After several spinoffs and side projects, the Ratchet & Clank series has gone back to its roots in one of its best installments yet. With gorgeous graphics, refined gameplay, creative weapons and gadgets, and the humor that has become a hallmark of the franchise, Insomniac's PS4 debut stands as one of the console's best offerings, one that I hope also marks the beginning of a new era for the studio's winsome duo.

This game is so good, lots of elements of what would eventually become Spiderman on the PS4. Funny, charming, and overall a great game. Love it.

Ratchet and Clank is a solid platfomer game for playstation 4. Has a good story and good for families and all ages. There is a Ratchet and Clank game coming out soon for Playstation 5 so I wanted to play this before the Playstation 5 version comes out. The graphics are good and the story and cut scenes flow well like the original Ratchet and Clank on PS2 but with PS4 graphics and improvements. I got this game for $9.99 so it was a great deal.

This is the first game I played on my PS4 console. This game is wickedly fun, the amount of weird and creative weapon options makes playing so enjoyable. My only complaint might be that once you've unlocked the RYNO gun (far into the game) it can become fairly easy even on the hardest level setting. But, that being said, when I want more of a challenge I chose not to use the RYNO to make things more difficult for myself. This is a great game for kids and people just getting into gaming and more experienced players. Although I feel nerdy admitting it the character voices and game dialogue are actually part of why I've played this game through multiple times already. There's a lot of humor integrated into the script. Important Note for Best Buy: When I received this game from you in the mail the disk case was badly cracked! It didn't end up being a problem, because the disk itself was not scratched, but I have to use a CD case for storage now. Kind of a bummer. I felt I needed to add that here.

When I heard they were remaking Ratchet & Clank for the PS4, I was very excited. I have played the series since its start on the PS2. After playing it, I was very happy with how it turned out. Loaded with a plot straight out of the feature film, this is a great movie-based video game. This games takes many of the levels from the original games and adds in a few new levels. You will see many of the characters from the original game as well as some characters from the film. The HD graphics are fantastic, making every minute of the game, each explosion fun to watch. The story is blander than the original, with a lack of meaningful interaction between Ratchet and Clank. The story moves fairly quickly at certain points, adding plots and characters (such as the evil robot butler) that were only touched up on in the movie. While the story is awkward at times, the action and gameplay more than make up for it. It is very fun and I found myself replaying it several times, getting all of the trophies and unlockables. In addition, Ratchet & Clank is loaded with humor. It is narrated by Captain Quark, whose quips had me rolling from start to finish. Overall, it is a great game that I recommend for all ages and for fans of the original game.

Fun game. Good story and characters with some fun, silly humor throughout. The graphics are pretty good and the game runs well. Gameplay is fairly intuitive and easy to get the hang of. The weapons are pretty varied and fun to use and it's not too difficult to collect the currencies to purchase and upgrade them. Overall a very enjoyable, easily accessible action-adventure experience.

This is a joy to play for any Ratchet & Clank fan from the initial runs on the PS2 and brings back that same fluid game play of the original few games. The game is a re-imagining of the first game so it treads similar grounds as that game in terms of the storyline but it still feels fresh as the game play upgrades definitely make it worth playing. The storyline is funny and zany and it's clear that the game doesn't take itself too seriously which is great these days for gamers who are tired of the mature storylines that are so commonplace these days. There are a huge variety of weapons and each have their uses. There is a leveling up system for both the characters and weapons which adds some grindability to the game as well as a new game + type mode which allows you to keep your weapons and play at a harder difficulty. The only downside is that the game is relatively short but the lower price still makes it a great deal because I had a ton of fun playing this game. It brought me back to the early days of gaming and showed me again why I loved games as a kid. It's a simple third person shooter with great platforming and shooting mechanics that plays great and is a lot of fun throughout.

Ratchet and clank ps4 takes you through the main story of the movie, which in turn, follows the storyline of the original game. The series still has its charm, and gameplay is still great years later. With collectibles, optional missions, and more, it's hard to pass the game up. The 20 dollar price tag makes this game a steal in my opinion. Plus, the R.Y.N.O can now be built instead of having an enormous price tag of bolts in-game.

As someone who never really enjoyed playing the previous Ratchet and Clank games this one honestly just blew my mind! The graphics were phenomenal, the story was really great, the gameplay was really smooth, and it was just a whole lot of fun to play. It might be one of the best PS4 exclusives out right now and for $40 it is definitely worth it!

I think this is a great remake of the original game. I am a huge fan of the ps2 and PS3 games so I was super excited for this game and it mostly lived up to expectations. First, it was kind of short. I would say it takes about 15-20 hours to do absolutely everything. I guess that isn't so bad considering the price but I was still disappointed. Second, the story kind of misses almost completely. Since it ties in to the movie, it feels like they left a lot out. There's none of the character development of the original games and the back and forth between ratchet and clank is basically gone. Third, I feel like they could've added an arena since the game so short. It's a staple in the a lot of the games after the first and adds a lot to the games. With all that said, it's a very enjoyable game to actually play. The controls work great, the weapons are a lot of fun, and blowing everything up is still extremely satisfying. If you're and action adventure/platforming fan this game should be a must buy for the price. If you're a long time fan of the series, it may miss what made the games so charming but it's still a ton of fun to play.

Very fun with plenty of challenging missions & cool upgrades & an entertaining story. I thought it would be super kiddy & a cakewalk but it's not! Some stuff stages get real hard & you probably not gonna be until you've lost a few times lol Definitely recommend to anyone all ages

I grew up playing the Ratchet and Clank games, and have played every one to date. This game is sort of a remake of the first Ratchet and Clank game, but not exactly. The first R&C game got the HD make-over on the PS3 a few years ago, but this game is totally remade, with new levels, story, weapons, and beautiful graphics.

This might be the best Ratchet & Clank game I've played and that is saying a lot. Each weapon gives you a diverse way to play and fight enemies to your tastes, there are fun bosses, a lot of humor, great platforming, side missions and quests to take part it, plus mini-games. The game is a blast. Must own for every PS4 owner!

If you play this game you will know what my title to this review is about. Ratchet and Clank have been around since the first Sony Playstation came out. It is one of Sony's franchises. The games are 1/2 platforming and 1/2 shooter. The weapons you get in the game range from a wrench to a gun that shoots a disco ball that makes all the enemies dance. The platforming is usually easy with some exploration too. The graphics look like a Pixar movie that you can play on your Playstation 4. It is one of the most fun games that Sony has made for their PS4 system. It is also affordable at the 20 dollars price. If you have a PS4 or just bought one and want a new game give this one a try... you might like it.

I never played the first Ratchet and Clank.. Actually, I never played any of them. However, once I saw footage of this, I knew it would be a great game. The graphics are BEAUTIFUL. The gameplay itself is fine, but it can get repetitive. The thing that's great about this game are the various weapons, they are very cool. The story itself can vary depending on how long you take to find the golden bolt and such, but it lasted me about 15 hours or more. Very worth it.

Incredible graphics and great new animated cutscenes taken from the new movie help to bring this PS2 classic to the Playstation 4. Exellent controls, a great variety of weapons, and levels and game play that are reminiscent of the original but not an exact copy. Great platforming fun for all ages.

Playing this game is like watching a Pixar movie. It's a great game for adults and kids. I can play with my young son as the story is funny, and the weapons are over the top and comical. Example: One "weapon" launches a disco ball complete with music which makes the enemies break into dance.

Ratchet and Clank broke records with this release and it's no question why, it's SUPER fun. Great for kids and even better for adults. The graphics are killer and the story is fun. I honestly felt like this was a little overlooked and for the cheap price tag you get a FULL game!

I didn’t like the Ratchet & Clank series back in the PS2 and PS3 days, although I did respect it from a technical perspective, being one of the most beautiful collection of games on those systems. Maybe I just wasn’t into third-person mascot shooters. Something about this remake, however, made me a believer. It took almost no time for it to click, and I ended up having the best time playing through it. I enjoyed it so much that I went through it multiple times to get the Platinum. Much like the PS2 game it is based upon, this is one of the most attractive games this generation, looking almost Pixar-like at times. Playing it on a PS4 Pro reveals an even greater level of detail and sharpness. A wide assortment of unique weapons, excellent level design, and an intelligent New Game Plus implementation round out what is arguably the best remake of this generation.

My buddy let me borrow his original Ratchet and Clank that was released in 2002. I thought it was very entertaining. Now all these years later they make another one for the the PS4 and it looks fantastic!! Gameplay is very much the same. It has all the humor as before, too. Not super challenging, but still entertaining. My six-year-old twin boys will love it!! For the money, it is a great buy.
