Hello Eve and Hello Pikachu are remakes of an old game called Pokemon Yellow which was released in the late 90s. This time, however, the developer Gamefreak decided to change the formula of the game as it takes many gameplay aspects of the famous mobile game for smartphones called POKEMON GO. Even though many die hard fans of Pokemon were angry with the changes they made (you don't battle wild Pokemon, but only trainers), when the game came out and people started to play it, it became obvious the changes were a good choice. This is the perfect 1st Pokemon game to initiate yourself on the franchise. Try it and remember to not leave your social life.

I bought this for multiple people because its so good. Its a must play switch game and you wont regret it. Perfect blend of new technology and nostalgia. I cant wait to catch them all.

Whither you get Eevee or Pikachu from the let's go series, both will take you back to the first generation games of pokemon red and blue. This updated version follows the same story line as the first generation games of pokemon red and blue, but puts you in the shoes of a different trainer. The updated graphics and somewhat different story line makes the game interesting and fun as you travel the Kato region with Eevee, and capturing new pokemon to add to your team. Even if you have played every pokemon series, this is somewhat different and will bring back alot of good memories. If you are new to the series however, this is a pretty good starting point. Either way, it's definitely a fun game that you will enjoy and get your moneys worth out of. I would recommend checking out a review on YouTube to see gameplay and if it's for you or not if you are uncertain. Definitely a good game though and I do recommend it. Happy adventuring!

I grew up playing pokémon on the gameboy back in the day when the graphics were 2D & pikachu was fat. I absolutely fell in love with this game on the switch because it made me feel like a kid again. I love that you’re able to ride on your pokémon around the city. This game brings the nostalgic feel of pokémon red, blue & yellow but it’s updates make it even more epic. I struggled to choose between let’s go pikachu & let’s go eevee, but overall i’m happy w my choice! if you’re thinking of getting this game, i highly recommend! it’s everything you would want to feel like a real pokémon trainer traveling around kanto w/ your buddy pokemon!

I actually bought both this version and the Pikachu version, but only because I didn't realize that the Pikachu version didn't have my favorite Pokemon in it- Bellsprout. Shut up, it's cute. Either way, this is like if Pokemon Go was made into a full console release. I have no problem with that and enjoyed it for what it was, but the idea of catching *literally every single Pokemon* is sort of weird to me. I would normally catch one Bellsprout and be done with it, but now you have to catch a million of them to make sure you get one with greats stats- or maybe even a shiny one. You also only get to battle other trainers, not other wild Pokemon. It's different. Some people hate it, some people like it, I'm a bit ambivalent to it. I liked the game and would recommend it if you have a Switch. You have to use Joy-cons to play the game, so if yours are suffering from drift or if you prefer the pro-controller you're out of luck.

I bought this game as a Christmas present for my 11 year old niece, who is obsessed with Pokemon. She loved it and started playing right away on Christmas Morning! The only down side is I had to pay full retail price for it. A little too steep for my taste, but well worth it if she is entertained.

Very fun! Kid friendly game, my kids picked up on it fairly easily. Graphics are appealing. Just wish you could battle with Pokémon that you encounter instead of only catching them with poke balls. Still a fun game for young Pokémon fans

Fun game! Very nostalgic if you played the original Blue/Red/Yellow version of the game. Its a little changed and patterns over the new Pokemon Let's Go.

Being from the OG era of pokemon, before getting into the new sword/shield ones, i wanted to try out the lets go version. I chose the eevee version as i read that you can easily catch a pikachu anyways, and i ended up catching one as one of the first 10 pokemon i caught - so that's cool. Game play is similar to the original pokemon except you cant battle pokemon you encounter, you have to catch them for XP instead. The loading time whenever you go into a building/back out is a little too long, kind of making it look like the game froze. Besides that, i am really happy with this purchase.

As someone who grew up with Pokémon Yellow on the Gameboy, I'm pretty nostalgic about the gameplay mechanics, and the switch to half regular Pokemon/half Pokémon Go was initially not a great impression. It felt too easy and like some of the strategy was stripped from it. However, after playing for a while, I actually found myself really enjoying the two separate mechanics. They are a strategy in themselves and it breaks up the game and makes it feel less repetitive. The game also got more challenging as it went on. If you can catch it on sale, I'd definitely recommend giving it a go.

Super fun game! Simple controls and nice graphics, though maybe a bit too easy. I like that it’s similar to Pokémon GO!

Evee, Pikachu!! LOVE that we can transfer Pokémon between the game and my Pokemon Go. Easy to play! Love the game - characters are great, color fantastic.

Pokemon let's go is brand new game for the Nintendo Switch. It's mostly taken from Pokemon Yellow that appeared on the Gameboy. The update on the switch looks amazing. The gameplay I'd say is a bit wonky with the controller, while also lacking the ability to use the pro controller, but after a while you do get use to the mechanics. The game is absolutely fun, there isn't a big competitive scene for it, but if you do plan on playing online you'll Nintendo online. Overall, I'd recommend it for some casual fun while battling online or trading with friends.

This game has a tie-in with Pokemon Go, as you can transfer a Pokemon in order get a mystery box which lets you try to capture several Meltans in the wild for 30 min when activated in the wild. One thiing we didn't realize until after we bought it was that we needed to play about 3/4 for the game before we reach a place where we could trade. This took a while, but my kid was MORE than happy to play the game on the Switch until that stage was reached. If you are buying this just to get the Meltans for Pokemon Go, just be aware that you can't do it right away.

The game is okay. It is basically a remake from Pokemon yellow version. I am currently about to fight the last gym leader. I just wish the game had an option to turn on wild battles and to turn off the experience gain for my team. I know I am nagging abit, but when every Pokemon is at the same level it makes the game be on super easy mode. When I played Pokemon yellow a long time ago, my team was different levels. Lol. Usually for me the lowest Pokemon was the one I had to count on for my league battles. It was a little stressful/exhilarating, but when I won the battle it felt like I overcame a mountain. It is a little strange that my rival gives me items to help me. :/ But overall don't let this old timer ruin your fun. The game is a good game especially if you played Pokemon Go one your phone. I didn't really play it, but I may play it to see the different ways the Pokemon follow behind me.

Pokemon Go, both Eevee and Pikachu edition, take the world from the first series of Pokemon Game boy games, update the graphics, and replace the repetitive wild Pokemon battles with the refined Pokemon Go mobile game controls. This gives a breath of fresh air to a beloved classic game while adding a layer of complexity and depth that the Pokemon Go mobile game lacked. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed Pokemon Red, Blue, or Yellow for a blast from the past and to the Go fan-base who always hoped for more game-play than the app could offer.

This is a great remake of the original game. My 5 year old son is reliving my childhood memories in this game. It’s not just a rehashed copy of the old game; there are a ton of extra side quests and the wild world portion of it keeps this game from being boring. The introduction of the second player being able to play cooperatively (through the support trainer) adds a new twist and I love that I’m able to play along with my son. The addition of Pokemon Go integration adds an entirely new dynamic as well.

Mostly nostalgia bait yea, but the game is surprisingly solid. I love the graphic style, and moving around the world feels better than it has in any Pokemon game before. The new catching mechanic takes some getting used to, but once you adjust it's a lot of fun.

Fun game! Especially for someone new to Pokemon. Did have some issues at the store but it was eventually resolved.
