Quicken Software is great...the change to subscription is lame.

A lot of PCs do not have cd drives now so it’s a hassle when you change PCs.

Just use this software to balance my checkbook. Not happy with the new format.

Keep having problems loading bank account information.

I uninstalled it and will reinstall it later again.

This Quicken version is not what I expected. It does not have the same protocol that my "old" Quicken had. I also do not like the idea that I have to pay every year! Bring back a simple version for those of us who do not want all the extras!

I have used this product for several years to keep track of money coming in and going out. Had to upgrade because previous item had expired and could no longer be updated.

Not happy they went from a one time purchase to a yearly fee. Don't think I will be purchasing this product again... Lost a customer:(

i returned quicken deluxe because i do not need to go online for my monthly banking activities and i do not want to pay yearly fee .

Works for what it is meant for, but overly complicated and I find I prefer just using an excel spreadsheet.

Would not load on my Laptop! Unknown why it would not load.

Seems more complicated then earlier version harder to use what I use it for.

Upgraded from an earlier version. Slower than I expected.

I’ve been an avid user since 2000 but with every upgrade the program gets worse & worse. Now it’s annual subscription, which I hate and won’t be renewing. Looking for new accounting software.

Quicken is difficult to use. All of your investment transactions must be entered manually and individually. Also, the backup file can only be on one device.

I was unable to convert my files to use this new Quicken. I would like to return it.

Not happy with quicken deluxe, not worth what I paid.

I have been using Quicken for 10 years and have even been a Beta Tester for them in the past. I recently purchased a Mac and wanted to try the Mac version while using the PC version at times. When you purchase, you get both Mac and PC version. However, the Mac version of Quicken is not the same as the PC. The file system is different and the platform is very different. As far as PC or Mac version, you have to use one or the other or you will have to enter the transactions on each version which is double the work. I won't use the mac version for several reasons. First, importing was not smooth. I wasn't importing from a competitor, I was importing from the PC version so the problem is perplexing. The mortgage was was inaccurate. Here is what it does. Let''s say you have an interest rate of 4.755%, it imported it as 4.76% using only two decimal places and rounding up. As you know, that totally changed the mortgage schedule making it inaccurate. I had to delete the mortgage and add a new mortgage. It did allow me to manually set up the correct interest rate using three decimal places. Second, it does not associate your mortgage with an asset (Home) like Quicken PC version does. Third, If you want to print a transaction report to compare with your bank records, it is almost impossible if you use split transactions. In the PC version, it shows your mortgage as one figure combining the splits. On the Mac Version, it shows the mortgage as several transactions seperating each split as its own transaction. Let's say your payment is $1000. In the PC it shows that-Mortgage $1000 combining interest, principle, taxes, and insurance. On the Mac, it shows 4 different transactions/payments. One for interest, one for principle, one for taxes, and one for insurance. So if you are trying to compare with your bank record, you have to add all four transactions up . Not very user friendly. The way splits appear in the register is different form the PC version which might be the problem. Forth the file system not being compatible with a PC is a problem. Some of the competition allows you to use your data file on either Mac or PC and they are interchangeable. Bottom line, the reviews on this version are correct. If you are a Mac user, this software is not good. If you are a PC user, it's OK. The PC has received little improvements over the years and the subscription cost is a bit high. Quickens visual interface is better than much of the competition but its functionality I'm looking for. I am testing other products now and am leaving quicken after 10 years.

I've used Quicken for 10 years. Over the last two years, Quicken has developed bugs that the company just can't fix. For the last year, the frequent updates have caused the software to stop communicating with my bank. EVERY UPDATE. It cannot find my accounts or my credentials. I've read others complaints about the same problem. Some technicians can restore them, but not all, and not every time. It seems to elicit more than one error, and this week no one could fix it. Quicken is going downhill fast. So expect problems.
