It's not for anyone that's wants to play the old Tetris it's to challenging no way to not have a challenger if it not a human it will be a CPU

This game is incredible. If you love Tetris this is the first solid version in years if you ask me. The last one I was so hooked on like this was Tetris worlds on game boy advance/original Xbox. Puyo puyo is really hard but just an added bonus to me. It's Dr. Robotniks mean bean machine for sega genesis if you have ever played that.

This is a very fun new iteration of Tetris for the PS4. Puyo Puyo Pop is a great bonus as well, not to mention that it's the first english Puyo Puyo release in a long time. Both games are fun and work perfectly. Playing head to head with one person playing Tetris and one playing Puyo Puyo can sometimes seem unfair though. A long chain in Puyo Puyo can end up filling your opponents full screen. Still fun either way. The graphics and added characters are colorful and pleasant to look at, especially if you are a fan of Anime art.

This game is pretty simple and offers a ton of fun. Just pick up and play with a few friends and it can provide hours of entertainment . Tons of different game modes as well

having some problems. the cursor disappears. shift doesn't always work. probably will return item when I have time

Puyo Puyo Tetris is a fun puzzle game to play. When playing with friends and family, it gets extremely competitive at times especially Swap Mode! Definitely recommend playing if you are good with either Puyo Puyo or Tetris or enjoy playing competitive puzzle games.

Tetris is synonymous with video games, but for those who don't know what Puyo Puyo is, you may have come across it in the 16-bit era as Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine on the Sega Genesis or Kirby's Avalanche on the Super Nintendo. If you still are not familiar with those games, it's okay! Puyo Puyo Tetris has a practice mode to ease you into the addictive gameplay. If you'd rather jump into the thick of it, there are a multitude of modes to explore. Story mode engages you with a cute story and memorable characters. Arcade mode just let's you play a no-frills version of the game. In multiplayer, if you feel stronger in one type of game over the other, you can battle your friends in up to 4-player matches. Beyond those modes, there's still so much you can do. I bought this the week of release and don't regret it.

Tetris is a game which has been done and copied and then recopied over the past 30+ years. I thought nothing could make it fresh and new again but having played a few hours of Puyo Puyo Tetris I see I was wrong and this is an amazing game! If you know Tetris and like it then this is that but smooth and easy to play just like back in the old days. It also has Puyo, which I guess is big in Japan but never really made it big here in the states (other than when it was released as Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine on Sega in the 90s). There are a bunch of game modes which let you play one game or the other or variations of each such as playing a time limit of Tetris on one board then switching to Puyo on a 2nd screen. There is also a story mode (yes really) which is RPG/Anime style crazy involving dimensional travel where Tetris players end up in a Puyo world where nobody knows what a Tetrimino is. This is a lot of fun and its pretty cheap for all you get in it, if you like this kind of game at all you'll not regret picking up a copy.

Having a blast with this game so far. I'm not really a fan of tetris - but my partner is. There are several different modes in the game (including Tetris, Puyo Puyo, a Combination of the two...). It has been a blast since we picked it up. This is a casual game that also seems to have a great amount of depth. I'd highly recommend it for any beginning gamer (everyone knows of tetris!). Word of note - Puyo Puyo HAS a colorblind mode - but you need to Unlock it (Alphabet mode). It only takes 100 coins to unlock (about 45 minutes of 1vs1 gameplay). Interesting decision that doesn't seem to be well documented out there.

This game is so much fun to play!! Anyone at any age will have fun with this:)

this is a great way to play tetris and puyo puyo is amazing as well, its just like Dr Robotniks mean bean machine back on sega genesis with a nice price i definately suggest picking it up if you like puzzle games like tetris

I actually bought this game in 2014, imported from Japan because at the time there was no chance it was coming to the West. I was willing to fumble my way through the Japanese menus and options because the game play on offer here is that good. One of the best Tetris offerings in a good while, and a welcome return of Puyo Puyo, which is my all time favorite puzzle game. There are a lot of features and game modes, online play, local multiplayer, characters, and story mode which is surprisingly well done in the localization front. This game is well worth the value price tag.

This is a great game for people of all ages. It has a variety of challenges, with great graphics and sound. I recommend.

Puyo puyo is an old Sega game series that had many iterations over the years (most of them got localized for the US titles like "Dr Robotnic Mean Bean Machine"). Anyway, this game is an English translated and dubbed version of the Japanese version (sadly you it does not include the original voices as well). It's a fun game for 1-4 player (local or online). So if you ever played and liked any of the puyo puyo games or if you're into games like Tetris and Columns, this is a must buy. Highly recommended.

This was a great way to be introduced to the world of Puyo Puyo. I've loved Tetris for years and its implementation here works as well as you'd want it to. I have basically no experience with Puyo Puyo though and boy does it offer more room for strategy and planning. Learning that has been neat and playing game modes that combine the two can really screw with your head (in a good way). The story mode is ridiculous, but in a fun way (it clearly knows what it is). Overall, a solid way to spend 15 minutes or a few hours. It's multiplayer can be a lot of fun too (and it can be local, a rarity these days).

I've been waiting for this game to get to the US since it came out in Japan for PS4 and Vita and the wait was worth it, amazing puzzle game and great game to play with friends

Really enjoying the game. For those that want to play classic Tetris, this has it and enough variants to keep it interesting. Would recommend for fans of Tetris.

I've always enjoyed both of these puzzle games previously, so it's even better when both of these well-known franchises gets combined into a singular title. Adds a lot of layers to the games, and it's interesting to have these two games together since you would think some of the cross-mechanics may not work as well, but they worked out just fine.

I really enjoyed this game. If you want to get the most out of this, you should play the multiplayer. Great game to bring to a friend or relative's house (playing against my cousin was a blast). Had fun playing this online, but it can be hard to find matches and some of the those might be really tough. Despite this, everything else is nice time and I highly recommend this.

This is a great game, the multiplayer is lots of fun with modes that vary between both players playing either puyo puyo or tetris against each other, or both styles at the same time. The single player storyline is funny and cute, and helped me learn more puyo skills to eventually win (once) against my wife who is a tetris master.
