I bought this to have an extra sensor bar for when I travel with my Wii since the one that came with the unit is attached to my TV. It works great, and I like how you can adjust the range. The only problem is it doesn't fit into my Wii travel bag.

I really wish it had an option to either to plug into an outlet or to the back of the Wii. With my kids that love the Wii, I have batteries always charging. The cost of batteries can be costly if you don't get rechargeable. There has to be a better way to get the awesome results compared to the cost of the battery consumption.

This thing is awesome! I do not know how it works but you just turn it on and play. No set up is required. I bought this for my second wii so i did not have to run another sensor bar for it. it will work instantly with either wii but is used primarly for my black wii. since i have a sensor bar for the other already installed.

This was a must-have for me since I vacuumed up my sensor bar cord and couldn't find a replacement anywhere. I tried the candle trick, which works well, but kept getting wax on my screen when I blew them out. It works fine, but this sensor bar will eat up the batteries like there's no tomorrow. It requires 4-AAs and they last a week at most. I've found that it lasts a few hours longer if its on the short-range setting. Rechargeable batteries are becoming a must-have as well.

I have a 106" projection setup and have had a lot of trouble with games that require the sensor bar. This one works great and lets me aim accurately at all parts of the screen.

I just added the Wii to my entertainment system. I have a mounted LED-LCD connected to a PS3, HD-DVR, and a Receiver for my surround sound. All the wires for my speakers and electronics are hidden in the walls or the attic, the only thing in the living room is the tv and speakers, everything else is in the next room. Then there was the Wii. I had it setting on my mantle with wires running up to the back of the tv, over to the original sensor bar, and down to the nearest outlet. Thanks to the BD&A Ultra Wireless Sensor Bar, the Wii console is now in the next room and my living room is wire free again!
Auto Shutoff is good for me because I sometimes forget to turn it off because I was used to just hitting the power button on the remote and that was it, now there are two things to turn off, which is not a problem. After reading some off the other reviews, I did buy some rechargeable batteries to go with it, but have had no problem installing or removing them.

After my first Wii was stolen I became determined to utilize wireless technology to hide my gear. I just wish the wireless bar could be locked down, as is the TV and everything else. The new security cameras work great, and they provide fun video feedback of our gameplay too!

Great Solution, Batteries Die Easily

This was meant to replace the wired one, or as one to, say, moving the Wii to another TV, so the wired is left at the original location (sticky pads being one reason). It lasts ONE DAY with a set of 4 Energizer alkaline AAs. Also, the auto-shutoff feature occurs EVEN IF IT'S BEING USED.
My Recommendation: use the wired one, or find another wireless one that doesn't eat the batteries or uses a power source other than batteries.

Worked perfectly, set up in a large room (28x15) and it worked flawlessly out of the box. Put in batteries, put under TV, turned on, and was playing the Wii.

This helps expand your area wider so your sensor for the Wii is more accurate! This has improved our games scores a great deal. it picks up way more of your movements. Would highly recommend for Wii Sports, Resort, Just Dance 2 & Zumba fitness!! =)

This sensor bar works just fine after having to replace the one that came with my Wii thanks to my cat chewing the cord in half. :(

Great product; no configuration; just turn on

I moved my Wii to a closet containing the rest of the electronics for the room where my family plays the Wii. No configuration was required for this product. I just added batteries and turned it on.
The only complaint is that its form factor could be a bit better for placing on top of a mounted flat panel television (hence the lower design score). It works, but I have a three-year-old plasma. I suspect a newer, thinner TV would not hold it on top...

Great Concept, but Drains Batteries

I love that this bar is bigger than the one that came with the Wii. Since we bought it my cat has not knocked it down once (something he used to do to the wired bar constantly). However, it goes through batteries crazy fast! I am considering replacing it with a new wired bar because of this!

I had the previous version which had like a 20 ft cord and this looks much nicer and can expand to wide range for easier use from different angles.

We needed to get a replacement sensor because the wire in our original split and I was very nervous about getting a new one and connecting it to the wii. This you simply insert the batteries and turn on the power....that's it!

Worked Well When It Wasn't Broke

After the first batteries were shot, I went to replace them. The connector/spring on one of the battery ports broke off and I couldn't use the sensor anymore. I just extrated the batteries and the darn thing came out with it. Not too happy, but for $20, I can live with it.

I bought this contraption thinking it would make a difference, and it didn't the batteries don't last more than a couple of days, it is a total waste of money. The difference between this and the bar that comes with the wii is unnoticeable, don't waste your money, definitely not worth it.
