I truly didn't know what to expect from a connected sprinkler controller. I have Nest t-stats, WeMo outlets, Hue lights, connected home alarm, etc. The Rachio is, by far, the most cost-saving connected device I own. I am able to fine tune the irrigation zones to properly water my plants and lawn, and I can force it to adhere to local watering restrictions. This thing is amazing.

I love how easy it was to physically install it in my garage and the software setup was just as easy to follow along. It’s too soon to determine how much money the automated schedule will save me but it makes a lot of sense for everyone to have one of these installed. I can’t count how many times I forget to turn off the sprinkler system on rainy days. This device pulls data and makes smart decisions on the fly based on current local rain forecast and wind speeds. It also integrates with Alexa. I am waiting for the jehova witnesses to come knocking on my door Sunday morning so I can tell Alexa, “Alexa, tell Rachio to start zone 1 for 2 minutes.” That will soak them :)

This sprinkler controller is worth every penny. It is actually the second one I have purchased - the first one was setup 2 years ago and has never been touched. The app and website are great and give you every option you can imagine. The best part, it actually saves a good amount of water, using the weather to dynamically adjust how much it will water and when.

Replaced a standard Hunter Pro-C sprinkler controller with the Rachio. Installation was a breeze, and I have been very happy with this so far. Grass is gree, with a fraction of the watering I used to do. I no longer have to adjust for the weather, as this unit does it all. I also paired it with a Rain Bird rain meter and works well so far.

I love this controller and wish I would've bought it sooner. The only issue I had was some unclear instructions on the wire contacts. I originally thought you needed to pull it down like a switch instead of pushing it in. But once I figured it out, I finished the install in 10 minutes. I love the alerts and ability to adjust each individual sprinkler.

Will skip watering based on weather and also adjusts each month for seasonal shift. One great added benifits is being able to turn everything on and off from your phone. This is really handy when you are adjusting or cleaning sprinkler heads because you don't have to keep going back and forth to turn them on and off, just use your phone.

Just installed yesterday. Very simple procedure. Be careful when inserting wires, it might be difficult to take it out if you got the zones mixed up. Take pictures of existing unit wiring before replacing an old unit. I checked this morning and it has skipped watering all zoned due to rain forecast in local weather station.

So easy to install and to use! Installed in about 15 minutes and off to programing. It takes a bit to fully understand it's capabilities and you should know what type of soil and grass you have. But that is not an issue. When it comes tome automation this product left me wondering what will I upgrade next.

What can I say....it just works. And it works beautifully! Easily one of the best smart home products I've purchased....and I have purchased MANY! It's more expensive than some of the other smart sprinkler controllers, but it works flawlessly. Installation and setup was a breeze too.

Got this on the recommendation of a few different people. Easy to install and configure. Only gripe is the clip to hold the cover on is very difficult to use with the thicker wires used on my previous controller. Configuration was a breeze and now i'm up and running.

Read all the reviews online and expect this product will expect rain so skip and that it. In reality, it does more than that. it actually collect days weather and then compare the condition to determine if water is needed and it does automatic skip the "wasted" watering. The key is to spend time at the beginning to enter all the necessary info, what kind of springler, is it a slope, how much degree, what kind of soil etc Try to find a station that is close to your home also helps. A Strong internet connection helps and I simply buy a WIFI extender and put it in my garage and it works well! Never see a drop in connections and my apps will tell me every time there is a skip. It goes beyond my expectation and I think it actually make my plants better because of not over water. Should give this a try. I have seen other people hack this device to use one of the channel to control their low power landscape light. Have not try it and not need to. It is truly a well engineered product.

I'm new to smart irrigation controls, but now I can't imagine going back. Rachio works perfectly. I name areas that makes sense. Instead of zone 1, 2, etc. It even lets you include pics of the area. Setup was so easy. The entire installation and setup was completed in twenty minutes.

I was not aware how much I needed to control my landscape watering until I got this product. AMAZING. It has saved me lots of money by saving lots of water usage. Also, received rebate from water company. Product is worth its money. Its an investment not a waste.

This product is excellent. Before buying my concern was WIFI that if it randomly disconnects and no user interface on the device. it is easy to control from cellphone and so far so no disconnection issue. However still missing user interface on the device itself.

I have some other Sprinkler Controller brand and I would tell you this is the best by far not only help you save water it also email you that in a rainy day the Sprinkler Controller will automatic cancel you schedule for that day. Great purchase ever.

Easy to install, get programed on my Samsung S7 phone and iPad and the day after installation it rained and with a scheduled watering the following day it delayed the watering cycle saving me water use. With the exorbitant water rates in Hewitt that was great.

This will look at your local forecast and determine when to water. It has a lot of options and functionality. You can do set schedules, or you can let it do it as it thinks it should and save money. If you pay for water, this will save you money for sure.

Somewhat easy setup (Takes much longer than 30 minutes) and you definitely need the Outdoor cover (sold separately) if installing outside, however, it is soooo much easier to setup your sprinklers once you get the wiring done. The app works really well. And might be able to get $200 refund on my Utility bill! You do have to make sure you select the proper soil settings and keep and eye on how long the system waters your lawn for the first 30 days. Overall a great buy!
