I went into this hoping to find another Hong Kong story. This takes place on the mainland; while that isn't bad, it does lack that atmosphere the first few and New Police Story had. It's a little over the top with the drama, and Jackie is definitely getting up there age-wise, but it was still entertaining. I'd compare this favorably to the most recent Rocky movie with the whole young vs. old fight present in this.

If you love jackie chan this the movie for you its part of a series.

Action is there but not as much or as deep as his older films or other police story movies, then again his older now. Story is not as deep and much simpler then his other movies but its a great and enjoyable film to watch.

Jackie Chan is always fun to watch, however the entire movie is subtitled. Very hard to concentrate on the scenes when trying to keep up with the words. Overall it's a decent movie just wish it was dubbed over to English.

dont get me wrong, when i think about jackie chan, i think all out action. but this was a definite change for me as it delved more into the storytelling than action. but what a griping movie it was

Not your usual Jackie Chan movie. A lot more serious than his previous movies, pretty good plot twists, very realistic fight sequences. Really like Jackie in this role. Highly recommend.

If you are expecting the kind of Jackie Chan film you're used to, this one is not for you. This is a more somber, mature (and older) Jackie Chan. This film is not perfect by any stretch, but provides more of a character study than an all-out action film with zany stunts we're so used to seeing from Chan. It also has little to do with the other POLICE STORY films. But this one is still worth seeing.

I have seen the original movie with Jackie and this was very different. I was not expecting this. Most movies always try a redo, and fail this was completely the opposite.

Rented this previously and thought it a bit slow in the beginning. Once I gave it time, the payoff was worth it. Always love me some Jackie Chan, no matter what the film!

This is not the typical action Jackie Chan type movie. More for the story, and the story is just okay. If you were expecting martial arts action and stunts, you will be disappointed. Of course, he is getting old to do the type of stunts he used to do.

Great that this movie was dubbed in english. Jackie Chan was great as he always is. That means he misbehaved a lot and of course a great shooter.

It's another great Jackie Chan movie. It's another great movie for one of the masters of China cinema. Lots of action. Excellent movie.

I love Jackie Chan movies and he hasn't been in many main stream movies recently. I wasn't disappointed and would recommend the movie.

This isn't the Jackie Chan you remember from years ago. After all those insane stunts, he's lucky to be able to walk, let alone move as well as he still does. Anyway, the story is just average, and Jackie can no longer save average scripts. Mildly recommended since the price won't leave you with much buyer's remorse.

Jackie Chan is continuing to explore more and more serious films and quite frankly if this is long time coming he is done I am on a wonderful job with this film and those similar to it I have been Watching him act since he was an early boy.. at this point I thoroughly enjoyed this movie over the more comedic type of films that is done in the Past. Kudos to jackie chan. In the entertainment world he is smiply the best.

I have to admit that I haven't seen the previous movies in this series. But this movie had a decent plot and a lot of action.

movie is great specially J.Chan is on it. Good plot. Kind of slow phase for a drama/action movie. I life the fight scene.

This movie has a darker tone than the usual comedic roles we usually see Chan in. He proves again why he is a star.

It was a decent movie. There was not as much action as I would have thought. The English dub was also pretty good

Jackie Chan returns to form in a continuation of the Police Story series. While his age does start to show and he naturally cant do all the crazy stunts we are used to seeing, this doesnt stop the action from being as competent as ever when it does come around. Definitely worth checking out.
