This movie is by far one of the most violent and beautifully choreographed fight scenes in a long time. The violence is heavy and the story line was pretty much stolen to be used in Dredd which is also a good film but by way of the original raid.

Great set up for the new franchise featuring some of the best fight scenes ever choreographed for film. Every true martial arts fan should have this one in their library. For the complete experience, pair it with The Raid 2 and add it to your collection!

A Asian Swat team gets trapped in an apartment building while investigating. There is no one inside that's with them, all will be against. This movie is awesome, so much action, great martial art scenes. If your ok with subtitles, then this film is for you.

Yo, awesomeness , dredd was good but this it where they got there story from. Realistic scenes keep you guessing if the team going to make it. Soundtrack is dope and fitting. This is where action movies should be right now and I can't wait for the raid 2.

This is one of the better action movies released in the past decade. Great story line, it pulls you constantly throughout and the fighting sequences keep you on the edge of your seat. Plus, it's a special date night movie memory with the beau <3

While I recommend the Raid 2 over this movie (strange but true that the sequel is actually better) this movie still packs a great punch. Story and characters are interesting enough, but the action sequences are very unique and very fun to watch.

I enjoyed the realistic hand to hand combat that was employed in this film vs the cgi effects that are so prevalent in films today. It had a thin plot but who cares when there's the loads of excitement generated by the vast number of fights this film had!

This film is packed with some impressive and memorable fight scenes. The violence level is a bit high compared to a film such as Ip Man, though. So this may not appeal to all viewers. If that doesn't dissuade you, then you're in for a real treat.

This is one of those movies that is better to watch with the subtitles than the English voice overs. Great action scenes great director and great soundtrack. Picked it up for $9.99 so grab it

One of best martial arts movies ever in my opinion. This disc has the English voiceover which sounds a little corny. I'd rather read English subtitles but that's me. Doesn't take away much from the movie though. I recommend

If you can get past the subtitles like I've always been able to do then you're in for a real treat of a movie. From start the finish the action in this film is top notch. Def a must watch.

A very good martial arts film. *The second one is even better and ups the ante. But a simple story, packed with a lot of gritty action. The runtime is long enough to make you feel like you didn't get cheated. Because the film is gritty, don't expect the transfer to be spectacular. For the price is just right.

The Raid has a very basic plot, but the action makes up for the lackluster story. The choreography and camera work of the movie is some of the best I have ever seen. One of the best, if not the best, action movies in recent memory.

I saw this movie when it first came out, and it's hard to improve on it, though the unrated version does. The transfer was excellent, and I really enjoy watching it on my home theater.

This movie is fantastic. Excellent action and a compelling plot. It can be a bit brutal with the violence, but most great action movies are anyway.Plus, if you're the kind of nerd who likes special features, there's over 100 minutes of extra content on the Blu-ray. Definitely recommended.

The action in this film is incredible. Seriously. The martial arts and gun play are stupendous. You'll have a fantastic time watching some of the more bonkers set pieces. I can't wait to watch the sequel!

An action movie with stunt actors doing what they do best, kicking the snot out of each other. For me the dubbing was meh so watching with original language and subtitles made the film a much better experience.
