Okay game. Will probably not recommend to my friend. Got it because of the best buy promotion.

This game is better than the first which was amazing. The storyline is awesome. Its a must have if you played the first one.

Adding games to my PS3 collection, couldn't pass this one up.

Cool little zombie killing game. There are a few in the series and all are good.

I really enjoyed the co-op play and for parts of the game, the extra help greatly improved the enjoyability of the game.

The game is just like the first with just average graphics. If you didn't like the original, you won't like this one. The best part of the game is getting to kill zombies. If that is not enough to get you interested than this is not for you.

Frame rate dropped way to often to enjoy on PS3. The game could be enjoyable if you can get passed this issue.

Better than the first game hands down. Single player felt lacking to me, co-op is where it is at. Playing with others, especially with like minded players, was actually rather fun. Although the game does seem to be on the short side.

When the original Dead Island first released it was met with decent fanfare and a few problems. It wasn't your typical first person game of this generation as most of the weapons available were not guns. This turned some people away, but those who stayed were rewarded with a very rewarding experience. Who would expect a resort to be loaded with guns anyhow. I mention the original game first as the sequel is more or less the same experience with minor changes. Not that this is a bad thing, but those should be warned who either did not like the first or were burnt out on it. A few great additions include much more defend your camp missions with very pleasing results and you can also travel by boat now(pretty great replication of the real thing). The combat also feels a tad bit more fluid, but there are still hiccups. The missions are still basically fetch missions so not much change there. In the end, if you liked the first Dead Island and you are not burned out, then pick up Riptide.

Overall this sequel is a great one to the original Dead Island. Get to play as one of four characters each with a different ending. Graphics are good. Obviously lots of blood and gore, but it is typically for this type of game. The game is very "fetch quest" heavy which I don't mind.
