Hi Shameeka, We're sorry to hear that. If photos are blurry, you may be holding the camera too close to what you are trying to photograph. The minimum focal range on this camera is about 1.5 feet. Make sure to also always use flash indoors. Please contact our customer service team at usa (at) polaroid (dot) com and we can help.

Used this camera for a project. The film was expensive and no matter what I tried to do all the images came out pretty dark unless I had a lot of light on the subject including the camera's flash. Ended up returning it and might go for the traditional old school ones that are sold instead of this one. Also I didn't care for having to use the app on my phone every time I needed to change certain settings.

Hi Bruce, I'm sorry to hear about your issues! Just so you know, you don't need to use the app at all with the camera if you'd rather not. The app just unlocks some extra features. You can use the camera as a standard point-and-shoot and adjust settings on the camera itself if that works better for you. If you have any questions at all, please let our customer service team know at usa (at) polaroid (dot) com and we can help.

Photos are not sharp. Colors appear washed out. Takes 15-30 minutes to “develop.” Returned it. Phone cameras are much, much better. Wait till they figure out how to print decent photos. Film costs about $1.50 to $2 per photo. Simple to use

    Nostalgic Camera with updated features

The Polaroid Now+ is a fun nostalgic camera with today’s features added. With that said if you love the classic look of Polaroid pictures this is a great camera to have around to play with. It adds a ton of modern features with the addition of the app that you can use to access these. Some of the features include Double exposure, light painting, manual mode, autofocus, self timer and it even has a tripod mount. The tripod mount comes in handy for getting those steady shots where you need to measure the correct light. The camera also comes with 5 different lenses to add effects to your picture and a lens cover that pack neatly into a tiny lens bag that is includes. These filters are fun to use and I’m glad they came with a bag to organize them in. The camera also comes with a strap that attaches to the back of the camera to help keep it secure while taking photos. The app is a huge upgrade as you can check all you settings of the camera on the fly. There’s only one thing about this camera that may be a negative for some is the cost of film. It’s pretty expensive in my opinion but if you live taking these types of pictures for special occasions or memories it’s worth it to have a unique keepsake.

    Nostalgia with Quality

So, us older folk. We know polaroid. It was the technology of our day, one of the first Instant Gratification devices i knew of! :D Back when we had to send off the film and wait days to see what we took a photo of. This device is that again, except with some intelligence via a smartphone app. The build quality is VERY GOOD. Nice seems and a choice of colors. Simplicity is the key with only a few buttons - Power, Flash, Picture. There is a small LED that indicates the remaining number of pictures in the case. Loading the film is simple, just insert and close the lid. There isn't any reinventing the wheel here. My camera did come with 5 lens caps(adds color to the picture), a Neck strap, USB cable to charge. Results were as expected - old school picture, exposure based on the environment around you and how you protect the film after ejection. But no SHAKE! LOL It just works and provides a nostalgic option. I did find the film to be quite expensive as you are limited to only 2 types of film and both being Polaroid branding. Type 600 and i-film. It was my daughter's birthday, so I gave it to her for her party. Thinking a bunch of 12-year-olds would have fun. I gave them 2 packs of photos to burn through. They took 5 pictures and there it sat. They thought it was neat but reverted back to their phones rather quickly in the ability to edit on the fly. Overall, a well-built device, does EXACTLY what you would expect it to do(minus the SHAKE IT LIKE A POLAROID PICTURE). Beyond the nostalgia and then the artistic photo it was a bit expensive and the film is a deterrent to use regularly. Will save for special events for that reminiscent effect and take home memory for my guests. I knocked back 1 star simply because it is an expensive item and film is as well. I think there may be cheaper options if you only want the instant and nostalgia.

Hi Q70t, when shooting indoors, we always recommend shooting with flash, and to make sure your subjects are about 3-4 feet from the camera for best results, with a background or wall behind them to bounce the flash back. When shooting outdoors, try without flash. Please contact our customer service team at usa (at) polaroid (dot) com and we can help.

This is a nice, fun old-style camera, with nice and convenient updates. I used to have one of these back in the day. The picture seems to take longer for the image to show up and picture size seems to be smaller compared to what I remember. The color and special effect lenses add a modern touch. The app is very convenient unlike other cameras in this category. Perfect gift for the 70's and 80's generation during this season as it brings back memories. It is rechargeable battery, easy to operate from the app it shows the number of remaining pictures and comes with a neck strap!

As a Polaroid camera, it does exactly what you would expect from a polaroid camera in terms of quality and usage. It does have 21st-century technology to go with it also, but it's not much. To me, using the buttons on the camera could be confusing at times. "How do I set a timer?" "How do I set double exposure?" And even though there is a paper guide you wouldn't want to haul it around with you. What makes this process simpler is the phone application because you can set your options and mode from there. Beyond that, the technology part ends there. At the very least it was instantly paired. I didn't have to touch my Bluetooth settings and I never lost connection. But if you ever memorize the buttons and corresponding light modes the app becomes pointless. I'm not sure what hardware limitations there are for Polaroid technology but I would love to see more functionality. How cool would it be to make the printing portion optional and you're suddenly able to take digital, uploadable shots all the time with this camera?! I'm sure and I'm hoping the polaroid team has more ideas for the future. The flash is necessary for photos and blinding. After your shot, you will see spots in your eyes ten minutes later. Without it, the pictures will come out unrecognizable and poor. Granted, I only took the photos inside my room next to a lamp yet it still struggled to pick up light. And the areas where the picture was lit up it was over-exposed. The quality just wasn't there. The quality of these photos is something you would expect from the 80s or earlier, which is disappointing coming from a modern take on this camera technology. I know Poloraid has made smaller versions of these cameras and I haven't tried them, but this one, in particular, is bulky. Overall, I think the best use case for this camera would be to take photos of a person or object outside. Lastly, the film is pricey. I did want to try all the filters included but when you think about it, it's essentially $2 per shot. And for me, to slap on any of the filters to see what it looks like is not worth $2. To wrap this all up you must think I hate this thing. I hate that it was not executed properly. I hate that it's expensive. The idea behind it is great. The first photo I took immediately took me back to my childhood. I immediately imagined it being the 90s again and my mom handing me all the photos we just developed. Except our point and shoot took better photos, was cheaper and the film was cheaper, by a factor of 10x cheaper. This camera has the power to create great experiences and unearth old ones, and it's almost there.

Hi Brandon, Thanks for your review! Just a note, when you are shooting indoors with flash, the camera's light meter will read specifically for the flash and not ambient lights like a lamp. For best results, try to also have your subject stand in front of a wall or backdrop to bounce the flash back to the camera, which will result in brighter photos. If you have any questions at all, please contact our customer service team at usa (at) polaroid (dot) com.

This is so cool! First off let me cover the unboxing. It was pretty straight forward you get the camera, a small cube style pouch with some filters that you can put on if you want, and a charging cable along with a pouch that has 16 total poloroid pictures you can take. And a black fabric string to keep the camera around your neck if you want. As far as buttons very easy to figure out, and adding the picture cartridge is pretty easy, I put it in the wrong way initially and it didn't close so i then put it correctly and it closed and spit out a cute message to let you know its ready to go. So... Tomorrow we go to Universal and we plan on using most of our pictures then but so far its so fun! Colors are awesome and the app is very intuitive and easy to understand. This is a great holiday gift for those that might not like technology or are afraid of it (like grandma/grandpa or parents) as it can be used with or without the app and is "old fashioned" but MUCH more improved and cooler then the really old fashioned versions. The pictures are incredibly clean and rich and so quick too! Love it very fun.

Review from my teenage daughter: It’s a very fun camera. The quality of the pictures seems to vary. They show up best when the pictures are taken close-up with the flash on. Otherwise, the lighting needs to be very bright for the best results. The pictures take a little while to show up, but it’s worth the wait. I think the picture quality is much better than it used to be. When you’re able to get a good picture, it shows up very smoothly. It’s really good for having instant physical memories and I’d really recommend it for teenagers/young adults. If you’re looking for a high quality photo, this wouldn’t be the best choice. But it’s very fun once you know how to take the picture.
