Bought for my 19 year old son for Christmas. He loved it. Would not recommend this for a younger child( for it is very difficult to fly). Took quite a while and a few crashes to get the hang of it. But a very durable Drone.

Expensive and unstable for a beginner. The rotor guards break easily as soon as it hits the ground...and when you're a beginner this model will hit the ground.

This was a Christmas gift for my son. He is has been enjoying the Drone. The weather here in Ohio has been good, so has had plenty of time to use it.

Because of busy lifestyle we didn't put together right away but when we did we could not get drone to go higher than 6 in and also one of the top blinking lights is not working. The local best but doesn't want to help us. I am fustrated with these problems and have to take time to get this problem figured out. I would like to have my money back

I got this as a Christmas present and have used it a few times now. First I practiced inside a building with 15 foot ceilings to get the hang of how it moves, I was flying pretty well after one charge of the battery - about 10 minutes flying time. Like others have said, it takes a long time to charge compared to flying time. The propeller protectors are pretty wimpy. I have broken two of them and cracked a third without any real crashes. Fortunately I havent broken any props yet, and the box came with 4 extra. The drone flys nice and smooth, though I found that if you dont have wind at ground level, you may find wind up higher. It took the drone away about 500' from where I started and I couldnt get it to come back my way. Fortunately I was in a big field so I landed it and walked over to get it. Camera quality is not good. The video looks better than photos but the resolution is bad so dont buy based on camera usage unless you get an HD model or have another camera to attach. Its a lot of fun to fly and I look forward to when the battery is charged up again for the next flight.

The picture on box makes you think propeller guards and legs are made of metal but when you pull the drone out of box they are actually cheap plastic. Two of the propeller guards cracked in first two minutes of learning to fly drone. I would recommend wrapping all corners of the guards with a small amount of duct tape for extra reinforcement. I went to Protocol's website to order replacement guards and of course they were back ordered.

This is my second drone, and I'm not an expert operator. The problems is the propeller guards are not sturdy enough, they break easily. When you land if you bounce with to much force the guards hit the blades. I tried to order the guards but out of stock. I guess you could fly without the guards. But you would have to be an experience pilot or you'll break blades The other problem is short battery life 7-8 minutes of flight, and extremely long battery re-charge almost 3 hours.

First drone owner. Fairly easy to fly, but for $250, you would think it would handle a few low-level drops in the grass. The blade guards are super flimsy, and the camera is very choppy. Save your money and read reviews if you're interested in purchasing a drone.

The Galileo! Wow! What a nice sized entry level quad. Initial impressions of this product were awesome but after use Im very disappointed. The wingspan, colors, and design look awesome, it's got great thrust. -1 star for only have two speed modes, even though the box says three. -1 star for the "free app" described in the very poor instructions, being nonexistent. So the craft flies well, but the fpv part is useless currently. I've contacted Protocol twice with no response yet seeking more information or a source for this application to connect to the camera. -1 star for a poor charger. 200minutes or so for 7-8 minutes of flight without a camera. I used my special fast charger for another craft and it charged in 90 minutes and lasted for 10 minutes. It's huge, it looks cool, it's quiet. Poor battery life with no fpv function currently.

The drone flies very well. Actually a lot better than I thought. The camera freezes quite a bit and the pics are not very clear. I would recommend as a toy, but not for any pictures that you want to show anyone. Also very hard to get the bad quality pics from the app to your videos/pics.

    Best drone for the money

This is one of the best drones you can get if you want to get started and are thinking about a dji or something like that in the future. The one downside is the camera it comes with, which I fixed by putting my Sony action cam mini on it. This item is best for for people who want to start flying, but don't want to worry about spending $1000 on the first drone.

I bought this for my son for Christmas. As others have said, the guards break very easily. It takes 200 minutes to charge for 12 minutes of playtime. After playing with it 5 times, one of the propellers quit spinning as fast, throwing it off balance. I returned it and went to my local hobby store. I got two "fighting drones" and one "trick" drone all for $180! The salesman literally threw them against the wall and the ground and they didn't break! They charge in 10 min and we just played with them for 15! The salesman said there are "hobby" grade and "toy" grade. This drone is "toy" grade. Plus, I couldn't find any replacement guards for this drone when they broke (Best Buy does not even carry them and they were back ordered on Protocols website) and EVERY part for the ones I bought today (plus additional accessories like cameras) are in stock at the hobby store!

Saw A guy at a campground flying his quadcopter/s. After talking and a short not so successful flight of my own, I had to get me one. Looked into these things a little and figured I'd get one after Christmas. My wife saw my interest and lo and behold, my Mrs Clause, had one all wrapped up under the tree for me. Unboxing my new toy I found it easy to assemble and thought the magnetized screwdriver that came with the Galileo was a nice touch. They do have some tiny screws to attach rotor guards and landing gear. The instructions are short but clear enough to get started. All assembled up and thanks to my Mrs Clause having the battery all charged up, out for my maiden flight. Let me just say this, it can take a lickin'. It didn't take long to figure out how to fly it and most importantly how to land it, down came easy for me, it wasn't long I was doing flips with it. Trees are still somewhat of a nemesis being mine has been in two of them thus far but I chalk that up to inexperience and a little too much wind. Flight time is a little short, about ten minutes and the recharge time is long. The camera isn't bad. I know that they have better cameras but for the price of this quadcopter you can't complain. Being that I have never in my 59 years ever did anything RC I would recommend this Protocol - Galileo Rc Drone.

After assembly, drone was left on charger overnight. The next morning I flew it for approx 10 minutes until the battery expired. I put it on the charger at 9 am, at 1pm the charging light indicated that it was not yet charged, not believing it I tried to fly it. It was indeed still uncharged. At 5 pm the charging light still indicated that it was not charged. Again, I tried to fly it, but it was not charged. I disassembled, and returned it to the store.
