If you have ever played and enjoyed either Carmageddon or Carmageddon II on the PC 15+ years ago, this game will bring back many memories. The gameplay is similar in that you can win a race by completing the race, killing all the pedestrians, or wasting all your opponents. A lot of the previous power ups have been brought back, along with some new ones. Unfortunately, it's too much like the older games. Over 15 years of gaming technology has occurred and the audio and video in the game don't seem much better than what we had back then. For a console game, I was expecting more in the sense of graphics and sound. It looks and feels like the original Carmageddon for DOS remastered and re-released for Windows Vista. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who loved the original games. For someone new, I'd cautiously advise them what to expect.

Combining racing with pedestrians. Gory fun great laughs. Like a B horror movie game.

I was a fan of the original games of the series and was very excited upon hearing that a new game was coming out on next gen systems. However, this game has not lived up to the hype. The handling of the vehicles is like stiff, the game seems to be short. (Still working on the campaign). But on there is some level of replay value in this game. Graphics aren't horrible but they could have spent some time on the mechanics.

I did not find even a moment of fun within this game. I am a big car mayhem video game fan, but this game felt very clunky. Playing it felt like playing one of those handheld car racing games from the 80s-90s where the track is moving, but the car is a stationary thing not even inside of the game; does that make sense? The load times were unforgivable, the levels were too expansive and raxces quickly became pointless, boring drive around trying to hir pedestrians while not totally feeling like I am in the excitement of anything competitive.

Lived this game years ago when it came out for the PC. I'd play for hours committing hit and run devastation wherever I could find it. The graphics (for the time) were pretty good, obligatory pixelation notwithstanding. Now 2015 and PS4 has re-released this classic game. The problem? The graphics are about the same as the PC version!! It took me back to yesteryear with token wheelchair/old lady crossing the street/clueless pedestrian mayhem. But honestly, the graphics were a bit of a let down. This is a cool racing game with obligatory sidewalk targets who sometimes are thrown great distances on impact and as long as you're not overly concerned with intense realistic graphics, you might enjoy this game.

Gore and racing lots of fun not for young children

Well, the graphics stink, the driving controls are sloppy, and overall, the game sucks.

Carmageddon has always been about have some quick crazy fun, not more. This title just does that... Recommended for fans of the series!

This is a cool game for those who played in the past. Unfortunately, the game has poor graphics and the playability is not so good.

Just like before packed with action and lets you run over stuff! Fun game to play!

Game is not bad and is not great. It is what it is. A smash mouth, run anything over type of game. Controls could use some work to get use to. It's definitely not arcade style control.

Reminds me of the original release. Just wish they updated the graphics. Still fun.

The controls are a little floaty but I really loved the series growing up.

Good concept. Some fun moments running over pedestrians. Major complaint is the controls and camera. Cars control like they are stuck on mud, turns are impossible to make without slowing to a crawl, and the camera constantly freaks out if you are in between or around buildings. Pass on this. There is a reason it went down in price so quickly.

Not the best game ever but it's still a fun game to play

decent game if you young enough. same thing over and over, but if you like driving over people then this is the game.

Had it for pc back in the day. Got it for ps4 but really can't get into it like I did for pc.

I love games of this sort, dating all the way back to Twisted Metal... this isn't as good as that series, but it's a lot of fun!
