Prey has nothing to do with the 2006 game or the cancelled Prey 2 whatsoever, so don't go in expecting those. What we have here is an exploration based game that harkens back to titles like System Shock and Deus Ex. So far it's been really good, it's got great atmosphere and an interesting story so far. Only complaints I have so far is that it gets randomly difficult at certain points, and the enemies get repetitive. It's a very solid game. If you enjoy games like Deus Ex and System Shock, you'll enjoy this one.

Prey feels like if Bioshock had a baby with Alien. The Mimics are creepy, the gameplay is open-ended with multiple paths to objectives, and I found the story to be legitimately fascinating as well. Definitely worth a play for fans of tense, claustrophobic horror.

Enjoyed playing this game overall even though the enemies can get a little repetitive, the atmosphere of the game reminded me of the Dead Space series and the skills you acquire are like the ones in Dishonored games. Overall a fun game.

My personal experience with Prey has left me wanting to play more of it. I generally enjoyed the game so far. I enjoyed the science fiction elements of the story, setting, as well as the interactive parts of the game. To sum up Prey, I would consider this a sci-fi heavy version of Bioshock as far as its gameplay mechanics. The story is very much 1900s sci-fi.

Picked this up on PC even though the lack of marketing and hype on the game made me wary. Within the first hour I was hooked. The reviews that say this feels like a hybrid of System Shock, Bioshock, Deadspace and Dishonored are right on. Some quick twitch action, but punctuated with periods of exploration, story building and lore recovery. Note that an incoming patch is supposed to fix some late game problems, but that isn't enough for me to reduce the rating on the game.

The gameplay is mechanically very similar to the Bioshock series. The theme of it is very System Shocky. If you liked either of those things, you will probably enjoy this game.

If you like games like System Shock, Bioshock, Dishonored, Deus Ex, etc. you will most likely like this game. Very surprised just how good it is. Only complaint is that you start out quite weak but by roughly 75% of the way through the story you've amassed so many healing items, upgrades, and perks, you're practically invincible. But it's a fantastic feeling of progression.

Initially I was not sure this would be my particular cup of tea. That being said, I played the demo and decided I liked it enough to gplay be the game a shot. Long story short? Well worth the purchase! The game has an interesting story and a wide range of ways almost every challenge in the game can be approached.

For fans of narrative driven shooters, Prey is totally worth checking out. The story grabbed my attention very early on. Combat is unique and the abilities that are unlocked are extremely fun to play. Runs great on my PC with a GTX 1060 graphics card.

Excellent graphics, great story. I'm ordering the next prey on the moon. Going to be awesome Oh, and I love how when you beat it and play it again you can bring your skills over with the new game. Sweeet

This game is great, the lack ammo and supplies makes this game very challenging and stressful at times but this game is good. Just plain'ol good. I wasn't really a fan of the Dishonored games but I really liked this game.

Good game play and story line. Lots of side quests to flesh out the story and background if you like but can't just blaze through the main story line if that's your play style.

This game is a great first person shooter. The storyline is awesome and the sound and graphics are great. This is a must have game.

Played it years ago. Purchased, but no code was ever sent to me. Not sure if I'd get this awesome game at Best Buy. Not the digital download, anyway.

Haven't finished but it's been pretty good so far. Feels like Bioshock in space. Runs well on PC. Running 1440p at 60 fps with no problems. *Please note the retail copy does not install the game and directs you to Steam to download the game.

I only gave 3 stars due to I got this for my daughter for Christmas. By the way it looks it will be great. I did research and her friend said it’s an awesome game. For the price you can’t beat it.
