if you played the original game from way long ago, this is very reminiscent with better graphics, controls, audio. environment is varied. for new players it is close to all the first person shooter but based in WW2 Germany.

Back in the saddle with Blaskowitz. I've been playing the Wolfenstein series since it was on PC back in the day. With updated graphics, enhanced weapon systems and just a deep storyline, this is a must have for any FPS fans.

This version is telling a very interesting story this time around. Definitely a little different than previously. The graphics are not next gen, but that's no big deal. The controls are great and on par with Halo or COD.. Definitely recommend playing.

Bought this game with caution. The last reboot of Wolfenstein wasn't so well done. I was very pleasantly surprised to find out early on this game is quite good, and I definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys shooters that have decent stories.

A straight up grisly, violent shooter with all the Wolfenstein pedigree -- terrific array of bad guys, lots of weapon variety, and a great lead character. Graphics are great, gameplay smooth, sound excellent. Highly recommended!

I think this game has a great storyline and I like the controls and the playability. I was able to sit down and get into it. That is hard to do with games these days. Overall, I would recommend this game to a friend.

I have been waiting for a game that would give me a break from Call of Duty and this one has done that. The levels are well made and the story moves right along. I would recommend this game for fans of FPS.

I loved the Return to .Castle Wolfenstein a few years ago. Has some stealth elements with mindless shooting mixed in. Graphics and cinematics great as well as story. Recommend for any shooter fan!

Great graphics and interesting story. A great first person shooter that lasts well longer than the average shooter. Missions are varied in scene and the enemies grow stronger. Worth it for sure.

With the lack of great next gen games, I picked up Wolfenstein with the great Best Buy Gamers Unlocked deal. Regardless, the game was mindless fun. It was a solid First Person Shooter with an OK story. However, the game lacks any multiplayer, so once you finish it I don't see myself playing it again. There are lots of unlockables and things to find if you are into that stuff. There are also two story lines, so you can play twice if you care about both stories. Overall, it was decent. For the price I paid I recommend it. MSRP, not so much.

After playing the PC reboot years ago, this current reboot of Wolfenstein is much better! The overall gameplay really reminds me of the original game and the shooter style is much less COD and more bullet spraying, however the leaning out of cover system is nice. The only real thing that bothers me is that you have to manually pick up ammo, armor, and health from fallen enemies or otherwise. I think at this point, and with the quantity of stuff that drops after a small skirmish, it should be an auto pickup system, or at least have an option to activate it. Otherwise, the graphics and sound are great and I am really enjoying the game.

Wolfenstein had the potential to be a great games but falls a little short. The story premise is great and the acting is good. Unfortunately, all your weapons disappear as each chapter unfolds and you are given only the most basic stuff to start each level. This is lazy program design and I believe used to make the game harder and longer than it actually is. At times there is a long gap between checkpoints and if you die you are forced to reclear out a level to proceed. This is one of the hardest shooters I have played is quite a challenge even on normal difficulty. A good but not great game.

Old school feeling shooter with modern upgrades. Just plain fun, with an interesting theme. No multiplayer, but it's a really good campaign. Worth it.

Finally a story about Blaskow that didn't stink.Fighting hoards of baddies to save the world from the Jackboot was both fun and interesting in this game from Machine games.

If you like FPS then you will like this game. Good story line that's complete. Cool weapons, and monsters/enemy's. Fun game would recommend to friends!

To be upfront: I had no idea this game was coming out in may until I saw advertisements for it. I'd been loosely following news about it, but hadn't really bothered to check into it. I've been a fan of Wolfenstein since its first iteration invented the first person shooter; Return to Castle Wolfenstein still stands as one of the best PC shooters I've played. Boy am I glad I picked up this one. The grandfather of modern First person shooters comes roaring back with a vengeance. The graphics look next gen, and coupled with some incredible design do a lot to draw you into the dark, alternate world that id has clearly gone to great lengths to build. The story is dark, visceral, and deep, unafraid to delve into subjects games usually shy away from. As noted above, the alternate 1960's world is incredibly presented, right down to frightening displays of the everyday application of the final solution, or whole cities leveled and rebuilt. The voice acting is flawless, and the characters genuinely interesting and well developed. Of course, a game gets nowhere without good mechanics- and id delivers. The controls are well balanced, the gunplay as over the top and awesome as ever, and the enemies are a genuine challenge. Stealth is also a legitimate option. No two battles play out the same way. Simply put- if you're looking for what is without doubt the best FPS experience on Next Gen, pick this up. You won't regret it.

Wolfenstein features a Gritty story showing an alternate timeline where the Reich won WWII using advance tech. Lots of gore and no holding back on exposing the atrocities suffered by many during the war. The Perk system awards you buffs automatically based on how like to play. Like to use stealth to avoid large groups of enemies, there is a Perk tree just for you. Want to dual wield guns and blast your way thru the content. There is a perk tree for you as well. . The game plays great on an Xbox One. Can't wait to play more...

The graphics are great. The storyline is also great. There is no online play for the game, rumor has it, that there will be in an update.

I played the original game back in the 90's. I was hoping this game would live up to the older game. It has a great story line and great graphics.

This game is fun to play. Great graphic and game flow is excellent. I enjoyed the story line as well. I hate I did purchase sooner.
