Great game for the kids. Easy to play for young ones.

My 7-year-old son played the heck out of this: It combines some of the appeal of Minecraft (his favorite) and fantasy RPGs. And at a lower price point than many of the other Switch games, it seems to be a good value for the amount of play-time he got out of it (until he misplaced the cartridge -- those cartridges are so small and easy to lose!).

Amazing game for the price! Nothing to lose when buying this! So much fun and on the go? Yes! Only downfall is that the golden throne add-ons are only for PS4 and Xbox! But it’s either minor extras or portability and I chose portability! Playing on split screen with my husband is AMAZING AND SO MUCH FUN! Highly recommend for those that like building with RPG elements as well!

I have not played game but have seen it played by my kids...it's an rpg that even my 6 yr old enjoys and can play with his 9 yr old brother. Husband downloaded the PC version, hoping it would interface with the switch (it doesn't) but wound up completely enjoying the game & plays it by himself...a lot! Haha!

This was a game the surprised me. I'm not a big fan of Minecraft so I had the assumption that this game was going to be like that or worse, a knockoff. I was completely wrong. Menu took a while to navigate but once you put a few hrs in the game, you'll navigate without any issues. The RPG aspect of the game def adds this classic game.

Portal Knights takes the crafting elements of Minecraft and build an actual game around it. The overall look of the game is fantastic. Some design choices were a bit frustrating, even if necessary: in particular forcing combat in the third person view. But these minor nitpicks do nothing to tarnish an otherwise fantastic title.

This was a great game choice for my two Minecraft obssessed boys. They like the graphics and gameplay. They LOVE that the mechanics to harvest resources and then create items from them is included as well as, the fact that they are playing an RPG. Overall an excellent purchase.

My 7 year old recently got a Nintendo Switch and decided to get this game instead of Minecraft (which he loved). After playing with Portal Knights, he claimed that he liked it much better than minecraft. To top it off, we got this game during a sale so paid half price for it.

After playing dragon quest builders for the first time and finishing it, I felt the need of playing more sandbox games, this one is multiplayer so thats awesome, I didnt like the controller setup even though you can change the buttons it cant be fixed completely.

One of the best things in this game is Couch Co-op play! Play it 1 player or get a friend and hand them the 2nd Joycon and get playing 2-player!

Picked this game up for my kids cause they love minecraft. So far, it's pretty good, it has 2 player co-op/split screen, which is good if you only have one switch and one cartridge. You can build, mine, craft items and armour, fight monsters, and level up your stats.

This game is decent. It does a lot of things well, like environment variety and movement, but does things poorly, too, such as enemy variety and confusing controls/menus. Worth the $17 I paid for it with GCU, but wouldn't pay much more than that.

I can't believe I got a game with this much content and attention to detail at the price I paid for it. My son just loves running around and fighting. Similar to Minecraft but more active and fun in my opinion.

Super fun game to play with friends. Bought this for me and my son to play together and then bought it again for my daughter to join the fun. Good mix between a RPG and Minecraft.

The game has a nice minecraft feel to it plus your adventurer goes around killing monsters and finding treasure. Also, a friend can join you splitscreen and you can use teamwork on the monsters. Good game for encouraging creativity and cooperation!

at a budget price this game is a really great adventure title for the switch, you can choose between 3 different characters play through multiple levels. The graphics are chibi cutsie style but the gameplay is solid and entertaining.
