This reboot is phenomenal. The developers clearly thought this one through, which you can see visually, with the textures of the environments, the soaked shirt that clings to Lara's body as rain pours down on her. And the plot, though I haven't' progressed too far seems thought and and offers an interesting glimpse on how Lara came to be the Tomb Raider. Beyond that, this game has created a more realistic and positive female protagonist. The over sexualized Lara of the 90s is no more and that's a great thing, espeacially since there are more and more women and girls that play video games. For instance, my sister would have never touched this game in the 90s and now she's feeling more enticed to try this game out. The game has also ditched much of it's previous game play mechanics, which some might miss, but this game does things well. It's more inline with games like The Last of Us, The Evil Inside, Uncharted (this is an obvious comparison), and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West... and of course it's cinematic and is a great adventure game for any Indiana Jones fans. Though, I think this game isn't to over the top with it's violence, the death scenes for Lara might be a bit much for children. However the game revolves more about stealth and puzzle solving. Thus far I've killed more wolves than people. This is a great reboot and for PS owners, I definitely recommend playing it.

This was a fun game.. I'm not a gamer, but wish I was.. meaning I don't get to play as much as i would like.. however, I started this and was able to conquer.. in saying that, the game is not hard. great graphics, and a it reminded me of back in the day playing with Laura Croft!

I enjoyed some of the earlier Tomb Raider games, but they started to run together after a while. This game is a great reboot! The storyline starts at the beginning for Lara Croft. What's a real breath of fresh air is Lara herself. The new Lara Croft is much more than just eye candy. She is a strong character determined to get answers and he out of a tough situation. There is a air of realism to her character that was completely absent in the original series. That spreads across the rest of the game as well. It feels more like a realistic survival game as compared to the campy original adventure/platformer. I'm excited to see where Square-Enix takes things from here.

I'm a big fan of the Mass Effect series and games that bring a solid story to the experience, which Tomb Raider does fairly well. The progression through the game is fairly linear, but the maps are beautiful with enough diversity to stay interesting. I do wish the stealth aspects had been better realized, but there's a good balance between suspense, exploration, and action with a variety of weapons to use when dispensing the bad guys. I'm glad I picked this up and am hoping they release a sequel of equal quality.

I picked up a used copy of this game at Bestbuy for a great price and it has surpassed my expectations! This game may be a year old now but it is still amazing on the PS3 and I strongly recommend it. If you like adventure games like Uncharted then you will love this game. The variety of level play is also impressive, it's well worth being picked up if you haven't tried it yet.

This is a very nice game. Graphics are great and a good story.

Tomb Raider shows Lara in here early days, gameplay will remind you a bit of Uncharted just more gruesome. Story is good but the gameplay is where the game really shines. Lara gets access to a variety of weapons with the ability to upgrade all of them. There are optional tombs to explore as well as artifacts to find that boost your experience to level up these items. The online mode is fun but I experienced a bit of lag which hampered my experience. Overall the game deserves its praise.

Game is similar to the Uncharted series if curious about this game. It has action and it's also a very cinematic experience. Some things that differs isare the exploration aspect and stealth gameplay.

This game is fantastic. It's ditched some of the game play that made Tomb Raider justice, but what's revamped is acceptable. The story is one of the deepest in the series, and a good start for a reboot. The gameplay plays like Uncharted, The Evil Within, or The Last of Us. The game plays a lot like a film and much like similar games has a few quick time events just when you think you can place the controller down and watch a cut scene. Most importantly, Laura Croft feels more realistic and less sexualized which might invite more women and girls who've been put off by the boy's club that surrounds video games.

If you never played this game and don't have next gen systems pick this game up for your PS3. Its a great story and a return to form for Lara Craft

They have truly have gone above the mark on this new creation of Tomb Raider. It was full of creative excitement. The only thing I found wrong with this game was in a scene I fell off a cliff and every time the game resets at last save point, it continues to keep falling which caused me to start a new game. Some glitch or something. Wish I could fix it.

All i can say is the game is f*****g amazing! Buy it today!

If you love tomb raider games this is a must have .

Though I never got into the original Tomb Raider games, this a great starting point for anyone looking to get into the legacy of Lara Croft. Lara's journey from innocent traveler to hardened adventurer is gruesome but done well, and the gameplay is a lot of fun if, like me, you enjoy third-person cover shooters. The story and a lot of the supporting characters are kind of generic, but there's still plenty more to love here. It may have been pre-owned, but the game definitely played like new with no notable issues

A good game with a great story line and amazing graphics. It's defiantly worth getting or at least buying it pre owned like I did.

This game met all my lofty expectations. If you love adventure games along the lines of Uncharted, then this game is for you. The graphics and sound are all top-notch. It may be a little short for some heavy gamers, but it fits the bill for someone like me who doesn't have a lot of time for gaming but likes to get wrapped up in a good story.

The last Tomb Raider I played was on the PS One, so it's definitely been a while, but this game was awesome. I can't wait for another one.
