Overall, I disliked the size of the keys on this keyboard. I understand it is meant to be compact and portable, however, typing on it is very uncomfortable. I frequently use the Page Up, Page Down, Home, End, etc buttons, and this keyboard requires you to push the function button to use it as they are integrated into the F buttons. It adds extra power which is great. I love that feature. However, it is also fairly heavy. It adds a lot of weight to a portable device. The trackpad is terrible IMO. It is very tiny and there is little distinction between the trackpad and the surrounding areas. It is easy to completely miss the trackpad since it's hard to tell where you're touching. Overall, great product if you don't mind the small trackpad and keys. It definitely adds battery life.

The power cover or keyboard for the Surface is outstanding. It extends the battery life by what seems like 2X. I had a cross-country flight and had more than enough power to last the duration of the flight. I used my Surface Pro 2 the ENTIRE time we were airborne. I watched two movies and checked 200+ e-mails. Great product.

This is a great dual purpose item. Battery and a keyboard - nice action keys and doubles your Surface battery. WIN WIN.

We had to replace the original keyboard that came with our surface. It died the day after the warranty went out and Microsoft did nothing to help us. Best buy at least tried and went so far as to give us a very good discount on a new keyboard that was tactile and works much better for us.

I bought this for my Surface Pro to extend my battery life. It's definitely done the job. I can fly 6-7 hours w/o a charge. The keyboard is a little small. I wish the touch pad was better. I got this open box so it was great deal.

I am a quadriplegic and need a small touch screen laptop. The keyboard attaches with easy and holds strong! They only thing I dislike is the material it is made of. It scuffs up easy and loses its new clean look after spending so much $$$$

Awesome battery life added! Great keyboard feedback when typing. No backlit, adds bulk, has to be on/sleep to charge the keyboard (attached). Other than the last 3, its really an awesome keyboard/battery life extender.

I use my surface for work and travel and wanted a keyboard attachment. I'm glad Microsoft made the keyboard to extend the battery. GENIUS!!

This a good item that was for my daughter going off to college.

The extra batterylife is really great, but the problem of this product is that it is so much heavier than the type cover, which makes the already unwieldy surface pro 2 unusable.

The power cover is exactly what it was designed for. It adds another 4 hours to the 7 of the surface pro 2, so it works out great for very long flights!

Overall the performance has been good. The additional battery life and keyboard combo is great. Maybe in the next version, they will add back lit keys. Weight is surprisingly lite to be both a keyboard and battery.

This battery/keyboard will extend the useful life of my original surface pro by at least 1-1/2 to 2 years since it not makes it competitive with similar products in terms of the time between charges

I bought this keyboard for my son for him to use with his Surface tablet. He uses it everyday for school and general browsing. He has had no complaints with this product.

Unless you're a child or have small hands, typing on this keyboard can be difficult on a good day, and next to impossible when attempting speed-of-thought type pace. The surface can be difficult to clean too. It's also way too overpriced at $200. I ended up buying a wireless keyboard and haven't seen the need for this keyboard since.

The Surface Pro first generation lasts about 4.5 hours. That's a little short of my needs without finding a power outlet to plug into. The Power Cover gives me another 3.5 hours to get met through an 8 hour day. I can now make it an entire day (shift) without recharging. On the down side, the cover will add both twice the thickness of regular cover and quite a bit more weight. This is expected considering it's packed with a battery. The other issue is it does not have backlighting. For some reason, they went to the trouble of adding a light for the caps lock, but nothing else. I have also had problems where the Surface Pro will stop recharging once the main battery is charged and will not charge the cover unless I have the unit powered on. This seems to defeat the purpose, but I've dealt with it. Altogether, if you just need an extra few hours of charge, this cover does the job. I prefer it over carrying around a power brick or periodic recharging.

My MS touch keyboard wore out in two years. This is much better :)
