Camera quality is great, having the app on my phone is convenient but it drains the battery so fast.

Camera cuts out, speaker is dangerous

As many of the reviews mention the camera is not perfect, I would give a good review overall on the camera despite being far from perfect, but the speaker. One day I noticed it wasn't working, flipped it over and the bottom was partially melted. AC adapter is still working and with the correct voltage, was plugged into a newly purchased (same time as the unit) surge suppressor... So faulty fire hazard component is in the speaker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
