just started game so far...story is very intriguing.....keeps you very involved....many people recommened it....besides caught it very cheap at best but.....less than 10 bucks

This is a bit less of a game and more of an interactive story-telling experience. That's not a bad thing; it's a good story. The controls are a bit clumsy, but they work OK for what they are trying to do. But note this: this is a dark story, so if you typically don't go in for darker stuff, you may not like it.

Great story for a great price. Less a game more like playing a movie where you can slightly alter the story, kind of tedious at times. Your actions can affect the story in later chapters. Not a game suitable for young children - story line and some actions are adult-themed.

A game made more for the story than anything else. Forget action with this one. Enjoy the ride.

Honestly I didn't know what to expect when I got the game. The gameplay took awhile to get down but after you get the hang of it you will be drawn into to the storyline. Basically the storyline and gameplay pulls you in and it's literally movie you control with your actions. I literally played non stop to figure out who the killer was (will not spoil) it's literally a race against time with this game that has you on the edge guessing. It's a great game for those into mystery thrillers and a good switch up from FPS and what not. Worth every Penny and great replay value!

From the same guy that made Beyond Two Souls made this game. I have Beyond Two Souls, absolutely amazing! Heavy Rain is just as amazing, definitely a must have, simply beautiful.

I picked Heavy Rain up brand new for $29.99 at Best Buy and it was the best $30 I've spent on a game. Heavy Rain is a crime-thriller about 4 characters trying to track down the Origami Killer. You play as Ethan Mars, a father trying to find his son kidnapped by the Origami Killer, Madison Paige, a journalist, Norman Jayden, an FBI agent and Scott Shelby, a private investigator. I won’t go into details of the story, but just like the tagline says “how far would you go to save someone you love?” it does just that. This is one of the best stories I’ve seen in a video game in recent years that grips you emotionally and doesn’t let go. The first thing you’ll notice are the graphics. They are INCREDIBLE! Some of the best graphics I’ve seen on the PS3. The details in the environment and the characters are some of the best you’ll see. I’ve had friends ask “is that real?” when a loading screen displays a close up of the characters’ facial expressions. They are really that good. The gameplay consists of moral paths and choices that you must make throughout the game. Every choice has a consequence and will change the ending depending on how you handle certain situations. The actions scenes mainly take place in the form of quick time events. Depending on the icon, you either have to tap a button or move the right stick in the direction it tells you to. The music and sound design are great. The music really brings you into the atmosphere of Heavy Rain and makes you tense during the time sensitive parts of the game. The voice acting is some of the best I’ve heard, with the exceptions for some parts (specifically when Ethan is calling for Jason and Shaun). The controls for the most part are pretty easy once you get used to them. However, one flaw with the control scheme is that it makes it hard to maneuver, especially when trying to walk to a certain spot (this was also a problem in Indigo Prophecy, made by the same company). You will notice some weird character animations and texture pop-ins at times, but that does not deteriorate the game in any way. If you like an amazing story filled with atmosphere and characters that you can relate to emotionally, then this game is for you. If you were a fan of Indigo Prophecy, then you will love Heavy Rain.

I wasn't sure, if my son was going to like this game when I bought it but he actually loved it.. try it you won't regret.

Hadn't heard of this game prior to seeing it on sale, I'm super glad I did it's an amazing title, one of the greats! The way I describe it to people is that it's like an interactive movie, in the true sense.

It's a great cinematic experience. Get the DLC if you can also.

I purchased this for my kids and although they played it for a long weekend, after that it was on the shelf.

Nice game, and worth to have one. Not much, a pre-Owned is a good opinion, always low price. And it doesn't matter much. You could enjoy the game with less money. The game is excite by the way. Don't miss it. Get one as soon as possible. Check the clearanc you may find something surprises you.

I picked this up to finally play through it and we enjoyed it greatly, me playing and my wife watching. It is essentially an interactive film and is a lot of fun. It was a nice change of pace from the typical games that are out there.

A must play if you're a gamer! If you have a ps3 you must play it!

Very interested in the game at first, got old pretty quick

Heavy Rain is an awesome game. I wish I had bought it when it came out last year. When you start playing, you get caught how great the graphics are along with voice acting which is so fluid and natural. When I started I couldn't stop playing. I played for 6 hours one time and then when you get to the end, you're ready to start over and choose different scenarios make different decisions to see how different the outcome would be. This is great game if you're into puzzle solving or crime drama games. If you decide to buy be sure and buy the add-on Chronicles with the female character.
