I've played 2 other Arkham games, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City both on PS3. I'm ignoring Arkham Origins since a different studio worked on the title and it doesn't fit nicely into the trilogy. I can say this game took everything good from before and expanded upon it. The voice acting is superb with all my favorites back from the previous games. The city is MASSIVE and a ton of fun to explore either in the batmobile or by gliding from rooftop to rooftop. I can't say much about the story to keep from giving away spoilers but I'll say I've been hooked from the very beginning. For me a good game is all about the single-player story and experience, and this has delivered hours and hours of entertainment. The learning curve is nicely graded with enough challenge that I've had to redo parts in order to move forward, but not so difficult that I've wanted to smash the controller into tiny pieces.
The missions are diverse and exciting, and I love the open world feel of Gotham that allows you to progress at your own pace (mostly) and take on the missions you want. It's such an immersive environment I really applaud all of the developers, programmers, artists, designers, etc. who worked so hard on every single detail. I'm about 90% done with the game and I already know I'll be back for more when I've finished it.

Rocksteady have outdone themselves with this game. It looks amazing, the combat is even more fun this time around thanks to new enemies and ways to take them down. The Batmobile is a beast and a blast to play with. The story is top notch. Sadly the Boss Battles are not that great. Regardless the game is outstanding.

Improving upon the strong gameplay standard Rocksteady established with Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, Arkham Knight is the conclusion to the series and certainly goes out with a bang. The combat remains the same wonderful, flowing combat as before, with new enemy types included to spice up fights. The Batmobile is of course a critical aspect of the game and is super fun to drive and use but is perhaps a bit overused for the various missions the game has to offer. Stealth segments don't show up nearly as much as they used to but are still present and provide more fun, predatory experiences for players. And without giving too much away, there's an entire character arc persisting throughout the game that, well, personally I believed it was the best part of the game in how it was handled.
That being said, the game does fall a bit short, with essentially no boss fight unlike the previous entries in the series, save for Batmobile-based ones which aren't all that exciting. The plot is also fairly loose and several characters don't get the treatment they deserve.
While the game IS a fantastic game, it's touted as the conclusion to the Arkham series and the definitive Batman experience and yet, it doesn't feel like the definitive Batman experience. There's so much untapped potential for a better Batman game than this and it is disappointing to know that Rocksteady is abandoning it for other projects given their track record for building upon previous games for sequels. Still, it's a good, solid game that I'd recommend to just about anyone.

Arkham Knight is a great game. If you've played the other Arkham games, then you'll feel right at home with the combat and predator mechanics of Arkham Knight, which both remain excellent. Those of you who are new to the series will have a learning curve but you'll get it with little difficulty. Rocksteady even added a few new things to combat, including dual takedowns when you're battling a group of baddies with a Robin, Nightwing or Catwoman. And they made a few predator takedowns a bit easier to execute.
The biggest addition to the Arkham series is of course, the Batmobile. I'm not that adept at driving games so I have a bit of trouble driving around Gotham City. Maybe it's the sensitivity of the controls but who knows. Unfortunately for me, the Batmobile is essential to the game so we cannot complete the game without it. I have to admit that seeing the bad guys run when they see the Batmobile speeding their way is very satisfying.
The story is again excellent with a few twists that I didn't see coming, with side missions you should definitely finish. The voice acting is also top-notch. The most annoying villain (at least to me) is still the Riddler. I just can't stand his voice!
Aside from the driving mechanics, Arkham Knight is still an awesome game.

I can easily say so far, this is my favorite game of the current console generation. This game looks beautiful, and builds upon the atmosphere of the other arkham games. Gameplay is still as seamless in combat as ever before, and new takedowns are great additions to the stealth gameplay.
The one point of contention in this game seems to be that of the batmobile. Although I enjoyed every moment of racing through Gotham in the batmobile, there are most certainly others who felt it was overused, especially the tank battles. If you are able to overlook this, or enjoy these moments like I did, the game has a lot to offer and is worth playing. With a lengthy main story, and a plethora of side missions, I still can't help but recommend this game, even if the batmobile gameplay bores you to tears.

I played and finished Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and even Arkham Origins. This is the best one. Big open world game with plenty of side quests. Like the other games Batman games, it can get a bit repetitive. Fighting crime does make you feel that way though, but it does give a bit more side stories/quests. Speaking of story, I thought it had a nice flow to it. It may be a little more dark than the other Batman games. The big change on this is the Batmobile which I thought worked flawlessly. I didn't notice any glitch while using it. However, I can say they may put in too much of it. What I mean by that is you rely on it heavily at certain points of the game such as the side quests. It is a fun new toy to have and we all love new toys and what to play with it as much as possible, but I thought they could've put less of it in the game. The combat system in this game is just like the previous Batman games, but with a lot more extra moves and gadgets. All this may seem overwhelming if you haven't play the past Batman games and may take some time getting used to. Don't let it intimidate you as there are challenge spots around the game where you can practice the free flow combat system.

Pros:
*The Batmobile: They overused the Batmobile in this game, maybe because it'll be the first AND LAST Arkham game to have it. So, either be happy that your gliding days are over, or cry because there will be parts of the game where you'd rather be able to use the Batmobile instead of going there by yourself to beat up a myriad of thugs while you escape the shield bashing, stun sticks and the eventual turret or drone aiming at you.
*Improved graphics brought by next-gen consoles.
*The new Batsuit: On the PS4 the new Batsuit looks GORGEOUS. Do note, however, that the Batsuit will not look perfect throughout the game. By the end of the game you're going to wish they let you change back to the older model, however, this new Batsuit allows you to do so many new things (that will be added below) that even if you were given this choice, you wouldn't go back to the older one. On your second playthrough (to get the platinum or remaining achievements you WILL need to play New Game +) you can get a version of the suit that does not show damage, ever. You can also use your DLC suits too, and change whenever you want.
*Gadgets have been enhanced on this game, and with the new suit, the Batmobile can launch Batman as if he were a rocket into the air, with the improved grappler, and the "railgun-like Batman eject seat" from the Batmobile, you can glide as fast as ever, sometimes it's even faster than actually driving the rocket-powered Batmobile.
*LOTS of bosses: As always, you can choose who you're going after by solving lots of cases. On your first playthrough, you might want to take them all. First because it'll be easier. Second because the XP system is basically gone, and you get way more upgrade points for your gadgets/batmobile doing these missions than beating up thugs on the streets (which generally won't give you any XP at all, just a health recharge.)
*Original story. I gotta say I'm impressed with Rocksteady for making this game WITHOUT the Joker as the main villain. I just don't agree with who they chose to be the main villain: Scarecrow. I, for one, would rather have the Arkham Knight instead of Scarecrow as the main villain. You might agree with me if you already played the game.
*LOTS LOTS LOTS of plot twists, and some interesting choices to make down the road.
*A big city to explore. Although the game will force you to stay focused on only one part of it for a while. After the boring missions, you're free to roam. However, this is an Arkham game, so all the doors are likely to be closed when you find them for the 1st time.
*Riddles everywhere!
*FEAR Takedowns. If you love bullet-time effects, one-hit takedowns, scared thugs screaming before being knocked out, and an elaborate strategy to group at least 2 guys near one another and on a specific position (usually near the grate you're under, on the other side of a breakable wall or right beneath you when you're on the ceiling) so you can take them down fast, then this is for you.
*Catwoman looks cute, so does Barbara, Harley... (I HAD to add that. Especially for Catwoman. Rawr!)
Cons:
*The game will get old after a while. The good part of the story/game are the Arkham Knight, Scarecrow, and an old friend who pays a visit to Batman every now and then. Other than that, it gets old because you're either on a tank battle with your Batmobile, or you're beating more thugs than the entire Expendables crew could ever fight against (except Chuck Norris, as we all know he can banish evil from the universe with a roundhouse kick)
*There are basically no boss fights in this game. All you do is beat up a bunch of thugs, then beat SOME of the bosses a little, until the fight is over.
*Some AR Challenges are a pain to complete, just because the game wants you to become a god on certain activities. For example, there's an AR challenge where you can't be hit, and the screen is full of ninjas. I get it, it's supposed to be hard, but some are just frustrating.
*Knightmare (the New Game+) difficulty is REALLY difficult when you begin the game. You take double/triple damage, deals half or less damage, and the best feature: You don't get the "cue" of when the enemy will strike or shoot so you can counter/evade, so expect to die. A LOT. Especially on boss battles.
*Unlike Arkham City, there will be a lot of characters around, like Robin, Catwoman and Nightwing. But unlike Arkham City, you cannot play with any of them.
*The ending is lame. I won't spoil it, but you're probably going to hate it too.
*Batwing was inserted on the game, but you can't fly it.
*I wish some parts of the game (with the old friend I mentioned above to prevent spoilers) were different. If I could, I'd make it differently, but Rocksteady can't please everybody, so I have to accept what they did.

The ability to drive the Batmobile really took this game over the top. The graphics are amazing, story line is deep and engaging, and there is enough to do ALL THE TIME. In fact, there is almost too much to do. If you love completing riddles, there are over 200 in hidden locations around the HUGE open world map. A map which you are able to freely roam from the start of the game (although not with your batmobile by your side) without having to "unlock" it. Fighting style remains the same with a few new tweaks to the moves to make it look cooler. I thought it would be difficult to operate the batmobile after watching the trailers, but it is actually really easy to operate. They did a great job.

I have not yet completed the game, but what I have seen so far is impressive. All combat, predator, and navigating mechanics have been further improved and refined. The story is tense and the side missions are varied. The Batmobile is an excellent addition to the series and brings new challenges and activities. Most importantly, the game successfully makes you feel like THE BATMAN. A must-buy for fans of the series, and a strong recommendation for newcomers (although I'd certainly suggest playing the previous titles first!)

The game masterfully captures what it probably feels like to be Batman. Overwhelmed by crime and using your head as much as your fists. Rocksteady Studios really listened to the fans and put in everything they have wanted since the first game. An explorable Gotham, a drivable Batmobile and all the villains we haven't seen yet. The Batmobile drives great and is fun to use and the side mission are a huge improvement over Arkham City's. However the story feels a bit hastily thrown together at times, the lack of boss battles and satisfying villain confrontations is frustrating and one concept i won't spoil is cool at first but quickly becomes annoying and unnecessary. But it's a great final installment to a great game franchise, and a must play for fans of the character.

If you're a batman fan, or DC fan overall, you will most likely find this game to be a fantastic experience.
Gameplay: The action in this game is even more seemless than the last 3 Arkham games. There are new gadgets at Batman's disposal, and a number of characters you will be able to play as during the story.
Story: The Story in my opinion is one of the best of the series. Great voice acting, jump scares, plot twists, with a dark-ery feel to it.
Bat Mobile Gameplay: Some people like the Bat Mobile gameplay in this. Others don't. I am in between. It is amazing to dive off the roof tops as the Dark Knight straight into your Bat Mobile. It is very fun ejecting Batman from the car anytime, straight up into the sky. But be aware: you'll be using the Bat Mobile for a large part of the Story Missions in this game. Racing/Car Chases/Tank-like battles.
Replay Value: There are 3 endings to the game. One ending requires you to collect ALL Riddler trophies, and complete ALL Most Wanted missions. So if you're into that, it'll be a while before you complete this game fully. If you're just going for the story, it should take around 8-11 hours depending on difficulty and skill.
Conclusion: This game was well worth the money in my opinion. I had a blast playing it. The Dark Story, Humorous moments, Action-Packed Gameplay, and surprises kept me on the edge of my seat. I almost forgot what "Outside" was for a week. And I'm not a huge Batman fan, either.
Cons: Bat Mobile use MIGHT be exhausting to some after using it for at least %50 of Story Missions/ Riddles/ Etc.

I really enjoyed Arkham Knight. The addition of the Batmobile while taking a bit of getting used to brought a fresh element to the Arkham series. Gotham City is huge and full of things to do. The graphics really bring the city to life. The fighting mechanics are solid as usual with some nice additions, especially when joined by a ally! The story is very well done. Overall great game and highly recommended. Sad to say goodbye to the series....

This game has everything a Batman fan could ask for! The extensive rogues gallery, immersive gameplay, and a tense storyline in which all of Gotham City hangs in the balance. The open world is vast and overflowing with things to do and thugs to dispatch, and the fidelity and detail of the graphics makes everything stand out and dazzle the player. You can even drive the Batmobile! If you aren't a Batman fan, this game will surely make you one.

I will start by admitting that this game was far from perfect, and in some aspects, it even let me down. However, for every thing that this game missed, it somehow scored on another (and often times unexpected) area.
At the moment, the game all but lacks the traditional challenge maps long associated with the game franchise. However, the main story is filled to the brim with fun and challenging side missions, including combat and predator scenarios to make up for their absence outside the main game.
The Batmobile was needlessly overused in puzzle solving, platforming, and racing. However, the addition of the long-awaited Batmobile to the series did feel organic otherwise, and it was totally awesome to drive! The driving mechanics were finely tuned and meshed well with Batman's abilities and needs. And speaking of Batman's abilities, this is the definitive version of Batman. His moves, gadgets, skills, techniques, and even voice acting are all at their peaks. In Arkham Knight, you don't play as Batman, you ARE THE BATMAN.
The plot itself was good, if predictable a times. However, Arkham Knight really shined when it came to storytelling. Every moment was suspenseful and weighty, with meaningful character interactions and the best environmental and atmospheric designs in the franchise. You could know what is coming next and still enjoy the story for the sole reason that it is told so well.
Although some parts of the game fall short, they all meld together to make a much stronger whole than any game preceding it. The game is beautiful, exciting, and challenging. Everyone should get Batman Arkham Knight

Unlike a certain other third installment, this is not a disappointing end to a series. Easily the strongest story in the series, the controls have been polished to a wonderful shine, and the Batmobile - while overused - does provide some additional variety to the gameplay and controls well. There's not much else to say while avoiding spoilers, but if you enjoyed Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, then this is a no-brainer.

I have purchased all of the Batman Arkham games to date and they are all excellent and this is no exception. Good story, voice acting and animated cut scenes. Gameplay is what I have come to expect, of course had to get used to it again. The new batmobile features are cool to have and after learning the subtleties of controlling it, has become a fun part of the game. Only 9% in so far but I think its awesome.

This game was a joy to play. I originally purchased it on the PC and later got a refund due to the horrible optimization and bugs (Warner Brothers actually recalled the PC version of the game). Fortunately I had only spent 1-1.5 hours playing the PC version. I then purchased this game (PS4) from Best Buy and have no regrets. The graphics look amazing on the PS4 and the game played smoothly. I don't remember how many hours that it took me to beat the game but if I had to guess I'd say around 15-20 hours.
I didn't purchase the DLC pass just yet, I'll probably do that when half of the content has already been released (why pay full price to get 1/6 of the DLC upfront). I don't want to spoil the story of the game but I was really satisfied with it.
Pros:
+Great game length
+Graphics look good
+Fun gameplay
+Game properly optimized
+Has a decent amount of side content (side missions) that can be worth completing (no spoilers here)
+Batmobile is fun...for a while
Cons:
-No real boss fights outside of the batmobile
-Batmobile is forced too much.

This game is absolutely phenomenal. You are placed in a much larger Gotham City and the level of detail is breathtaking. The developers have perfected the superhero video game with the Arkham series. I'm sad to see this end but am anxious to see if they have any other superheroes they want to bring to life.
I won't give away the plot, but understand that the side missions feel like main objectives and they seem to advance the main story. They're optional but are created to feel like you're not neglecting the main story. I love the use of weapons, the fight scenes, and the batmobile. It's not secret that it's a part of the gameplay, but the level of detail in the car is beyond what I expected.
Anyone playing this will not be disappointed. Looking forward to beating it and playing any DLs.
