This game has good and bad aspects to it, just like every game. At first the it was hard to get use to the handling of the car but after adjust the sensitivity of the controls it got better. Using a game controller is not the best for this game in my opinion. If you have a force feedback wheel, this game would be excellent for you. The game pays a lot of attention to what real racing on circuits is like. Tire wear, tire warm-up, Pit strategy, warnings for cars approaching, and the progress of the races. They incorporate what you see in F1, Tudor Sportscar Championship, and most other race series with practice, qualifying, and then the race. You also have your pit manager talking to you about what some of the updates are. Graphics are very well done. There are some playback issues I have notice with it skipping or studdering while racing. It is a high frame rate game and this may be the cause for it being a newer game. One problem is the amount of cars that are in the game. There are not to many well known brands in this game. Hopefully they will release more in the future. Overall the game is a good. Dialing down the controls for what device you have makes it better. I like what it has to offer and there is a lot of stuff you can do in the game besides career.

Decent Driving Simulator for the price

I want to be up front that I got this under $10 on a Best Buy special. I personally love this genre along with RPGs. The graphics and the tracks are breathtaking but then this is a current gen console so that should be expected. However, I thought there would be more customization and the car choices were a little bit limited. Also, the controls were not as intuitive like those on the Forza series. I give it 3 stars because of the price but I certainly would not pay top dollar for this game.

This game has spent many years in development and was a passion project. It was to create a true racing simulated in the vain of reactor or iracing. I believe they have succeeded in thier goals. With realistic driving physicist, day night cycle, weather, and many different racing series this game has something for every race fan. Pros: truly a sim racing experience, great career mode, many different forums of racing Cons: not easy to pick up and play, huge learning curve

Shouldn't have bumped the launch date

This game has excellent potential. However, they bumped the release date a few months and it shows. PROS: Gorgeous graphics, good potential, flags and pitting makes it realistic as well as the weather. CONS: Glitchy controls, hidden settings/options tab, and way too complicated vehicle tuning. Many times you'll turn right on the joystick and your vehicle's wheels turn left (or vice versa) and you crash into a wall and have to restart. When selecting a vehicle it doesn't show you quick stats on the side you have to specifically load each vehicle to see anything about it. OVERALL: Overall I think I will wait to continue playing for a few weeks to see if they can manage to patch all the poor things about this game, but right now I would not recommend this game over other racing games.

If you are a hardcore racing game fan this game delivers. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous and are certainly a great experience. I gave this game 3 stars because it did grow stale kind of quick and didn't leave me desiring more. As a far warning this is a true simulator so do not expect to come in and take first in every race or drive like its a crash course. This is not Need for Speed, Burnout, or even Forza to an extent. The career mode is pretty cool also. With over 300 different tracks/variations and several different car classes this game is pretty solid!

Good racing game for someone that is a motor sports fan. The released version still has quite a few bugs in it. A patch has been release and fixed a lot of bugs but there is still a few that need to be fixed. The realism of the tracks is amazing.

Great game if your sick of the forza franchise, the sounds in this game are better than forza by far. Sounds like actual race cars at the race track. The shifter kart racing series are a nice addition and a lot of fun. Game is not 100% tho, there are some glitches, the game was rushed out the door.

This was a bad purchase! The idea was good and there was a lot of hype about it, but the game lacks a lot. Cars 2, if there is one, should fix a lot of the issues, let me explain. When you start the game you have to make choices. There is no information about what effects your choices will have. You have to choose a race class, but there is no information about what types of car(s) would be in that class. Once you start class, you are stuck with that class (as opposed to Forza Motorsport where you can change cars and races at will). To do multiple "classes" you have to be different "drivers." The game "claims" that for each race, you can do practice runs and a qualifying run to determine your starting position (without this you start last). Great, because these tracks are new. However, for the thirds race set, the game started with the race and me last place. There was no practice and no qualifying lap. I tried exiting many times and every time I did not get those options. I could find no way to do anything but start the actual race in last place. The "encouragement" from "friends" via these caned "e-mails" was dorky. In summary, when actually racing, the physics seems good, the graphics are good, and it was okay fun (but not very satisfying), however all the necessary peripherals between starting the game and the actual race is absolutely horrible! It is so bad, that after two race sets and the game failing to perform as stated on the third, I took it back at a loss of $30+. The actually racing is okay, so if version 2 can fix all the other quirks, it could be a reasonable game. Don't waste your money! Spend $20 more and get Forza Motorsport 6!

The game itself is really fun to play if you like racing games. Steering the vehicles is fairly difficult if you are not used to this type of game. I can see why some people get frustrated right away because of this. This is not an arcade racer. If you dedicate time to it you will get better at steering. I was expecting the game to have excellent surround sound but I was very disappointed . It almost sound like monaural sound. Otherwise the game is fun.

I date back to Forza on the Xbox, so you know I'm a huge fan. Having spent countless hours playing the Forza series then playing Project Cars I was shocked at how good Project Cars really is. Forza is a simulation but the mechanics and game play make it a great title. Probably a little more simulation than you would expect. It's no where near perfect but they've captured the real feel of driving in each vehicle. When playing Forza I've always used the cockpit view, only because when I was using the behind car view I always felt like the cars were floatingn or skating on ice. With Project Cars I don't get that feeling, at all. I can race behind car or in cockpit view. Overall game play is great, with decent career mode. My only draw back to this title is the amount of cars in the line up. For the money, under $10 when it went on sale, was a no brainer for me.

For the price I paid I would recommend this game but compared to forza I don't like it as much. Don't get me wrong it's still a good game but there's no customization to the cars. Driving is really hard. It's a real sim.

Project Cars is a great simulator on the Xbox One but it just lacks in a few areas. The game is plagued by many bugs that are still present to this day (7/12/15). Although the patches are getting things sorted out slowly just like with any other game. I think this game can definitely become much better once everything gets fixed but it still seems a little bit boring for myself. I'll stick to Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsports series for the time being as those games offer car customization which is not included in Project Cars.

I was incredibly pumped about this game. First impressions were the graphics were pretty awesome, I have seen better, but nothing that put me off. However, the frame rate for karting (the first two stages of the "Hero to Zero" campaign) is poor causing lag. Although this doesn't hamper me in particular, it is something to be aware of. Other than that, it is an awesomely detailed game with realistic handling and environment

Right now I'm giving Project Cars 2.75 stars. When using a controller the cars are very hard to control. You need to spend a lot of time fine tuning the settings (there are a lot) to find the sweet spot for the way you drive. I can see a lot of potential with project cars being an awesome racing Sim but for now it's hidden behind a very hard to use controller. I'm sure there will be a patch or 2 to fix it. The only other issues I've found is... Random sound echos Hard to find a MP race (not sure if it users or broken match making, my guess is match making needs a patch) I really want to get a racing wheel to play this game I just don't have $400 to spend on it
