This player game guide is for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch. I bought this when the game game out because I was new to the Smash Brothers Games. For anyone who has played this game you know that when you pressing a certain combination of buttons your fighter performs certain moves and attacks. Using a different fighter and using the same combination buttons will have a different outcome of movements and abilities. This guide has great images that show what moves are performed when using a certain fighter and combination of buttons. The fighters that are in this players game guide are the fighters that that were with your game purchase digital or physical copy. This guide gives an overview of each fighter and their vitals. There is a section called CHALLENGES were it talks about the different modes of the game. The different modes covered goes into details about how to achieve certain rewards and what those rewards do. There is an section about the items and what they do in the game also. If you are new to this game this may be worth the purchase to help you get familiar with the game. I know it helped me. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you purchased the DLCs for this game such as the FIGHTER'S PASS VOL. 1 or PARANA PLANT to add to the list of fighters in the game these fighters are not not covered in this game guide. Lastly, it is a well bound book...I give this Prima Games Guide 5 STARS

As Prima Games closes their business, their Collector's Edition guide for SSBU is a beautiful sendoff for the pioneering Prima Games. The book is huge with plenty of in depth information about the different game modes and descriptions of all the characters' movesets. The only thing I wish they had more of is artwork and more detailed strategies/combos, but I already understand that compiling information on 70+ playable characters makes for a huge book in itself.

This guide goes in-depth on moves for every fighter in the game. It's sure to help you understand basic mechanics of Smash and learn strategies for all your favorite fighters. I was disappointed that the deluxe guide didn't include anything special, like art or a poster, to justify such a high price.

Hopefully this review will help save some of you time and money. When I originally bought this guide I bought it for two reasons. One because I like hardback guides for collecting. & Two because I was hoping this would have guides and strategies for all the World of Light campaign fights. Needless to say I was vastly disappointed. The ENTIRE guidebook is just a dossier for every fighter in the game minus DLC fighters of course. It breaks down all their combos and moves and has strategies and in depth breakdowns how best to utilize them. Pictures are illustrated to help you visualize. That’s it. There’s literally 4 pages on World of Light. 2 of which are maps. The other 2 giving a summary of the campaign. There is no helpful strategies or content to assist on some of the more difficult spirit battles in the World of Light which is a huge let down. Quality wise the guidebook is excellent and for collecting serves it’s purposes. For helpful insight though you could do yourself a favor and save money and pass. You’d be better served looking things up on YouTube or the internet. Overall I’d give it a 3/5 due to lacking general insights into World of Light.

This book is full of information and tips. This is the book to buy. The other smaller version is more about just characters. This has much more information. A must buy if you are a smash fan!

We got this guide to go along with the game for our 14 year old son for Christmas. He uses it all the time, and said it is extremely helpful with mastering moves for all the different characters.

This special edition guide is an amazing collectors item. Plus it has great tips and information on how you can use any character (except dlc characters) in the roster.

I really needed this. Never been good at these fighter games. But wanted in in the hype. Game is lots of fun. Enjoying the book as it had unsafe the game more enjoyable for what truly is a great game with a worthy strategy guide.
