When the game first got introduced I was sure it would suck. After watching people play and the awesome graphics I gave it a try. I’m so glad I did and was proven wrong about the game. It’s just a fun Pokémon game, fun for everyone.

A great return to an old classic. It does take a while to get used to the changes. Namely the catching and experience systems are vastly different. Its an adjustment but the game is very fun.

This game hits the nostalgia buttons for me but adds new story segments and paths as you traverse Kanto in a beautiful HD look! There's callbacks to the original RBY and the anime for the fans of who started out in that generation so be on the lookout! Eevee is just teeth-rotting cute, it should be crime! Even though it has the Pokemon GO mechanics of flinging the Pokeball with motion controls, you don't really need to use them. I play the game in Handheld Mode and for me, it's better and still captures the portability Pokemon maintained throughout the 20 years. This is definitely an awesome game for those who want to get into the series and those who got into the series back then! Would most definitely recommend for upcoming Pokemon Masters!

I remember when I first got my Pokémon yellow version and it was so cool being able to run around with my pickachu next to me. Now you can do that with any Pokémon you want. Similar story like to yellow version.

Fun game - endgame is lacking

The game is a lot of fun, but once you beat the elite four there isn't much worthwhile to do. It took me about 20 hours to beat and I'm done by now. It's missing some comforts related to levelling up pokemon without evolving. The engame pokemon master trainers are a joke, all you get from beating them is a title and nothing else - no items, no exp, no nothing.

Pokemon, if you don't play it what else are you doing? Wasting time I guess... much better to spend your time in Kanto. Also, Eevee rides on your head which is cute

    worth the buy!

The graphics are better than any of the previous Pokemon games, very nostalgic and fun to play! However, in this game you can no longer battle wild pokemon (with a few exceptions) and instead you must capture them to gain experience and progress in the game However, you can still battle trainers you find along the way, as well as challenge Team Rocket, gym leaders, and finally the Elite 4 (just like in the original game) The most exciting new feature to me is the ability to ride on or walk alongside your pokemon (like in HeartGold/SoulSilver but now you can mount certain pokemon too) Overall, I'd say this game is worth the buy and definitely recommend to anyone who is a fan of the series, especially of the 1st gen games.

I never in my wildest reams ever thought I would play one of these games. I had avoided them like the plague. On the request of my daughter I picked it up, and have had a really good time playing it. I would have given it a tad higher if only the the throw mechanic wasn't so spotty. It's cute, colorful, and as with all video games should be... Fun.

Like many, I was skeptical about this entry in the series due to fears that it would be too simplified. However this game has thoroughly impressed me and made some changes I hope carry over to Generation 8!

I wasn't going to buy this because we have let's go Pikachu. Apparently there are completely different characters in this game. So, if you have a Pokemon fanatic on you hands, they will love this game!

Haven’t played Pokémon in years. This game is a great game for the Switch. I feel like eevee is truly a powerful Pokémon in this game. Two player mode might be boring for the second player since their character does not interact/activate wild Pokémon nor the other characters. The second player only walks around, catches and battles. My little cousins argued a bit who would be the first and second player as they would disagree at times which Pokémon to catch (the first player basically decides what Pokémon to catch and who to battle). But over all, for me on my account, I enjoyed this video game for being simple but yet fun. Encountered a few shinies. I haven’t played it on the go yet nor have I completed it.

The game of course is not for serious gamers. But, for the next generation like my nephew he loved playing this game. The interaction with his partner Pokemon and how easy it was to advance with help. ;)

She's played the demo, and guess what is coming for Christmas? It's a fun game that shouldn't really test her more than she can handle. That's a plus... challenge, but don't overwhelm.

If you’ve played the very first gen of Pokémon and also the app Pokémon Go, than this is the “fusion” of the two plus you can connect your Go account to this as well.

Interesting take on a remake of Pokemon Yellow. Does a good job of combining the elements of Pokemon Go with the traditional RPG style of the traditional Pokemon games. My kids love it as well.

This game is not very challenging for people who have played pokemon before but it's probably the best entry in the series for little kids as there's almost no challenge for most of it.
