I'm not really a big fan of jump scares, but this game has a very well told story. There are some frame drops, but that doesn't take much away from the overall experience. I recommend playing this game in the dark at night for full experience (:

Gameplay is similar to Heavy Rain but with a horror theme. Must play for those who love the horror genre (and super campy feel). Story is great - up to the ending (it gets pretty weird.)

I love this game....they just announced they will be making a second so I will be buying that too. I like scary games and I've been looking for a good one and all of the E3 demos and talks about was making it out to be a scary game, it is but I personally think there was maybe a few spots where I jumped . other then that it was me wanting to kill the characters I didnt like. This game is average for length, but there are so many reasons to re play the game is makes it all worth it. It plays and feels like a movie, just like heavy rain and beyond two souls. I would strongly suggests this to anyone who is looking for a strong single player experience, and best of luck surviving till dawn

The plot of this game is easily worthy of being a movie. Also, while not limitless choices, it's interesting to see how your reactions change the group dynamic of the friends gathered. Even though the content is largely the one story, you can go through it again and pick different options (or try not to screw up on the timed button pressing) to see if other people live or die, or how the reactions change (depending on what choices you make, some people like you more or less, and that character's personality shifts a bit). Worth buying.

The game has a great story that you can change the outcome depending on what you choose. The graphics are awesome too. I hope they make another one, because I already beat the game 4 times. Only thing that might be bad is it lasts only 10 hours.

This is a cliched but fun trip down horror lane. Game produced some fun scares and it has its moments of huh? But overall, it was a fun game. Cool you can play as several different characters, and every decidion you make affects you later.....

Im not real far through the game just yet as it just came out 3 days ago but im far enough into it to say it is a good game so far. Good graphics and story up to this part. Not a cheesy slasher

Didn't expect this to be like tell tale games. Lot of decision making that affects many outcomes. Well done story and great voice work. A bit shorter that I would have liked. I recommend this.

Good game, replay value, nice story line, solid actors ,i would definitely recommend. Don't like the fact you can't have multiple games going. To start a new one you have to get rid of the old one, doesn't let you replay chapters.

The story, characters and game-play were superb. Just wish the frame rates were more stable and plays at 60fps. Otherwise, great game as every decision reflects throughout the story which as the game says "it's a butterfly effect".

This is a must buy if you enjoyed the games Heavy Rain or Beyond Two Souls! The visuals are stunning and the dark atmosphere of the game makes it a bit creepy in an entertaining way!

Excellent game that plays out like an homage to a number of scary movies, with a plethora of branching story points, allowing you to replay the game and get any number of different outcomes.

If you like horror movies, then this will be a great game for you. The characters and atmosphere are awesome, my only real complaint is some camera angles and not being able to invert the controls. This game kept me involved and wanting more.

I can't believe how much I really loved this game. It looked like it could be good, but once I started playing I couldn't put it down. Play this game and enjoy it for the greatness it is.

This game was a reasonable price. With Best Buy being the only store nearby that had a copy. I needed it ASAP as I was playing with friends online and was able to get it the same day. We wanted to play this game first as the developers we're releasing a new game. Giving us a preview of the game to come. These horror survival games are rare on platform systems so we were excited to find it was remade for the PS4. Gameplay is awesome and I look forward to getting the next one from this studio.

I enjoy the cinematic aspects of the game. Don't expect a lot of control over the characters. If you love a game with a great story though and lots of replay value you will love Until Dawn.

I got this on black Friday for $17 after the games club discount, so well worth the money. Heavy rain meets B-movie horror, great fun to play along with friends/family members to make decisions with. Not a perfect game, but was good fun.

This game is incredible, seriously. The replay value and possibilities seem limitless. I can't wait to see all the branches of the butterfly effect. Definitely my favorite PS4 game so far.

This games was good...excellent story decent, game play...but it had me on the edge of my seat it was scary, this horror /thriller was one off the best story driven games I've ever played.

Take all the horror movie tropes and put them into a point and click video game setting and you essentially have Until Dawn. The scares are mostly jump scares versus psychological ones, but that doesn't take away from the thrills this game can give you. You won't like all 8 characters but they are all interesting in their own right. (My personal favorite was Ashley) The butterfly effect system is a great way to really give the player a sense of choice and it helps the replay value as no 2 playthroughs are exactly the same. I definitely reccommend this game to any hardcore gamer and to anyone who's a fan of slasher flicks or story based games
