I've never played the Phoenix Wright or Professor Layton series as its own. Although I always wanted to try them both I just never got around to it. So when I saw that this game was releasing I had to get it! What better way to start with both in one game :)?? And I love it! The graphics are amazing and this is one of the few games that I actually played with 3D turned on. Voice over acting is perfect. And the music was amazing. Only reason it loses one star is because the storyline was a little off. Also I realized I like the professor Layton style of the game so I see myself purchasing the previous titles of professor Layton series in the near future. Overall excellent game and highly recommend to everyone.

The voice acting, story, game play, and 3D are the best this system has ever had. This is the best 3DS game I have ever played.

I wasn't too sure how I'd feel about this one, but I love it! The crossover is well done so you actually get a solid bit of Layton and a solid bit of Phoenix Wright. If you are a fan of either series, definitely buy this. If you are a fan of both, you should have this already!

A solid addition to AA/GS series

This is one of the better AA games in recent years. It isn't challenging as a Layton game but is enjoyable as an AA game co-starring Layton. Thankfully, it doesn't take place in "America" so the bizarre localization/translation flaws of the past few games don't exist.

This game combines the leads from the Professor Layton series and the Phoenix Wright series, having the player problem-solve their way through the plot. As this is a puzzle game and involves a lot of reading too, it may not be suitable for young children.

Overall, it is a competent puzzle game with both series characters. If you like both games you should like this, but know that if you only have Phoenix Wright experience that there are some fairly tricky puzzles that are atypical of that franchise.

Where to begin. Layton is a puzzle deductive solver. Wright is a deductive puzzle solver. Think about this game as a Law and Order episode without the real world story suggestion.

A perfect mix of both of the games. Though the most die-hards of fans will have the occasional gripe here and there, overall the game is a satisfying crossover that needs to be picked up if you enjoy reshing yet challenging visual novels.

I have played both Professor Layton games and Phoenix Wright games since the inception of both series. While not perfect, it was a blast to see these two come together. Only wish it could have gone more in depth into the joining of the two, but given not everyone has the same experience level/exposure, this is understandable.

Best game I have played in a while. Recommend to Ace Attorney and Professor Layton fans and anyone who loves a good mystery.

The game is a wonderful mix of both the Professor Layton puzzle style, and the Phoenix Wright mystery solving style. The story is very fast paced, and keeps you involved at all times. Myself, not being an avid Professor Layton player, I still found the game very easy to pick up and play, and there were plenty of things to help me out if I got stuck. It's a wonderful game, and I highly recommend it.
