I had bought this after a long-time of using something else. I decided to go back to Quicken when I started another business. Was SO disappointed in the interface--clunky, old, difficult to use so I shelved this again. It felt like it was something from the 90's I had bought on a $5 software bundle. I revisited it after a year (was surprised, since I had accidentally left the recurring billing on. lol). I tried it again after what looked like a significant upgrade and loved it. Those things that annoyed me so much I had stopped using it were changed/fixed. The entry method is still not as good as it can be, but I'm very happy with it now. I use this for my personal stuff (still not quite what I need to use for my corporation, but I have a second small business and it is nice to use for that).

The 2019 version of Quicken works just fine. I wouldn't say it's any better or worse than other versions of Quicken I've used. Overall, I'm still willing to pay for Quicken over free tracking tools for what it has to offer. However; I would not recommend purchasing the digital download of Quicken from Best Buy. After my purchase, Best Buy failed to tell me how to actually download the software. They said it was available to download from my digital library, but there was no download link. During several calls and chat support sessions, all anyone could tell me was to just wait 24 hours, for days upon days. Finally, I went to my local store and the awesome Best Buy / Geek Squad employees there suggested I contact Quicken to get my download. Quicken Support helped me download the software to my computer, then I was able to register it using the product key I purchased from Best Buy. In my opinion, I shouldn't have had to call Quicken Support to walk me through the process to get the product I purchased from Best Buy. Or at the very least, Best Buy should have been able to tell me from the start that I would have to take those extra steps to get my download, rather than telling me to just "wait 24 hours and try again" for 4 days straight. I could have ordered the physical copy and had it shipped to my house faster than it took to eventually get my digital download.

Like everyone else who has been hanging on to Quicken for the last few decades, I was forced into ponying up for the subscription version. The price would not seem too steep if I hadn't already been a loyal user for over 30 years. As it is, I can only offer that the upgrade came across easily and that there are no bugs so far (if you don't count the fact that Best Buy did not have the download and I ended up having to go to Quicken directly...). Personally, I'm not sure this product will survive the tremendous amount of negative press they garnered by essentially blackmailing their existing customers.

I haven’t used the autopay but the budgeting and seeing where money is going works well. Connecting to banks and credit card companies worked better than expected. It takes a while to set out and it isn’t the simplest to learn. The videos are well done if you take your time. It seems a little expensive for what it is with a yearly renewal model. I won’t use next year, but it’s good to get a base to enter into cheaper apps next year.

I saw this item on Best Buy and a competitor's web site for the same cost, but the competitor's web site had an extra two months of connectivity. I opted for Best Buy however because the other option said that it would come within a few days, and I had the day blocked out to work on my finances, which is when I found out I needed to upgrade. Bought the digital download. Shortly got the link for download. The download link was broken. Called Best Buy. Was told that they didn't know why, and would send me instructions for how to download the program in 6-8 hours. I asked if it could be expedited, as I bought this expecting it to work from Best Buy and was told that was not possible. Got the email 5 hours later. The instructions on the email were incorrect for the software I had purchased. I found install instructions from another site and followed those, which did. Then, I typed in the software key that Best Buy sent me in the email. It did not work. Second call with Best Buy, and they asked me to look in my account at the key there. The key was mistyped in the email. They acted like this was my fault. Spent multiple hours and wasted the entire day attempting to download this product to use it. Was not offered any compensation or even apology for the issues. Will not plan to purchase it or other digital software from Best Buy in the future.

Quicken is still one of the most robust software programs for accounting. It's overpriced, in my opinion, but no alternatives that I've found have done quite as much as it does, either. I don't like that they've switched to the yearly licensing, but for now the features that I need keep me locked into coming back.

This looks like a good product. I need to learn how to use it a little more but it will prove to be helpful with a small business.

As a landlord, this program is a great way to track my expenses. even if I were not a landlord, Quicken is a great way to track spending and income.

Quicken forces you to update every 2 years or such. If you don't, online account features disappear. It's a decent but often glitchy program, but once they have you, you have to continue to pray.

I’m not an expert by any means at computers or even at book keeping but this program is pretty easy to figure out

I could not get this to download from BestBuy. I had to spend some time on the phone with different departments until I finally talked someone into refunding for me.

I Love it! Very convenient to update accounts, easy to download banking transactions, easy to use categories to keep track of spending, has a budgeting feature.

I have been a Quicken user for almost 25 years. The current version of Home and Business functions virtually flawlessly. My wife and I are using it for tracking all of our household finances, our investments, our assets and our business. We are constantly aware of our net worth, now, which is in our opinion the best measure of overall financial success. The system and data is now a one-stop shop for the executor of our estate should they have to administer our will. We do almost all our banking through Quicken online and scheduled transactions. Mistakes are virtually eliminated, no overdrafts, and we can monitor our transactions daily. It is not difficult to use.

I can put in all expenses and contributions easily. Quicken walks you through it. Love how easy it is to get my taxes done. Excellent customer support. I only needed it twice in 10 years.
