Customers find value in the gameplay, large roster of wrestlers, and improved career mode of WWE 2K16. Many appreciate the inclusion of wrestlers from different eras and the ease of learning the game. However, some users find the control scheme and submission system challenging, and a few have noted difficulty with certain moves and AI opponents. The overall experience is largely positive, but improvements could be made to address these specific concerns.

Liike the game, one of the downsides is that it is difficult to figure out the movements without downloading a manual. Also, when the different wrestlers in the ring, it often takes longer for them to enter the ring than to find a match.

Not very accessible if you want just a pick up and play option. Crashed almost every time I got deep into character creation, meaning I wasted time. Just sold it off.

It has been years since the WWE engine has gotten an overhaul, and it shows. Clunky animation, slow gameplay, frustrating online play.

The best wrestling game since the PS2 era

A very fun but very challenging game that is probably the most fun I have had with a wrestling game since the PS2 Era. It has the best roster of any game ever and the game play is very solid minus a few animation quirks here and there. The game is worth it alone for just the roster and the mode that focuses on playing through Stone Cold Steve Austins career. But do not except to just jump in and dominate this game unless you are very familiar with more recent releases like wwe 2k15, if like me you come from the ps2 era it has a learning curve.

I bought this used from Best Buy and the game isn't being read by my PS4. My system has never had problems reading discs. I'm very frustrated.

WWE 2K16 is what most fans have been clamoring for: a true wrestling game. Gone are the days of button mashing for dominance. Instead, 2K16 utilizes an enhanced grapple system, working holds, limited reversals, and an improved submission system for a true wrestling simulation. This game does have a steeper learning curve than years past. However, taking the time and effort to truly learn how to play the game will pay off in spades with epic matches.
MyCareer has improved a bit with a longer mode and not auto retiring after becoming WWE champion. The Create a Superstar mode has vastly improved with new materials to utilize for clothing and more options for importing a face. Create An Arena and Create a Championship also make their return to the WWE 2K franchise.
WWE 2K16 is not perfect. The referees are still invulnerable to hits, and while the AI is greatly improved in singles matches, they are easily beatable in multi man matches.
All in all, this is an amazing game for wrestling fans, and 2K is a step closer to making quite possibly the best wrestling game of all time.

Haven't played a wrestling game since SvR 2009 due to burn out. At that point these games were super repetitive and shipped with outdated rosters, however that isn't the case with 2K16. Besides the glaring omission of divas like Sasha Banks and Charlotte, this game features tons of NXT talent and current superstars. Gameplay is pretty confusing at first, especially if you haven't played a WWE game for as long as I have, but it's pretty straightforward and enjoyable once you get the hang of it. Graphics are also great, but some wrestlers do look a bit...off to say the least. Especially older ones like Edge and Chris Jericho who you can tell didn't go through the face scanning process. If you're a fan of the WWE you'll really like this game. If you aren't and are intrigued by this game after seeing previews and reviews, wait until it's inevitably on sale.

This was my first wwe game in years! took a chance on black Friday and I do not regret it.
growing up in the attitude era this game was pure nostalgic bliss!
loved the Austin showcase, playing out all those classic matches was so much fun and im looking forward to the dlc and more showcases.
my 6 year old even loves the game, he likes to have 1 on 1 matches and 2 on 1 matches.

Though the submission system and the fact they mute the word "Federation" in Showcase mode is a bit annoying, the graphics are amazing. And if you're a fan of Stone Cold and/or the Attitude Era, you'll love it on this basis alone
