Customers are saying

Customers recognize the engaging story and fun, smooth gameplay as major strengths of Pre-Owned Tales of Berseria. The well-done battle system and easy-to-learn controls also receive positive feedback. However, some customers mention that the game environments could be improved and that the difficulty may be too easy for some players. A few also noted minor issues with the translation.

You already know what to expect, great combat, some memorable characters, and a questionable translation. If you're already a Tales fan, no reason not to play this.

The gameplay is buttery smooth and the characters are some of the best ever in a Tales game. The story is my favorite of the Tales series as its Dark tone was a refreshing take I played 50+ hours and still didnt 100% the game yet.

So, let me 1st say I'm not far into this game. just recently started it, but so far it's a really solid game. If you are like my wife and an I and have enjoyed the tales series in the past then you will enjoy this game. It plays very much like other games in the series. A few minor additions like the soul gauge keep it feeling fresh but familiar. The story this time around is a little darker and deals with a theme of vengeance, Usually the tales series uses a very bright and save the world kind of story. The game breathes a freshness into the series and both old fans and new fans should enjoy it. Is it the best game I've played this year? No, (ZELDA and Horizon Zero Dawn own that spot). However is is a really good game that's worth playing if you are an JRPG or Tales series fan.

I bought this game almost exclusively because I was looking for an RPG and the price was right at the time of purchase. I've played a few Tales games before, but never been able to stick with them for more than a few hours. With Berseria, the cast has me hooked. I'm about 25 hours in and while the story hasn't particularly gripped me, I constantly want to see what the characters are going to do and say next. I also am a fan of the pacing in terms of gameplay elements being introduced. It feels like things come at you at a good rate, and I've never felt bored or overwhelmed with the systems in place. Combat can be a little confusing (for me at least), but I love it more than any previous Tales games' combat. However, that may not be saying much coming from me.

After enjoying Tales of Zestiria, I had to pick up the sequel, and it didn't disappoint. If you liked the first game, you'll like this one.

I haven't played a Tales game since Tales of the Abyss. With Berseria, the new story, the updated battle system, and the great characters made me glad that I came back to this franchise after all these years.

Great voice acting, characters, combat and story! The environment can get a little stale near the end. But this did not ruin my good time.

The Tales games have always been mostly happy with a fun crew going on an adventure. That changes for this game as the first few hours has grow an attachment towards a certain few characters only to rip that away from you and leave you eager to learn what happened to them. Aside from this, the gameplay is where the Tales games always shine, with a 3D battlefield, you must run around the arena and input one of several combos while also managing your party's levels and items. It's a genuine action RPG for any casual fan.

While not necessary to play the squeal game Tales of Zestiria (which was released first) this game is a game full of interesting twists and turns. Sometimes it is fun to play the villain

I honestly thought I would hate this game, and the first hour or two is a bit rough since the main character is not super likeable initially. But as the game goes on, the side characters are some of the best in any tales game and all of the characters go through major character development. I found the gameplay to be easier than most tales games and found it easy to accidentally be overleveled if played like other tales game (fight every encounter). Be aware of that if you don't want the middle of the game to be too easy.

-One of the best tales stories and has a great cast. This is the first game since Symphonia that I saw through the end. -Took me about 42 hours to beat, sidequests will be a extra 30-40 on average. -Visuals were great and was a solid 60 FPS all throughout, with the game running at 1080p. It IS a PS3 port though, so that made a huge different. -There is a lot of backtracking that does get tedious, and it feels like there are less locations then the other Tales games (as well as sharing a world with Zesteria). -The combat feels a bit clunky at times, and a bit easy. Play on the harder difficulties. This is a great title if you can pick it up for cheap.

Played previous entries of tales games and haven't gotten tired of it yet. The story seems darker this time around with the theme of revenge playing a big part but there are breaks in between the gloom to help lighten the mood. Battle is definitely easy to get into if your already familiar with this series so no major changes there just a few tweaks and skills to accommodate the main characters transformation. New ways to improve characters with equipment mastery. Definitely worth every penny.
