I've been playing pokemon since the beginning. A lot of the new generations of games were very similar to the original game with small updates and added features that were rarely needed to beat the main story. Sun and Moon attempt to turn this on its head. They adjusted how the game play worked just enough that it felt brand new yet was still similar enough that it felt like a Pokemon game at its core. Between that and the story/visuals this is a must buy for Pokemon fans and 3DS owners alike.

This game expands on the Pokemon Universe and it exceeded my expectations for the game. It has solid gameplay like all Pokemon games do., And it's easy to jump into for new and old players alike.

I love pokemon games and this is no exception. The only thing i did not like is the fact that they took out super training from gen 6 and replaced it with 'hyper training' which in my opinion is useless. Another thing I wish they did (spoiler allert) was two things:
easier way to get evolution items
type:null could be breedable.

My kids loved this game. They would play it for a long time, and it kept them entertained during long car rides. Another great addition to the Pokémon series.

Pokemon moon is more than just another pokemon game, it is an evolution of the experience you grew up loving as a child. As someone who has played thousands of hours of pokemon throughout his life time, I can comfortably say this is among my top 3 of pokemon games all time. Only Red/Blue and Diamond would come before Moon.
What seperates this generation from others is the dedication to change. The changes seem simple, yet drastically affect the gameplay and make the story something that is actually engaging. In most other pokemon games, beating the Justice league is just the beginning, the story beforehand is an after thought. That is not the case in Moon. The story and events leading up to the Pokemon League feel like an actual story. There is emotion, humor, and an actual reason to care about the characters. It is a grown up Pokemon in a child's world.
The battle system has seen litte change. The biggest addition is that of the z crystals which act like the mega evolutions in prior versions, but only for one move. Pokemons also have the SOS ability now, which can allow wild Pokemon to drastically prolong an encounter and increase your chance of finding a shiny. And lasty, the starters feel more balanced than in other generations. Each feels useful, but not overpowering.
Take the time and give Moon a few hours of your life. It'll end up taking far more afterwards.
Easily my favorite game of 2016. 5/5 overall.

Fair warning, the beginning of the game is very slow in terms of tutorials and stuff, but once you get into the Trails, the game is amazingly fun! I'm about halfway through the game and having an absolute blast! The characters are fun, the Pokemon are neat, and the story is REALLY good! I highly recommend picking one or both Sun and Moon up!

As someone who's been skeptical of new Pokemon releases (I've really only played the first and second generations to completion; skipped the third and fifth, gave up on the fourth and sixth), I have to admit that this game blew me away. There's just so much to DO, and the way all of the challenges are presented makes every new locale interesting in a way that Pokemon games rarely do. It's pretty, it's fun to to play, and it'll never feel tedious or boring. Moreover, Nintendo has pulled back from previous series conventions that hindered gameplay. For example, they've done away with HMs in favor of "calling" a specific Pokemon from outside of your party to do whatever it is you need, meaning your moveset and team aren't hindered by your need to get around. Also, key things such as access to breeding, move deletion, Fly/Surf, name rating and trading are available very early on, making the game less of a slog as you work toward the team you really want.
My only gripe is that multiple mainstays don't appear to be in the game at all, even by trade, though I've been told they'll be available from past games once the Pokemon Bank opens up. Still, it's a little disappointing to not be able to get many originals by simply playing the game.

I love Pokemon Moon! The next game in the pokemon series does not disappoint. There are awesome new pokemon and old favorites as well. They switched up the formula getting rid of gym battles and it is also fun to go to new islands instead of exploring one large continent. Everyone who even remotely likes pokemon should get this game!

Wow, they've made great improvements with the newest generation. With new Pokemon forms, increased graphics and story, and a whole new region full of secrets, you can't go wrong with this. Whether you've been a fan from the beginning, or this is your first one, this game was a pleasure throughout.
