GPS for outdoor running and cycling is accurate. Bluetooth works well. Polar Beat, Polar Flow, and Polar Web add to the watch and make it easy to see trends, data, etc. It can be a bit confusing at first setting everything up and understand how it all works together. But there's a lot of extra features so it's understandable. My last Polar lasted me 10years. Hope this can do the same.

This product is awesome for what I use it for. The app is ok, but the other function on the watch are awesome. I bought it with the heart strap. The heart strap is comfortable to my standards. Compare to the wrist heart monitor, the H7 is more accurate. The watches with the built-in heart monitor are accurate after you have worked out or ran a few miles. The H7 on certain elliptical or treadmill machine will read the H7 heart monitor and display your heart rate on the machine. As I do cardio, I like to keep my heart rate at the workout rage where it burns the most calories. It is a great product for the price. It is water resistance not waterproof unlike its little brother A300. It can connect to your phone to notify you when there is an e-mail or a text. It all depends on what you are using it for. If it for running, I would say yes come and get it. cardio, CrossFit, body pump to view your heart rate to get the most calories burn. come down and get. If you like to cycle, it has the function as well. It will clock your speed, distance, heartrate and once connect to your phone or computer. It will show you your stats, the route you took. You can also do challenges that are on the polar site and sync it to your watch. It is a great item for me. It works great for what I use it for. I would offer this to my friends, family and strangers. Again, it depends on what type of activity you do. You may not need all the functions. You can find a model below it that fit your needs which is cheaper. It all depends on what you do. Happy exercising.

Did a lot of research before purchasing this product & it hasn't let me down! Heart rate seems accurate, easy to use, long lasting battery life. Alerts me when you're still for to long & you can control the tone. I only negative & its not really a negative was trying to figure out how to sync, took a little head scratching, have to download to your computer & iPad then you're good to go. Oh & its waterproof!

Tracks daily movement with extra advantage of capturing GPS/HR fitness workouts beyond cardio including strength training and yoga. Connects to Polar Flow website and mobile app which are very nice graphical summaries of your daily goals and progress. I bought it as a weight loss companion and have been pleasantly surprised how easy to use, and customizable the workout displays are. You can create a dashboard of conceivably any data you want to look at while working out. So far I have found it very easy to connect to some of my preferred 3rd party apps like myfitnesspal and training peaks. Finally a device that uses a common usb cord (Kindle/Galaxy micro usb) for syncing and charging (does sync to mobile via bluetooth as well). My only complaint is that it does not yet have tools to track treadmill distance - accelerometer doesn't track distance and currently it doesn't seem to support a footpod. I love Garmin products as well, but the Bluetooth connectivity of the Heart Rate monitor by Polar seems to be more universally compatible with the fitness machines I encounter traveling at hotels around the US which is nice. I did have an initial support issue with the HR strap and will say Polar rectified it immediately which was nice. Some final comments on the GPS, GPS accuracy seems to mirror my Garmin Forerunner. Though my workouts tend to be in open sky areas, of the few times I have tried it in a downtown big building environment or dense forest canopy I did have one workout that reported some erroneous distance and mapping, most are fine though.

I love that it doesn't use a watch battery, but instead charges with a USB cable. It tracks the route that I walk very precisely on the map. Shows not only how many calories I've burned, but what percentage of those calories were body fat. Seems to track my steps and my sleep pretty accurately as well. Its numerous features are very customizeable. It is rather bulky for a woman to wear. Sometimes has trouble uploading my workouts to the web and requires multiple attempts. I wish that it had the option of vibration for alerts because I sometimes don't hear them. Overall, I like it very much, wear it constantly, and find the information it tracks very accurate and useful.

I was looking for a sports watch with GPS, looked at the Garmin site and they were good but pricy and had a lot of functions that I don't really need or want and the ones with a reasonable price lacked the things I fund on this watch. I just love that it keeps track of my activity the whole day even when i sleep without having to put it on sleep mode, also some how it knows the difference when am sitting down or lying down and the difference between laying down and sleeping. So far no problems with the connection to the phone or synching with the, in my case Mac. It takes like 10 seconds to find GPS and once it funded it has never dropped (so far). I tried with my bike and the reading is almost as accurate as my old fashion wireless cat eye bike computer. I do wish it had a color LCD display and an icon for the battery percentage, it only has a battery icon so I have to guess and charge it when I see that it's almost empty ( the icon) aparently it would tell you if the battery is too low for the watch to be used in a work out, that has not happened to me because I try to charged as soon as I see that little icon getting too low. I usually use it on watch mode 5 days with its nights plus 3 to 4 hours on GPS mode without the need of charging so I think the battery life is quite good, I think overal is a good GPS watch for novices like me that only need to know their work out data, if you are looking for something that would tell you what your smartphone is already telling you then this is not for you. I would say check out the polar web site, get all the info you want and then buy it at Best Buy, is cheaper plus you get reward points.

I love this polar product. I've owned several watches FT80, FT60 and now M400. This watch is an improvement over the previous watches i have used. Easy to use, accurate and even had a built in gps. This product can sync Wireless and monitors everything from steps, to sleep to work out calories burned. The only complaint is that the screen should be a sapphire crystal to prevent scratches if it's going to be a workout watch and an everyday wear watch.

I've been using this a little over a month now and am very pleased with it. I have been using Suunto watches to track heart rate and calories for my daily workouts but had been having a lot of issues with the chest strap not registering or losing connection in the middle of a workout. After reading lots of different reviews I chose this one and it did not disappoint. Great accuracy in recording daily steps and the heart rate during workouts is 100% on point. I had no idea it would link up to my phone and provide alerts so that has been an even better bonus. I would absolutely buy this watch again in a heartbeat :o)

Heart rate monitor works with or without M400. It can work with apps on your iPhone. Watch has user definable screens and target heart rate zones. Long lasting battery life due to only transmitting to iPhone for a Sync and not continually all day. You can set watch for several activities such as treadmill, elliptical, walking, running, hiking, etc indoor without GPS or outdoors with GPS.

I have tried and gone through several heart rate monitors in the last 4 years. In the end, none were reliable or useful. Now I have the M400 by Polar, and I am quite impressed with the watch. It appears to be more rugged than the others, and I really like the variety of information it gives about my various workouts. I like the lap timer feature, which is perfect for workouts where I do a set, then am supposed to rest for the same amount of time before doing the next set. It is great for bike riding. The very best feature in my opinion is that the display is large and bright. With past watches, whenever I pressed the backlight button, I still needed a light nearby to see what was on the display. Not so with this one. I can easily read the display under any lighting conditions. And when I press backlight, I am pleased to easily read the data with no effort. As a bonus, the watch doubles as an activity tracker. Highly recommended. Worth the price.

This is a replacement for BodyMedia device i had before. Since Jawbone bought them out, I have had nothing but problems getting any help or accessories for my "bugg". So I went on a hunt to find a device similar to what I had before. Lo and behold, I find this little gem. I am ABSOLUTELY satisfied with My Polar M400. I bought it with the HRM strap. Some are sold without the HRM, so if you are looking for both, make sure you chose the right one. It has everything I need in a tracker. I have not had any issues with glitches or anything of the sort. It was easy to set up and it has a free app that you can download and keep up with your progress ( I was paying $9/mo with my BodyMedia device). I would most definitely recommend this to anyone that is serious about tracking their calories burned and overall activies.

I was first interested in this watch because I wanted an activity tracker, but I wanted the look an feel of an actual watch without wearing multiple devices. The many different sport profiles and GPS features are an added bonus for me. I do a wide variety of activities from running, cycling, weight lifting, and different sports, and this watch can track them all and I can track my heart rate. Negatives: -The sleep tracking data is pretty much useless. -Like many others have said syncing data over Bluetooth never works. And Bluetooth smart notifications are spotty at best. TL;DR This watch may not be the best at any single thing it does, but it does offer a wide variety of good features at a reasonable price.

This watch does it all: counts steps, tracks activities, has GPS, and even tracks your sleep cycle. You can individualize what is being monitored when you are active and how it will appear on the screen. The heart rate monitor is a must for accurate calorie burn but not a necessary item. I bought this for my boyfriend and I have my own. Would definitely buy again!

I purchased this over a comparable Garmin Forerunner due to price and features. I've always liked Polar's HR monitoring and since this was coupled with the HR chest strap, I decided to pull the trigger to track my trail running sessions with GPS. While it isn't as flashy as a Garmin, I've enjoyed all of the functionality of this watch, the GPS has been very accurate and the iPhone app/Polar Flow Sync on the computer provides great feedback. I wish there were cadence capabilities without purchasing the stride sensor, but I haven't felt a real necessity to have it. I did run with a friend that has a Garmin (don't remember the model, but one of the latest) and feature for feature, it was the same. The GPS accuracy was the same and nearly everything identical. He spent $300 or more, while I only dropped $180.

High Accuracy Tracker, with Bonus Smartwatch

Make no mistake, some people are not interested in monitoring their workout intensity with this level of accuracy. For those who do however, it's everything you need. The chest strap is comfortable, easily adjustable and very lightweight. The watch itself is also a nice kit. It is easy to read and battery life so far has been convenient. Unless you are running a full day race, it is unlikely you could run it dry if you had no reminder to charge before starting. With my use notifications all the time, HR tracking every other day and GPS tracking 2 times a week, I've only charged it twice since I got it over a month ago. The app is good enough, very straightforward, and has no issues syncing so far (even when the watch claims to fail, it all get's transferred). The occasional freeze on my low-end phone is the only quibble. Where the device truly shines is the addition of smartwatch features. Want turn-by-turn on your bike ride while keeping your phone tucked away? Or notification of who is calling, etc? It's just enough to let you keep it tucked away without missing out on urgent alerts.

This is a great fitness HRM and for the price, it's hard to beat. Battery life lasts up to 2 weeks which is remarkable compared to similar products. Smart notifications, GPS, customizable data screens, sport profiles, and sleep and activity tracking work great and haven't had any problems from day 1. The app is very functional but the sleep data is not as robust as some others which is not a big deal for me. I wish there was a vibration function but this is also not a deal breaker considering the price. Overall happy with this purchase and love seeing software updates to further enhance the product.

This was is very easy to use, with information at your finger tips, I really like the information this watch provides such as heart rate, time, pace, and of course the mileage of your jogging or even walking activity. The computer polar flow app is very informative and I really like the way it shows every part of your activity with the performance that goes with every second of it. If you don't buy this watch it's your loss.

I originally purchased another fitness tracker with an optical heart rate monitor (on your wrist). After months of frustration due to inaccuracy, I came back to Polar. The M400 in my opinion is the best way to spend your money if you're looking into fitness trackers. This device does everything my previous tracker did only with much more accuracy in terms of how many calories I burn during a workout.
