  • A novelty at best, PC connectivity didn't work

    Bought this specifically to play MSFS 2024 because they advertised it will work with Windows 11 which withdrew support for most other VR. They are novel, the image is great and the mixed reality is really cool, but it ONLY works as a stand alone device with any quality. I managed to get it to work with my high end gaming machine with windows 11, but the higher graphics were black and it was VERY choppy, and froze the software. This was with the goggles wired via USB C port. Tried it on my tried and true other gaming machine a Windows 10 and it would not connect. The goggles said they were connected and it would cast to the computer, but that was all it would do. I could not see any part of the computer from the goggles. For what they do, they are overpriced. It is nothing more than a novelty. My computers both have Nvidia 2080 graphics cards, the windows 10 maching has 32g ram, AMD Ryzen 7 7700 processor. Windows 11 machine has 64g ram, AMD Ryzen 9800 3dx. I will be returning it to Best Buy, does not work as advertised. I dont recommend it if you intend to use it with your PC or Iphone.

      Please ensure you are using the official Meta Link Cable, and that you have the Meta Link PC application with the necessary drivers.

    I specifically got the Quest 3 vs the Quest 3S. Even though the 3S is cheaper, I got the 3. It was to replace another 3, so well worth it. It only comes in 512GB and it's replacing a 128GB.
