No so great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was fun, until landing it barely touch the grass and it stop working. It should be more heavy duty for the price.

Good Starter Helicopter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good beginner's helicopter, but doesn't seem to fulfill the 'omnidirectional' description.

Great helicopter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great helicopter. just like many out there, I was concerned as to how the parts would hold up to crashes and falls as I don't consider my self an experienced pilot. this device how ever has been able to take pretty good hits. took a couple of flights for me to get used to it and be able to flight it how I wanted, yes it is a very light weight helicopter so the wind will influence its flight pattern. not much of an outdoor toy but it will do the job for now. only reason why I did not give it a 5star is due to flight time. not much flight time on a full charge. other wise it would have been a 5of5 especially for the price and durability, I would highly recommend it for a beginner like my self

very neat chopper
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally went to get the Protocol - Tough-Copter 3.5, then i saw this one. I figured bigger is better. lol . I am VERY happy with this one! Ive crashed it plenty and nothing has broke yet. Im very surprised at how durable it is. Although i now want the 4th channel, after looking around I found that the SYMA F1 is pretty much the exact same chopper and they make a 4channel upgrade for $12.50, it adds the second servo and linkage. AWSOME!! the circuit board even has an extra slot for the 4th channel.. i swapped the original servo to the second port just to see if it works and BOOM! IT WORKS,, Ive ordered 2 upgrade kits from SYMA and plan on buying another chopper.. SO much fun!

Fun tough little outdoor heli
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used to be in RC hobby and had a few helicopters, some really high end and some generic store bought, wanted to get back in it extremely part time so I picked this up. For the price this heli is a lot of fun. With the Gyro it makes it super simple to fly out of the box. Haven't crashed it yet and have flown about 6 times pushing it to the limit (as far as you can without roll).Defiantly meant to fly outside or in a large indoor court or hanger. The 2.4 ghz control is basic but seems to have great signal strength , pushed it above the good old New England Tree Tops in my yard and flew it out 300 ft or so without loosing signal. The battery can be removed and charged on better charger if you have available, basic 2 cell lipo balance wire. Extra batteries can be purchased for around $10 on the web. All in all really fun, but if you are looking for something that is challenging and extremely maneuverable hit up a hobby shop because this one is not the one. Great starter for someone or just fun to clip around.

Fun for 6 minutes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being my first remote control helicopter, I gave it a pass on that it's hard (not impossible) to steer because I probably just don't know what I'm doing yet. What takes the cake and why I plan on returning it is that you only get 6 minutes of flying time on a full charge, which takes 80 minutes to charge. I came home from work today and my wife says my sons have been waiting for me to get home all day so we could fly the helicopter. Being fully charged, we each took turns flying it for about a minute at a time, and after two rounds of turns it didn't have enough battery power to stay off the ground. All day waiting for Dad, and all they get is 6 minutes out of it. That counts as a total fail if I'm the product developer on this chopper.

Best value for the money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Handles outdoors great. Not hard to learn. This is my second helicopter from Protocol. First was TigerJet and reviews were spot on. One thing to be careful about first time out-- don't let it get so far away that you can't see it well enough to control it. The controller works to like 350 feet away, but at that distance, you can hardly tell what direction it is going. Maybe with more experience it is a different story. But I crashed this several times on asphalt and it still flies great. Power down before you crash so the props don't spin into the ground. I feel I gotmy monies worth on this one.

does not bank/ roll.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Box claims this is a "realitic flight model including left right BANKED turns. But the one we bought...will not bank at all...and only shoots off to left ,,,until we were forced to make minute adjustents in the control links...as the instructions directed when this problem occurs. It is then I discovered that the banking (aileron/roll) servo was not resonding to command at all. ...Perhaps just because my chopper was decective.... But even this case...I thought that this defect needed to be shared and writte up.

Fun little helicopter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very fun and inexpensive little toy helicopter for beginners. Flys great and is very durable. This is my first remote controlled helicopter and believe me I have crashed it more times than I can count and it still works fine. I just need more practice.

Looks nice and appears to be durable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My only problem with this helicopter is that it only flies for about two and a half or so minutes and then needs a rest. after resting 30 seconds or so it will fly for another maybe 1 minute period and after another rest it will fly for another 20 seconds but that's about it. I may have a poor battery that came with it I am not sure. when I charge it, it does charge up to the full amount of voltage and even above that.
