I like the design, it fits snug though I secured mine with zip ties to make it stays put. Other review mentions that the camera upon start up strikes the gimbal guard. Yes it does. Barely. And in my opinion does not impede the camera's start up procedure. It is designed to help protect your camera and gimbal from obstructions when you land or from landings that are not your best effort. To say it will protect in the event of a crash might be stretching it. It has flex due to its materials composition so in my opinion, there's too much flex to offer much protection in the event of an uncontrolled hard landing. It does what the manufacturer says it will. The oh so very slight rub when the camera goes through its start up gyrations I can live with as there is no impediment to camera movement when in flight.

Bought this for my Phantom 3 4K to protect the camera while gaining experience flying. Out of the box, it did not fit right away and I had to trim about 1/16" off one side to make it fit the landing gear of my P3 4K. Once in place, it is snug and does its job.

Excellent produyfor a great price and very lightweight to protect the gimbal from any damage when landing your drone. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to keep their from safe an din good working order.

Adds a small amount of gimbal protection from certain ground obstacles. Easy to instal and remove. I use it on the Phantom 3 Professional and the Phantom 3 4K. Simply swap to the one I am flying.

I HAVE FLOWN IT AT HOME AN TAKEN AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS OF NEIGHBORS HOMES, CARRIED IT TO THE BEACH, TAKEN PICTURES OF THE WHOLE CAMPGROUND AND THE OCEAN SURF. I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED THIS DRONE.

For the price it is not bad. Had to modify it a little to get it to fit.

item was on sale so i decided to pick one up for my P3P. Item would not fit until i had to shave it on one side. Overall item works well but not as good as others that are available

I was flying my Phantom 3 Pro to document roof damage after a wind storm. Got some great pix, but noticed that I was getting close to a tree line. I figured I'd better get above it quickly. Unfortunately, there was one twig sticking out that brought my drone crashing to the ground. I saw props, prop guards and gimbal guard flying in different directions. When I got closer, the camera had snapped off the gimbal and the part still attached to the bird was twitching like a dying cockroach on its back. So, don't count on this item to make your drone bounce proof, but I'm going to put it back when I repair them camera and gimbal..

I'm a big fan of Polar Pro accessories. Generally they have a good fit & finish and they seem to maintain a decent level of quality control while offering good prices. But I just couldn't make this part fit my Phantom 3 Pro. The slotted mounting surface fit only one side of the landing legs, so I had to return it to Best Buy. Ultimately I went with a different manufacturer for my gimbal guard. Kind of a disappointment.

This guard snaps right in and does a good job at protecting the camera during take off and landing but my camera barely touches it when I rotate it straight down.

The Polar pro gimbal guard fits on my phantom 3 drone and gives the gimbal protection if you have a not so good lamding. The price of the guard is a lot cheaper than the grimbAL. Good flying

I was too impressed with this plastic guard. It hindered the movement of the gimbal. Also it didn't protect as promised and after a crash my camera arm was bent. Replacing items after a crash gets expensive!!

This little gadget works well protecting the GDI gimbal. I am happy with the purchase especially for the price paid while on sale and free shipping.

Easy to install. Gives great stability. Would like to see the same product made using a Florescent color so it would add more visibility to the drone.
