Well reviewed but not an "arcade" title. "Project CARS isn’t for everybody. It’s a serious, deep, and demanding racing simulation for people who like their motorsport pure."

Picked up this game on release day. After playing a few rounds i quickly learned this game is from people just like me. I am a racing nut and the attention to detail is amazing. Although the game has its quirks etc: music timing out little commentary online cars jumping around the track etc I find this to be an extraordinary racing SIM. It will take some time to get used to (this isn't forza ppl). Once acclimated to corner entry exit and throttle this proves to the top racing game avail on XB1. Go Seb Go!! Forza Ferrari!!

No frills driving game, not for the weak at heart or skill. Easy to play, HARD to master. A real challenge. Love it.

The best racing game available outside of Forza Motorsport 6 (and a great deal cheaper, I might add). That might change with the impending release of Gran Turismo Sport but overall this is a very well put together and underrated game. The customization options are more abundant than I've ever seen in a video game, especially on console. Note, however, it is a serious racing game. Don't buy expecting an arcade game (NFS, The Crew, Forza Horizon). Project CARS has a more underwhelming lineup of cars compared to its Forza competitors, and all of it his accessed by some unusual and confusing--but not dysfunctional--menus. This game is a godsend for car-enthusiasts.; the game that looks and feels (and sounds) like you are really shredding pavement.

This game was suppose to be the greatest racing game ever made, it did not live up to that reputation! It feels more like an old racing game where the controls are going to drive you more crazy then having fun. Game had so much potential that they lost it along the way.

Project Cars has a great variety of cars and tracks, all rendered with great graphics. I love sim racing, but the handling model of this game is a bit dodgy. It feels like ice. Even high-downforce cars break free too easily. Plus it's almost mandatory to have a wheel with this game. It doesn't work well with a controller. I spent hours online searching for and finding good settings for a controller, and even then, it's not optimal. Assetto Corsa isn't as pretty and offers fewer cars and tracks, but it has a better handling model and works well with a controller.

But nothing else. The menus are quirky and there is literally no explanation for how to do anything at all. It took me almost an hour just to get into my first race. If you love sims....get it...if you love to just race....horizon 2 is waaaaayyyyy better.

Project cars is a mediocre game that doesn't really do anything well. Everything is just ok. It's still a fun game to play but that may be because my favorite games are the racing games. The game is at a cross roads between arcade & simulation.

Its a great simulation game, but its not arcade for sure.
I thought I could configure it to be played as fast-paced arcade game, but couldn't.
Its a pure simulator style serious racing game.
On the good side, graphics are just amazing :)

Got this for $10 as a deal of the day. Decent reviews. My kid liked it well enough. Played it some but moved on quickly. He did like vehicular damage in game. Overall, I think this OK on a bargain.

Whether realistic or not I can't say. I've never driven high speed sports cars so I don't know. But I do play allot of respectable driving games, I've been playing Forza since Forza Motorsport 3, and Gran Turismo since GT4, and when I got this game and turned it on, I couldn't even keep the car on the road. After several cars on different tracks, I went to the internet and found some controller settings that are supposed to help, and it didn't entirely solve the problem, I'm still struggling just to stay on the road. The cars too often feel uncontrollable. I'm very disappointed.
