While historically inaccurate, this was a decently-made romance with a fair amount of action for men who get forced into watching this with their wives.

This is a must see movie especially for those who like gladiator fighting. There's lots of action and sword fighting which is awesome to watch in 3D Blu-ray which helps the movie be all that more interesting, it also adds to the volcano eruption. Make some popcorn and enjoy.

this was an interesting way to learn about a time in history even though I'm a fan of Kiefer Sutherland didn't like the way he played his part in this movie

I had high hopes for this film as I am a fan of the genre, however, I thought the story was too generic and the special effects got in the way instead of complimenting the action. Pompeii had an okay cast that all pretty much played their parts well, though no one really stood out as an amazing character. It was a typical good guy has to overcome his circumstances and a ruthless villain to save the day and his true love kind of movie, but was still entertaining and worth the watch.

It was a good movie, if it was a little longer i think we would of seen the characters developed and that would of grab more of the audience, kinda like titanic .

This is an awesome movie!!! I wanted to see it in theaters but i never got the chance. I bought the 2D version of this and the picture is amazing!!! Bright colors....great CGI and a great cast. Not sure of the actor's name, but he does an great job playing Milo (the main character). This is definitely a must have in your movie collection...you won't be disappointed.

I personally loved this movie. I went to see it when it came out in theaters, and couldn't help but laugh at people's reactions to the end. It saddened me that no one pays attention in history class any more. While the story the movie revolves around is fiction, everyone knows how the actual event ended. Right? Well... I thought they did...

IT's about time someone brought this event from history to the big screen. Knew abouth this but never in any detail. Don't know how factual it was but i like it.

alright mr harrington is more than just his most famous role to date. this film is set with a backdrop as majestic as mt vesuvius. not bad.

I don't understand why critics have low reviews for this movie. I loved it . I wish I had not read the reviews I almost did not buy it. If you like action and a movie that's not slow, this is it. It moves very well, good actors, and great 3d. I am done with critics.

the plot was interesting, with a few twists. The ending could have been better, but of course it was based on true events. Liked the actors and the acting.

This movie was a great action/historical drama. The special effects as Mt. Vesuvius erupts destroying Pompeii were awesome and really made the movie.

You know how it all ends....but so did you when you watched the Titanic. This is a nice love story....Princess falls for Slave. Cinematography is great.

from the beginning to the end was sooo great the story line the plots the actors my girl cried at the end we thought they was going to make it and they didn't I was so sad when the other guy died the other warrior who was his friend but happy when all the good guys got the just do he water seen was crazy to wow how it showed was so so amazing

It's a beautiful cinematic adventure with top of the line special effects. I liked this film. The picture quality is excellent on Blu-Ray.

the movie had alot of action good acting and plot. the ending sucked but for the most part it was good. can not all have happy endings I guess

His breakthrough film and I personally think he did great even though I knew how the movie was gonna end since I enjoy historical events

It's cool. Actually I haven't watched it yet but I'm getting points for my review. I'm sure it works as well as any blu ray.
