Bought this for a gift for my husband and he was able to set it up quickly and downloaded the free app for the heart rate monitor and was up an on the treadmill in no time. The only thing we are still tweaking is perhaps the GPS on the unit. It seemed to have stopped during a walk but then started back up again? But that could have been some other fluke with the iPhone. But it works great and hubby loves using it.

Works great and links automatically with all equipment I've used it with. Treadmills, elliptical machines and my Digifit iPhone app. The bluetooth connection has worked without fail, automatically linking with my iPhone on each use. With the Digifit app I'm able to track and record progress from workout to workout. The Polar H7 is a great investment!

Works great, easy to use. Only gave 4 out of 5 stars because this is my 3d one & I've never had 1 last over 2 years. Luckily I had warranty through best buy & they swaped it out for me after 1.5 yrs of use. I do use it 5+ times a week so it gets a lot of use.

I am using the Polar H7 with my iPhone 5 and Adidas MiCoach app. Pairing to the phone was simple. Bluetooth range is decent. I had a friend walk away about 10-12 ft with the phone with no loss of connection. I did experience some interference during a spin class though. The person 2 bikes away had a HR monitor, as well, that made my connection go in and out. Heart rate reading accuracy is just about the same as any HR monitor - roughly plus or minus 10 BPM. Polar could have provided a better strap. The unit itself snaps on to the strap and protrudes out farther than most othe monitors I've tried. The strap did not cause chafing but it did tend to slip a little bit. If you sweat heavily like me, this could be a problem. I like the fact that you can change the battery on your own unlike other Polar models that you have to send back to them for battery replacement. Overall I am happy with this product. I like the fact the it works flawlessly with my phone and at least two exercise apps (Adidas MiCoach and Run Keeper). It's a little bit pricey but it gets the job done.

This hr monitor does what its suppose to do but bluetooth connection cuts in and out from time to time and the polar app can use some work.

I have had Polar products in the past and always had good experience with them. So I fully expected this Polar heart monitor to perform well. I am completely satisfied with this monitor and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for an easy to use chest heart monitor.

Previously had an HR monitor-not Bluetooth. Worked very well, but with updates to the app I use I had to switch to a newer one. This is perfect and more comfortable than the previous one I used. Strap is soft & monitor snaps on/off easily-great feature. I have already recommended it to others.

I paired with Map My Fitness on my Galaxy S7 Edge, and it has never failed me. I've been running with it for 3 months now (I'm not super high mileage, but about 24 hours so far), and hasn't had any problems staying connected and the battery is still going strong.

Take some time to connect to phone. Won't stay connected 20% of the time. Work better than watch heart rate monitor.

Compared to the $20 bands that I used to be able to buy this one is a little pricey. The upside is that it connects to everything- polar loop, phone, elliptical, etc... It makes my Polar Loop much more accurate for tracking calories burned and activity level.
