love it, but the game doesn't seem to keep his interest. He only plays it once in a while and he looses interest quickly and goes on to other things. Maybe as he gets farther in the game, he'll stay more engaged but it's not happening now.

    This is truly a Pokemon/Tekken mash-up. Not only in a "Pokemon-beat-each-other-up" sense, but in how the game progresses. You gotta win and level up a single Pokemon to survive the major leagues. The fighting is split up between Naruto-style arena brawls, and Street Fighter-style 2D duels. There is no split-screen, so home two player action requires the Wii U GamePad.
