    I purchased this for almost $200 after tax. I’m now writing this review after owning it for 4 1/2 years. We only used this in winter months.When I turn on the humidifier, it just makes a high-pitched grinding noise. I contacted the manufacturer and they let me know that the unit is defective and it will not be covered under warranty or replaced. Seems like a lot of money to spend on a humidifier for it to break down in under five years I would not recommend this product. I cleaned this product once a month with vinegar and water as recommended.
