I am not a fan of Quicken manufacturers as they make out versions of their software outdated just to require you to upgrade each year, even though there is nothing new in the program from year to year.

I had Quicken on my computer for years. We have an IRA that hadn't been updated by quicken for about 3 years so I decided to get the latest version. When trying to update our holdings there are about 5 or 6 that had been sold during the 3 years that we did not update. I have tried to remove them but Quicken says that I cannot. Our Quicken account does not match our IRA account since we can't remove the sold securities.

Quicken 2016 stopped allowing communication with bank and I was forced to upgrade to maintain that capability. Works fine.

2019 Version is greatly improved. The software is fully stable on Windows 10 unlike earlier versions that would crash.

Been using Quicken for twenty plus years. Not crazy about their paradigm shift to "membership," but I do like the program.

I've been using Quicken for years (data back to 2004). It's always had issues, but worked for my purposes. It usually works alright. The one big thing I am getting very tired of is connecting to an account to download new transactions and randomly it decides to grab everything for the last 4 years. There's no undo button, so either I have to pull out a backup, or spend the time tediously deleting the duplicated transactions one-by-one. It's hard to move away when all my data is with Quicken, but maybe it's time to look at what else is out there that may let me migrate the data over.
