Everything about this game is freaking awesome! The new characters, fatalities, stages and game mechanics. Everything so far has been blowing my mind. If you're a fan of Mortal Kombat, or just fighting games in general, then you have to at least give this game a try.

Very dark, bloody, and probably one of the most violent games. And one of the best Mortal Kombat games. The game continues the bleak ending of MK9 and then jumps 25 years ahead, bringing back old fighters like Sub-Zero, Sonya, and Kenshi, and bringing in new fighters.c

If you're a fan of 2D fighters, you owe yourself to check this game out. If you love Mortal Kombat, why are you even reading this??? This new interation is great. They have a batch off new characters that are welcome, however, if you played Injustice some of the moves seem familiar. No worries though! Each character has three variation. Each variation having different supers and therefore changing the way you use them. This ultimately make it feel like there are more characters than there really are. I was never a fan of Sub Zero because of how slow he was. However, he has a variation that makes him faster, but his ice powers aren't as strong. The story mode is about 5 hours long, pretty decent for a fighting game. Tons of online modes, KoTH, Ranked, Unranked, Towers, etc. This game is a huge step in the right direction for Mortal Kombat. I suggest picking it up!

If you have been a fan of the Mortal Kombat games then you should definitely own this one. It is the best Mortal Kombat game up to date. Highly recommend this game. The graphics are top notch and the fatalities are brutal. It's the perfect package.

This game is awsome!! The story mode is good and the fighters are actually challenging, online is easy to connect with friends, hardly any lag, really good game sooooooooooo many moves for each character and fatalities and brutalities, its a must have!!

Loving it! Klassic Kombat molded with Injustice interesting interaction. Daily and Hourly Tower challenges for a challenge. Online Play. Graphics make It a cinematic experience. Sweet and crisp textured. Good story so far and I'm hooked. BUY THIS GAME.

I love this game. The graphics are intense, the storyline is good and it gives you a ton of different game modes to play in. The fatalities are amazing. I can't get enough of this. Going to be tough relearning a fighting game, but it is what it is.

I bought this Game for my son and I had to play. He's 11 years old and he loves it. He's actually better at it than I am which really isn't saying much but we both really enjoyed it especially the older characters that were on the limited edition.

So I don't play fighting games, but this one is amazing! The graphics are incredible, the fights are fun, the characters are unique and the levels are spectacularly done! Just an amazing game, even if you have never played a fighting game before!

This is a excellent game. Its been a long time since Ive played MK and I was hesitant on buying this game. But Im glad I did graphics are excellent and all the new characters are a plus. If you enjoy this type of game you won't be disappointed.

The new gen of MK. The graphics are awesome and the game play is smooth. I am looking forward to the release of Predator. There are many extras, skins, and more characters to be released in the future. This is the best MK game by far.

AMAZING storyline - something I never thought I'd say about a MK title...then again, I haven't paid too much attention in the past. Slick fighting animations, excellent lineup of characters, and wicked fatalities...a MUST HAVE title.

My son was so excited to get the game for his birthday! Him & his brother have been playing it ever since they got it, the graphics are AMAZING and the fatalities are CRAZY!! Not meant for younger children. Teen & up for sure.

The games story is even more engaging than MK9, and looks so much better. Game play is smooth and easy to learn and all characters are well balanced and have other characters that are their counters. Even the endings are almost all linked together to create one large canon ending. However it can come off as an MK9 version 2.

Honestly, I already knew this game was going to be great from just seeing the commercials. But, it's better than I imagined. The graphics are beyond amazing and the characters are fantastic. Love this game, completely.

This game is so great on every level. The usual characters are back, and some new capable characters as well. The online is better than ever and the best online in a fighting game I've played. there are 1v1 3v3 and 5v5 with randoms or friends and randoms. king of the hill game mode is 7 people in a tournament like mode. king of the hill matches are done one at a time while the other players spectate your match and rate after. the person defends his streak and all the players in the lobby rotate and try to beat him.then when he's defeated you got a new king and he now has to defend his throne. it can get pretty intense when a player is on a 10, 20 or 50 winning streak and people are trying to take him down. the krypt is also a lot of fun for buying and exploring.

I will start my review with the disclaimer that I am much more into shooters and RPGs than fighting games in general. I just buy the occasional fighting game as a fun alternative to play with friends sometimes. I've always been a pretty big fan of the Soul Calibur series, and have always found those games fun and easy to pick up & play (meaning you don't have to have spent hours practicing and memorizing crazy hard fighting combos to play and be decent at it). Mortal Combat X is much different. I find the move combos a lot harder to achieve (much more joystick action rather than buttons) and it's not a game I feel I can just pick up & play without spending hours practicing beforehand to enjoy. I'm sure a more hardcore fighting game player would love this for playing online competitively, though.

This is the best Mortal Kombat game, (other than the original) to date. Amazing graphics, fighting controls, combos, fatalities and just all around beautiful game play make this game hard to put down! Highly recommended!

I play sports games, but this game is fun. buttons are easy to remember, graphics are outstanding. Game is for older people because of the blood and gore. would recommend to anyone who wants to relax and beat things up.

With an awesome roster of characters and great controls, Mortal Kombat X has become my go to fighting game on Xbox One. I've played MK games for a very long time and this title is definitely a worthy successor to the mantle. This game has a good story mode which provides a good way for new players to learn the ropes before venturing into online play and when you're ready several different online modes which cater to any players style. Got time? Join a King of the Hill lobby and battle your way to be the King. Need a quick one on one? Ranked versus or Social versus is ready for you. Plus the faction system and challenges adds a weekly incentive to put time in and help your faction receive the rewards. This is an amazing fighting game.
