Pretty good match 3 games with a twist.

The games in the box are very similar match 3 games. A twist that makes them different than most others is that it adds RPG elements like collecting, leveling up and evolving monsters, kind of like Pokemon. Another twist is that instead of just swapping 2 pieces on the puzzle board is that you can take any piece and drag it where you need, swapping places with any piece you drag it past.

Puzzle and Dragons Super Mario Bros. edition is the real star of the show in this collection. P&DZ isn't a bad game by any means, but let's be honest if you are interested in this game it's because of Mario and the gang and not actual P&D content. One of the best puzzle games on 3DS and a must own if you are a fan of the genre or just want a good game to play on your 3DS.

This game is a good mashup of Puzzles and Dragons with the Mario Series. Puzzles and Dragons Z is more of the same game as the mobile version, but with better graphics and a storyline included. It's also a much better version without the energy costs. The Mario Brothers edition is basically the same game, but with Mario themed characters. Fun and easy game to pickup and play. Highly recommended for fans of puzzle games and rpgs.

This game is really fun. I have mainly been playing the Mario version and I really enjoy it. You get to collect different characters for teammates and you train them as you go along doing the puzzles. They each have special abilities to help you win the puzzle fights. I also love the old school Super Mario Bros. 3 map. Nostalgia! The game is pretty straightforward to figure out and a great way to kill time.

Pretty fun game. Puzzle dragons z isn't very difficult yet so too soon to tell if it will be too easy. It does seem to be increasing in difficulty. Match game sort of like bejeweled or puzzle quest. Haven't played super Mario yet but I read that it is more challenging and fun. Makes good use of 3d and good graphics. Worth the price to me.

Two games in one at a budget price

This cart contains both a remix of the original Puzzle & Dragons using Mario characters, and the newer P&D Z. Surprisingly, they did a good job turning a F2P mobile game into a retail release - the grinds are manageable and it's not obvious that you should be spending money to make progress. Nice RPG-style take on the match 3 genre.

Two puzzling RPG adventures await you! Rescue Princess Peach from Bowser or defeat the evil group Paradox by battling enemies with the awesome power of orbs. Drag and match orbs, or chain together combos to deal massive blows to your enemies. Then bolster your forces with hundreds of unique monsters in this two-in-one game pack.

This game is just like some of the more casual games you may find on a phone except they put a lot of detail into it. It is two full games in one for a decent price. You can tell Nintendo really tried to pay homage to many classic Mario titles from the world map to the actual levels themselves. Its the type of game you can put down and come back to at any time. Great Buy.

I was a bit on the fence regarding this title. However, I went ahead and purchased this and my wife is in love. While similar to other puzzlers the RPG element is great! You need to be selective on your moves and party to ensure your are successful while adventuring. Well worth the price of admission.

I had never heard of this free to play phone app until it came to the 3DS. I can see how it can be addictive. I love the fact that it is not free to play on my 3DS. I am not addicted to it as others are, but it is a fun little game to play when I am watching TV or waiting for an appointment.

Don't even both with the dragon part of the game, the Mario one is where it's at. It's a neat spin on the Bejeweled type color swap games, except with all the Nintendo characters you know and love. It's fun, but the difficulty spike around World 4 gets pretty out of hand.

Despite being a Free-to-play mobile game, this is a great addition to anyone's 3DS library that enjoys match-three puzzles and games with RPG elements. Doing away with micro-transactions makes PAD a much more enjoyable experience, and with two games in one, this one will keep you busy for a good long while!

I currently have about 15 hours in between the 2 games (juggling a lot of different games right now), but I have really enjoyed my time spent playing this game. The combination of 2 different gameplay styles (turn based RPG and puzzle game) is a unique mix that provides a different yet fun experience.

The Mario side feels a little strung together at last minute, but the pure puzzle action of this 2-in-1 combo really shines on the Puzzles & Dragon's side. It's a little cheesy but the music and atmosphere is nice and the game is perfect for a train ride.

Anyone who has any love for puzzle games will love this and you not only get one but two versions of the game with different stories.
While the stories themselves are not ground breaking, getting through and clearing the different areas of the world with its various enemies is where the game truly shines. While the over world graphics are nicely done and colorful, the enemies you run into especially the bosses are nice animated and very impressive graphically. But the true star is the gameplay which you will need to use a bit of strategy especially when putting together your team or teams. Suffice it to say, this game can be a true time killer and that is what the best puzzle games do - and this one does very well. On the Mario version of the game it is pretty much what one would expect from a game inhabited with Mario World characters - colorful and well done. The music has some stand out tracks for either of the games that help with the mood of the game.
This really is a must buy especially for an on the go game.

This match 3 or more/combo game got my 7 year old addicted to daily play when the demo first became available. Using elemental types and skillsets, match powerful combos to obtain rare items needed to evolve your team characters. Very engrossing and hard to stop playing due to its depth
