We have the earlier model and the new feature I like is I can view what my son is playing without his knowledge. Before he would have to give me permission and he never did...Great Christmas gift.

Recommend getting the weighted strap along with it, as that balances it so much better and nearly eliminates tension headaches from the quest being front heavy. Cheers44

Best stand alone vr headset

Solid VR Headset, Great Price

Make sure to look up the proper devise care to make sure it lasts a long time, especially for the lenses. If you use glasses to see things far away, you'll have to use them with the headset as well.

Children make this thing annoying to use!

So far, they have worked really well. My/our biggest complaint is not with Best Buy or the headset, but with the online play. There is a lot of content that we enjoy, BUT, all of the 'open' multiplayer areas are flooded with children. And of course, there are no parents monitoring what these kids say or do. Seems as though the parents just bought these for their kids to serve as electronic babysitters. So, you have tons of kids running around, screaming obscenities, acting like heathens, and totally destroying the experience. And the bad part is, there's no settings to keep you in 'adult' areas away from the kids. It totally ruins it for us. So, unless you only want to play/use content that is set up for solo players, be prepared to be overrun by unsupervised children as young as 5 years old in the games/open areas screaming obscenities and being as vulgar as they know how to be. Anything and everything that is set up for open use multiplayer is child infected. There are no settings to go to an "adult area" only to keep you away from the children. It really ruins the experience!!!

One of my only complaints and it's a big one, is the poor battery life. Not even 2 hours on a fully charged brand new headset. Thats crazy!!! How about an inexpensive battery pack adapter. Oh and its extremely hot on the face
