I so wish this game had more content than it does. I am a Metal Gear nut and, I wish the next, or current, generation Metal Gear Solid game had more and was as fat in content as it could possibly be.

It's about time he left Konami and moved on to a company that is going to give this man the respect and support he deserves to keep making games like this for decades to come. After going through development chaos Konami finally released this game to the public. It is an amazing adventure filled with action and plenty of memorable moments. Be prepared to take it way too seriously or just play around and have a good time. A little something for everyone.

It's the best, most disappointing game.

As a long time fan of the series I wanted to love this game the second I purchased it. I followed the making of a Metal Gear Solid five game since Kojima mentioned it was going to originally be about the Cobra Unit in WWII, so I was ready for it even though the original plan was scrapped. This game felt so great, the gameplay is solid, the visuals are unbelievably nice, but the whole game lacks in story and emotion, they don't make you feel anything and when you do start getting to the part where things are starting to get good, the game ends. Yup. Just ends. This game is unfinished and its a real let down. If you can pretend the only necessary part about playing a game is the actual *playing* bits then its a great game, but other than that, it's not worth your time or money...

The opening of the game will DRAW YOU IN DEEP. I watched it and became hooked. I decided to buy after seeing it and every time I play I get more and more invested in it.

Played it a bit but fallout overcame everything, all in all it looks great and for what it is its a good game but stealth is not my style I just figured I would try it before writing it off. But if you like these games you can't go wrong with it

The good and bad of MGS as a Sandbox Game

This series has always been great at convoying a interesting story with amazing cinematic moments. This game lacks that and the incredible bosses of the past games. It doesn't make the game bad. It is great but it still is a negative. The game does what all the rest does well and that is the attention to detail on the gameplay. It has the highest polish you can ever expect from a video game. It allows you to use your stealth abilities in varying ways. It can feel a bit repetitive over time but it always pulled me back in. The game has an amazing meta game system making you enhance your base. It is somewhat similar to Peace Walker but not at this grand of a scale.

This is an awesome game, but different from the other installments of MGS. This is the 'open world' type and you can do a million different things. It's a nice change from the old types, and the graphics are awesome. I've been playing for quite a few hours and I'm only 12% done the game.

The Perfection of Stealth Action

To get the bad out of the way first: if you are looking for a satisfying narrative conclusion to the saga of Metal Gear Solid – you are NOT going to find it here unfortunately. However, the gameplay is simply the most incredible stealth action ever put in a video game. The possibilities and fluidity with which they can be executed are simply outstanding. Recommended to any fan of open world or stealth games.

It deserves its value and it's good to play it early. But the story line is kind of weird and many important details are in the tapes, which hurts a lot actually....
