I have this subwoofer currently with Polk TSI200's, a CS10 (i think) center and soon to have T15's for the rear. What I like most about this subwoofer is how it can literally be hooked to ANY system - be it home theater, a bookshelf stereo, or added to a computer speaker setup with a headphone splitter. This thing has a line in input (easy to work with if you have a RCA to 3.5mm" cable), it also has something I had not seen before.. a speaker in speaker out for left and right channel. If you have an ancient classic receiver you can still have a sub in the mix by routing your speakers through the heavy gauge speaker inputs. See attached photo if needed* Sound: It has boom, it is smooth, I havent heard it strain even listening to Dubstep or HipHop music. For movies it can provide a great thunder effect and has a good boom in movies. The cross over knob on the back and volume knob is awesome too for receivers with limited adjustment options. This thing is HUGE, everyone who I have shown so far has been amazing at how large it is.. it would make a great ottoman if it had a pillow top. Make sure you have room for it before buying. It has auto on, so it doesnt waste much power when not in use by detecting when a signal is present and active. Overall, it blends very well with the TSI200's and is capable of overpowering them if turned up high.

I originally picked up the psw111 same amp but with an 8" sub. I then saw the psw125 went on sale so I exchanged it. The psw111 was more attractive and had good sound but it was limited. I immediately heard a difference when I plugged in the psw125 12". The bigger sub really makes a difference. The psw125 takes up twice the space but when I heard it I was sure that it was the one for me. The sound was thick I watched The Avengers it made my home shake throughout. It makes my music sound great and it cost $7 less than the psw111 even after a price match. I paid $285 out the door for the psw125.

This sub runs on Sony A/V with 5 6" Polk & 2 8" Polk mounted in ceiling. Excellent sound!!!!!!!!!

This is my second Polk sub for my home theater system, the first being a smaller size with considerably less wattage. So far this has out preformed my previous one and has left me extremely impressed with its capabilities, especially considering the price. It's ability to make a person experience the deepest of explosions or the crispness of a live performance leaves me, so far, loving it and recommending it to anyone looking to purchase a sub for their own home theater system.

I've gotten some really awesome bass from this large sub. Fortunately, I had the perfect location for it. Matched with my Yamaha receiver and Polk surround speaker system, the whole house is a theater.

This was a replacement for an older Polk sub of the same model. The old subwoofer had taken a beating externally. This was offered at a price I could not pass up. Some may notice that I have another review on here for a Klipsch sub. Just a note that I have multiple set ups in my home.

Bought this sub to add to surround system. I was not disappointed, has great deep bass that was exactly what I was looking for. Well worth the price

This unit provides clear bass tones, outstanding!!

I have owned this sub for a couple months now. This is a "polite", "mature", and clean sounding sub - its sound is not too overwhelming and overly aggressive with boominess and volume like many other subs out there. It's great for music like classical, jazz, rock, etc. - anything with real instruments. I have compared this sub side-by-side with many others and this sub was my choice, even though it did not have as much power or volume as the others. Don't get me wrong, this sub has PLENTY of power (do not be fooled by the "150 watts" RMS) and I have this sub in a very large room and it can certainly shake the room. I wish it had the ability to go a little lower with its frequency range and I wish the built-in crossover would do a little better job at cutting out the "mid" sounding frequencies when the crossover is set at its lowest setting, but, it's really not a big issue at all and nothing to be too concerned about for most people. I am very happy with this sub, overall. Music was my primary concern and that is why I chose this sub, but, if your primary concern is movies and you are only concerned with having as much power, volume, and boom as possible, you should probably get something else - like a Klipsch. Don't get me wrong though - this thing can perform quite well with movies. So, for a sub only to be used for music, I would give it an overall 5 star rating but if you are ALSO going to use it for movies, I would give it an overall 4 star rating. Comes with a pretty good warranty as well.

Purchased this subwoofer PSW125 on 10/3/13 and was excited to get it home and unbox it. However, as soon as I began to hook it up, I immediately noticed that there was no LFE line in port on the back of the subwoofer. The specs on the website indicate that there is an LFE LINE IN but there isn't. Looks like a great subwoofer and the reviews seem to support this but I really wanted one with the LFE line in feature. So be careful about purchasing this one if that is something you want.
